#41 – He cheats on you
"Ready to go?" Calum, who is seated next to you in the taxi, asks you.
"Yeah" you reply with a smile.
"This is going to be the best surprise ever" Calum grins in excitement.
"I agree and thank you so much for bringing me here!" you say, "I can't wait to see Michael again!"
"And I can't wait to see the look on his face" Calum chuckles, "It's his birthday soon and what could be a better birthday present than bringing his girlfriend on tour with us? I mean, he miss you a lot and... yeah I just want him to have a great birthday"
"Aw Calum" you giggle, "You're really a great friend! You're just so sweet, nice, thoughtful-"
"Stop if before you make me blush" Calum cuts you off and covers his face with his hands.
"Okay okay, I'll stop" you giggle and pat his head, "But thank you, this really means a lot to me too"
"You're welcome" Calum answers with his face still covered, "Finally I don't have to listen to you two have skype sex or something"
"CALUM!" you shout embarrassed and hit his arm, "We just talk on skype like any other normal couple that's far away from each other!"
"Okay sorry!" Calum chuckles, finally uncovering his now red face, "It's not my fault both of you make such weird noises while 'talking', you know?"
"You know what, I think I'll just ignore you for the rest of the ride to the hotel" and with that, you don't say a single word to Calum for the rest of the ride, just like you decided. Calum tried to make you laugh with a few lame jokes or grimaces, but you managed to keep a poker face on and not 'give in'. In the end, you two finally reached the hotel. Calum payed the taxi driver, helped you with your bags and you two quickly made your way to Michael and Calum's shared room.
"You can get the keys to your room after we surprise him" Calum says as he places one of your bags on the floor next to the boys' hotel room door.
"Okay" you reply and place your other bag on the floor too.
"I am pretty sure Michael is here now, so we have two options" Calum tells you, "We can either use my key and just walk in and surprise him, or we can knock on the door and surprise him when he opens it... so what do you want to do?"
"It's actually the same..." you mumble, "But I think it'll be funnier if I just suddenly unlock the door, run in and tackle him!"
"Yeah!" Calum grins while searching his pockets after the key, "Can I please record this by the way?"
"Of course" you smile, "I think it will be fun to show the other guys too"
"You're right" Calum smiles, "Here is the key and unlock the door on my signal"
"Got it" you grin while Calum takes up his phone and gets ready to record. You slowly place the key in the keyhole to the door and look at Calum, waiting for him to give you a signal to barge in through the door.
"Hey guys! As you know we are on tour and guess what, I brought Y/N here to surprise Michael since it's his birthday soon" Calum talks to his recording phone, "And Y/N are you ready?"
"Hell yeah" you grin, not wanting to waste anymore time away from your sunshine.
"Then let's go!"
You don't hesitate for even a second and quickly open the door that's separating you from the man you haven't seen for almost three months. With a big smile and a grinning Calum behind you, you quickly run in and spot your black haired boyfriend on one of the two beds.
"MICH...ael..."
"SURPRI...wow...dude"
Both you and Calum just stand there and stare at the horrible view in front of you. Michael, the man you have been dying to see again after the day he had to leave you at the airport for tour, is now fucking cheating on you. He is just lying there on top of another girl, only in boxers. Calum and you are still just staring in silence while your brains are slowly proceeding what's happening in front of you. Is this really what it looks like? Is Michael, the greatest boyfriend in the whole universe, really cheating on you? No way... this can't be true... he would never do that... never. Michael said he loves you and he promised that he would never do anything to hurt you... he promised to never hurt you.
"W-What the hell!?" you suddenly shout, startling everyone.
"Y/N..." Michael whispers as if he still doesn't believe it's the real you that's standing in front of him.
"I said..." you mumble, "WHAT THE HELL MICHAEL!?"
"Y/N...I am... I just" Michael mumbles out of words while quickly getting up from the bed and walking towards you. He reaches out a hand to touch you, but you quickly smack his hand away and glare at him.
"What are you doing!?" you shout, beyond furious.
"I am just..." Michael whispers, still in shock, "Just give me some time to explain please, it's not-"
"It's not what it looks like? Huh, is that what you're going to say?" you snap and turn around to Calum with his phone, which is still recording, "Hey guys! Guess what! Michael just cheated on me, isn't he just the BEST boyfriend ever?"
"What the hell dude!?" Michael suddenly shouts, "You're recording!?"
"Of course!" Calum almost shouts back, "This was supposed to be a birthday present! Do you know how much I had to go through to be able bring Y/N here just for you? And do you know how fucking much she missed you and was looking forward to this?"
"Calum...Y/N...PLEASE just let me explain-"
"Just stop" you cut Michael off, "Please just stop talking"
"But Y/N-"
"I want to go to my room now, Calum" you whisper before walking out of the room. Calum stops recording and is about to follow you when Michael beats him to it. Before Calum knows it, Michael grabs your arm and tries to hold you back, begging for you to listen to him.
"Dude, let her go" Calum grabs Michael's shoulder, "She doesn't want to talk to you right now"
"Please..." Michael begs, still not letting go of your arm.
"Michael, don't make this worse" Calum who is still holding Michael's shoulder, suddenly drags him backwards so he loses his grip on you and you get away from the place where everything went wrong.
"No, I have to explain it all to her" Michael mutters as he grabs his jeans on the floor and starts dressing up.
"You're only going to make this worse, as I just said" Calum tells his friend who is looking for his shirt that's somewhere on the floor, "Let me talk to her and then we both let her calm down before you come with your 'explanation'"
"I...don't know..." Michael mutters as he bottoms up his shirt, which he just found.
"Please, you're both my friends and I can't let everything end up in a mess right before your birthday" Calum says.
"...Fine..." Michael ends up agreeing.
"Thanks man, I am sure she just needs to calm a bit down and then she is ready to talk to you" Calum tries to cheer Michael bit up before quickly leaving the room.
"And you" Michael looks over at the confused girl who is just sitting on his bed, "fucking leave this place"
"B-But-"
"LEAVE NOW"
And with that, the girl hurriedly gets out from the bed, grabs her clothes and leaves the room. The moment the door closes, Michael just pulls at his hair and screams out. What the hell has he done?
