I have done my pet peeves in general but I must say, there are enough things on this website that piss me off to make a whole rant about it
1) The Famous
I have probably talked about this before but I hate when people let "wattpad fame" get to their head
Like you are a teenager who has followers bc you write smut about Niall Horan, that's not exactly what I would call being "famous" chill
Not bashing people who have a lot of followers, just bashing the people who let it get to their head
THE WORST is when they call their followers "fans" Don't get me stARTED
2) how R books can't be rated in categories
THIS MAKES ME MAD BC I CANT FIND ANY QUALITY R BOOKS BC OF THIS.
I WANT SOME QUALITY MATURE CONTENT IN MY LIFE WATTPAD
I'm honestly surprised this book hasn't been forced to become R yet since the amount of uncomfortable smut in here is becoming a tad ridiculous
3) hate accounts
I don't understand the point of hate accounts. Like why do you take the time out of your day to run a hate account
If you hate something, don't make a wattpad dedicated to it??? Wouldn't you want to stay away from the thing you hate??? Not be around it 24/7????
I've seen accounts literally made to hate on one direction fanfics and fans.
LIKE WTF WHO PISSED IN THAT ASSHOLES CEREAL THIS MORNING LET US READ OUR FICS IN PEACE
4) Ghost readers
I get that someone shouldn't just be writing because of votes/comments, but it's just nice to receive them...?
If you like a story that someone is writing, especially if they don't have much support, send them a nice comment or vote!
It takes a second and you really don't realize how that can affect someone's mood!
Literally when I got my first comment on my first fic, I screamed and called my friend bc I was so excited. (The fic is deleted tho bc it was so embarrassing wow)
Also don't just be one of those readers who doesn't vote or comment on someone's story ever and just leaves a single comment saying "update" jfc
5) rude ghost authors
Now on the other side, we have the ghost authors
I personally don't care if an author has no author note or a long ass one. (I actually like authors notes like let me know all about u aw) but I hate when the only authors notes they put are either "vote goal- 400000" or just a novel explaining that they will delete the story when the goal isn't reached
Getting feedback is important but if someone is already getting massive feedback and getting butt hurt bc they aren't getting the 60 million votes they asked for, I get a lil annoyed
6)New layouts
@wattpad, y u gotta change your perfectly fine layout all the time.
The new writing page makes me so annoyed it's so easy to accidentally post an unfinished chapter it's kinda terrifyiNG.
instead of changing the layout they should focus on glitches?? like now when im on my phone and i click to view a comment, i can NEVER see it.
ugh pls wattpad just let me know when i get a message, let me see comments, and brING BACK THE STATUS BAR I AM NOT OVER THIS

Guys I was flipping a shit yesterday bc my dad is currently in Japan and a big earth quake just hit there I almost shit myself.
He's ok tho he emailed me saying he's good but he got pretty shaken around.
If i have any readers in Japan I really hope you and your family are ok! Sending my thoughts to everyone affected!
