"Are you even listening to me?"

"Yes hun" I say not realizing I was staring out of space.

"Yeah so that's what happened" Candice finishes her story.

I hate that I didn't hear half of it...I get what she's saying but I'm still lost.

"What was you saying?" I ask.

"Nyam mi" she rolls her eyes applying lipgloss to her lips.

I burst into laughter.

"I hate picking out clothes sometimes" I sigh and flop down on my bed frustratedly.

"You just seem lazy...this is not the Aaliyah I know" Jada says.

She's right.

"What you not getting no dick?" she asks looking like she wants to laugh.

Well that is one of the reasons too.

I hiss my teeth and look at the dress in my hands that I'm planning to wear.

"What time does your mom say it starts?" Candice asks.

"I think she said 6 when I spoke to her earlier" I say.

"Is food gonna be there? " Jada asks looking up from her phone.

"Duh...how yuh love yuh belly suh" I say laughing.

She hisses her teeth and her focus is back in her phone.

"How does it look?" Candice asks getting up from the vanity mirror and showing us her makeup.

"Cute , I love it" Jada says.

"Wah tek yuh from yuh man" I say.

"Okay why not" she says pouting her lips.

"Gyal yah cheat pon mi" Jada adds jokingly and we burst out laughing.

"Your not leaving that man" I say to Candice.

"Nah ask Christ" she says aloud.

"Girl you sure he got you like how you got him" Jada asks her.

"Yuh Badmind bad" Candice says rolling her eyes.

"Where Ajay could've gotten time to cheat on me we're literally together everyday, when it's not you guys it's him" she adds.

She would be surprised to know.

He looks like he loves her tho.

7:55 pm

We arrived at the concert minutes ago and of course we were still late.

Can never be early.

The vibes are right and I like the choices of the gospel music they're performing.
