A/N: Hey guys and girls here is the next chapter of my story. I hope everyone enjoys it and I would love if anyone made comments on my story. This is my first story ever so knowing that it is at least decent is a big confidence boost and makes me work on the story more. Thanks!

When we walked out of Madame Malkin's, Hermione and Ron were waiting for us. I couldn't help but notice that Harry was fuming, but before I could ask what was wrong Hermione piped up, "Harry, you look like someone just hexed you, what happened?"

"Malfoy is what happened. He just grabbed Stacy for no reason, I guess just being the git he is." I felt a bit of anger rise up in me and I must have had the same look on my face because when Hermione and Ron looked towards me they had a sympathetic look.

I was not angry at this Malfoy guy, but that Harry didn't know exactly what happened and accused him of harassing me. "Harry, how can you just accuse someone of doing something like that when you were not there to see what happened!"

Harry was stunned that I yelled at him like that. "S-s-sorry Stacy, I just thought....well its Malfoy that's why I thought that."

Hermione popped in, "Stacy don't take it the wrong way its just that Malfoy is not the nicest person around."

Ron, "Ya, like Harry said he is a git."

"Well I don't know him, but he was not mean to me. Who is he anyways, does he go to Hogwarts too?" "He is Draco Malfoy from the Slytherin house and the worst person that you could possibly know."

Hermione had such a hurt look while telling me, Ron put his arm around her shoulders and I could see the connection those two had. I wanted to ask Hermione what she meant, but knew it was better not to ask.

After we finished shopping for the rest of our school supplies we headed back to the burrow. The whole time I was with them, Harry made sure he was right by my side and I felt as though we were close friends even before this.

My parents and I stayed for dinner at the Weasley's, after we headed home. I felt myself slip away once my head hit the pillow, but before I drifted off into a deep sleep I saw a pair of beautiful gray eyes and a pair of sparkling green eyes staring at me. I didn't know what it meant, but I knew instantly the two people whose those eyes belonged to.

 -----------------------------

I was awakened from a dreamless sleep by my mother yelling for me to get ready because we had to get to the train station. The ride to the station was pretty boring and silent until my father spoke up,

“So Stacy, looks like you and Harry were getting pretty well acquainted.”

I couldn’t help but blush, “Yeah, he is really nice, I like him, you know as a friend only.” I couldn’t look at my parents, since I knew I felt something more with me and Harry.

Once at the station my father took my luggage while I walked with my mother. We got onto the platform and I told my parents by hugging each of them tightly.

“Don’t forget to write to us every day and if anything happens, let us know. Bye sweetie, take care.”

My mother had tears in her eyes when I looked back at them from on the train and waved. It didn’t take me long to find Harry, Ron, and Hermione in a compartment by themselves. I sat down next to Hermione daydreaming about what Hogwarts is like.

Then I felt Hermione nudge my shoulder, I looked at her, but she was just staring at the compartment door. Looking towards the door, my breath caught in my throat as I saw those silver gray eyes again and I felt my stomach flutter.

Before I knew it he was gone and Ron looked at Harry, “What was that all about mate, it looked like Malfoy wanted to eat Stacy.”

I laughed trying it get rid of my flushed face, “That’s crazy Ron, we don’t even know each other why would he care about me.”

I looked at Harry and saw his face red with anger, “Are you alright Harry?” Hermione waved her hand in front of his face.

“Yeah fine, so Stacy? Do you hope you’re in Gryffindor with us?”

“Of course, I don’t know what I would do with myself if I was anywhere else.” I flashed Harry a smile and saw his eyes light up. I couldn’t help but feel I wanted to be more than friends with Harry, but there was another feeling that stopped it and that feeling came every time I looked into those silver gray eyes.

When we arrived at Hogwarts I had to stay with all the first years since I had to be sorted into a house even though I was a sixth year. I felt awkward in the great hall, but felt calmness come over me when I caught sight of Harry waving at me, I waved back, but caught glimpse of a blonde head and noticed he was looking at me too.

“Stacy Thompson.” A woman who had introduced herself as Professor McGonagall snapped me out of my trance. I walked up and sat on an old stool while a rugged old looking hat was placed in my head.

“Mm….A Thompson, yes…You are brave and strong that of a Gryffindor, but there is something else that stands out in you.” I winced at this, I thought I would surely be in Gryffindor without any objections.

The hat continued, “There is a power in you that would do wonders in Slytherin as well as you have the hidden traits of a Slytherin.” I felt my eyes tear up thinking I would be put into the house that was rivals with my new friends.

“Then it is decided it shall be…..GRYFFINDOR!” I felt as though the world lifted off my shoulders, I walked towards my tables that was clapping hysterically and sat next to Hermione.

Dinner went by with laughs and conversations about my life up until now, but the whole time I could feel as though someone was staring at me. We (Harry, Ron, Hermione, and me) headed to the common room after dinner. I was so amazed by the common room, it felt like a home away from home.

While the others went to bed, I stayed up in the common room and then decided to explore the castle. I knew I wasn’t supposed to be out at this time, Hermione told me about curfew, but I was never one to miss an opportunity of exploring a new place. While I walked around I came to a tower that overlooked the castle, it was such a beautiful sight and I just stood there looking out at the sky reminiscing when I heard someone step behind me.

“You know you can get in trouble for being out at this hour, let alone being here.” I turned away and saw Malfoy.

I couldn’t think of anything to do so I just stuck out my hand towards him, “Hi, I’m Stacy Thompson, I’m new to Hogwarts.”

He looked hesitant as though I had a disease but shook my hand anyway. “Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, what’s a goody two-shoes Gryffindor like you breaking rules on your first day?”

I couldn’t help but feel a bit hurt at this question, I stood even taller and remarked, “It’s none of your business if that is how you are going to talk to me.”

He looked stunned and I almost regretted my retort until he stood next to me, “You know you would make a great Slytherin, but since you’re a Gryffindor, I’m going to apologize now.”

“Why…” was all I could say before he grabbed my hand.

“Here I’ll walk you back to your dorm, you’re not so bad Thompson.” I could not speak with the butterflies in my stomach but just smiled and followed him back to the portrait of a fat lady.

“Well Thompson, guess I will see you around, but I will give you this warning next time we meet you may hate me.” I tried to ask him why, but he had already started walking away.

“Bye Draco.” I crept into the common room luckily no one was up looking for me. I quietly went to my room and changed, laying in bed all I could think about was Draco and what he meant by me hating him, I felt like I could never hate him all I wanted to do was get closer to him. Then I fell into a peaceful sleep.
