Hi, author here.

I just thought I'd add this author's note to give some readers my point of view.

I see SO MANY comments comparing my story to other stories written by other incredible authors (a common one I see is Mutual Help, which is an incredible book). However, comparing my story to someone else's isn't good. I know everyone thinks by doing this, it's a compliment. However, to authors, it comes off as readers saying my story isn't unique, is just another version of another story, or that my writing is unoriginal. This genuinely is disappointing to see because I spent so many months writing this story as I do with all of my other stories (Chef's Kiss, Love on the Pole, Airplane Pt. 3, etc.).

ESPECIALLY when I see comments saying "omg this reminds me of this other book that actually got updated today." This takes attention away from my story and is essentially saying my effort and time spent writing this book was for nothing if other readers are going to tell readers to go read another book instead.

Now I'm not saying this to be rude or anything. I just want to show how this comes across as. Also, I know I'm not the only author to feel this way. A very popular author on here whom I've had a few conversations with here and there also has made it clear that they don't like this either and feel the same way I do.

This story was written in 2019 so please do not be comparing my stories to other stories, it's heartbreaking and feels like people are saying my writing is nothing special/unique.

So please refrain from comparing my writing to someone else's.

Thank you.
