After putting on my hero costume and narrowly avoiding the patrol bots, I had finally made it out of UA, and ready to fight some crime. I checked my phone for the time, 12.30, before pocketing it next to my notebook. I don't really know what to do now. I guess I should just be walking around, waiting until I get a call from danger sense. The nighttime silence gave me a chance for reflection. It also made me doubt if what I was doing was right. But I have to. Villains are becoming bolder. Like today, for example, those criminals decided to rob that grocery store in broad daylight, and Ochaco and I were the only 'heroes' in the area to help. Someone needed to do something about it, and if I had the power to do so, surely it is my moral obligation to do so. I'll face the consequences of leaving school campus at night times later. And even if I get expelled, it shouldn't matter. I still have my provisional hero license. If anything, being expelled from school would give more time to do this hero work. It was still a worst-case scenario, being expelled. I would rather juggle this, school and a social life. I've learnt from my predecessors the dangers of completely abandoning everything for the sake of 'the greater good'. I seem to have walked pretty far away from school now, and I felt a tingle. Right, time for some work. I follow the direction of the danger, and it leads me to a rooftop. I was overlooking what looked like an arms deal. What is it with all these arms deals recently? Ever since I studied with Mirko-senpai the number of these gangs exchanging weapons have increased by a lot. I wonder if the MLA have anything to do with it, since these weapons looked a lot like the ones that Dabi and those other people used to attack us that night. Okay, just follow senpai's plan. Observe first. Make a plan. Execute plan. I see about twelve people, one person who seems to be distracted by the weapons. He must be the buyer, and the people next to him are probably with him. That makes the other two as sellers. If I can knock them out, since they are the ones who are armed, then I should have an easy time fighting the other ten or so people. I silently alert the police on my phone before jumping down; axe kicking one of the sellers before landing. Using that momentum from the fall, I sprung up and lunge kicked the second. Another tingle, I turn quickly revealing the other villains. Some of which were armed, I guess I was wrong about them not having weapons. Luckily, they were only pistols, which were slow enough for me to dodge, and weave my way around each of them, knocking them all out with one single strike. Efficiency. Precision and technique over power, that's at least what I had learnt from watching Kendo knock out Monoma with one single hand flick. The body is filled with pressure points, and if I can exploit them, I can make quick work of these fights. After knocking them out I walk over to the craters that the weapons were stored in, and I observed them, taking one of them out for a closer look. Nothing too special apart from a neon blue strip the illuminated the weapons so that they were glowing. It was weird seeing a light on these weapons. Was it a power source of some sort, or just fancy decorations? Probably not the latter, no one is stupid enough to give away the element of surprise by holding a shiny gun. But if the light was some sort of power source, how did these guns work. I locate the thing that is emitting the blue light, before pocketing it and placing the gun back in its crater. I round up the villains and getting them out of the alley way and into the street. I waited for the police to arrive; Nana was accompanying me as it was deadly silent in this part of the city. Eventually the police do arrive, and they ask me what happened,

"Well, I think it was some sort of arms deal, I think these two were selling those weapons to the rest of them," I say while pointing to the various things I was talking about.

"Alright, that's all. Thanks. What's your hero name?"

"Errm, Deku... Why do you need it?"

"Well, all officers have to note down the names of the heroes that have done work, so the safety commission can keep fair tabs on the general crime being stopped by heroes. It's so it's all fair at the hero rating billboard stuff,"

"Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense."

"Alright, that should be it," he says as his partner had just finished loading the van with the criminals, she throws a thumbs up back to the officer in front of me. "We'll make sure these guys get to the station." I thank the two of them before leaping back up to the roof tops, ready for my next mission.

By the time I got back, it was about 3.45 in the morning. I think one of the patrol bots had caught me, so that's gonna be a lot to explain tomorrow. I float into the window I had left slightly open, and silently make my way to my room before collapsing onto my bed. Patrolling on my own was tiring, and somewhat boring. Even though I had Nana there accompanying me and guiding me in what to do in certain situations, I was still a little lonely. I guess the eerie-ness of the night made me feel isolated. It was weird. There were hardly any civilians walking, or cars on the roads or stuff like that. I guess people are scared of the amount of crime happening just out of their doors, and really, I can't blame them. But that's why I'm doing what I'm doing. I get up to my laptop, wanting to log everything I had noted down before going to bed. Before opening my digital notes, I notice an article written by some newspaper. It read 'Best-Jeanist returns to the hero scene' and after a brief cursory reading I gathered that he had teamed up with Endeavor and Hawks to try and stop crime. It filled me with a lot of relief. I wasn't too sure if Best-Jeanist was alive or not. From what Toga had told me, Hawks had apparently killed him to 'prove his allegiance'. It was something I forgot to ask him, so this was relieving too hear that he was actually alive. And somewhat comforting that the top three heroes had decided to band together. With that kind of power at the forefront of hero society should be able to scare villains somewhat. Logging in my notes took a few minutes since, despite being out for over three hours, I hadn't come across much crime. I finally slump onto my bed and fall asleep. I was so tired; I didn't even take of my hero costume.
