*Deku's POV*

I was a little nervous. It was Monday morning and the first week of winter break, and we were spending that week at our work studies. Since Mirko didn't have an actual agency or office, I was staying at her house. I didn't really know what to expect. It felt a bit intrusive too. Like I was entering her private life, when I'm only meant to be learning about being a hero. Oh well. If it weren't okay, I don't think she would have said yes. I walk up to the house, after a forty-five-minute train ride to Hiroshima and press on the buzzer. A voice calls out a few seconds later,

"Who is it?"

"Izuku...Midoriya, I'm here from UA... for the work study." I say rather nervously. A few more seconds pass, and the gates open. I hesitantly walk into the front garden. It looked really pretty. It was like a traditional Japanese garden, with a footpath leading to the door. There was bushes and trees, even a pond with a water feature. This was really... peaceful. I'm about halfway to the door, when the door opens and I see Mirko standing at the door,

"So, you're Midoriya," She says shouting to me as I get closer,

"Err yeah, I'm Izuku Midoriya, it's an honor to meet you Mirko, thank you for allowing me to study with you."

"Yeah yeah, let me take you on a tour around this place and show you where you'd be staying," she says as I walk past her into her house. She takes me around the house, it looked really nice. It was modern, not like the traditional garden outside. She showed me around her room, the living room, the kitchen, the gym, which was massive by the way and where I was staying.

"So, this is your room for the week, settle down, unpack or whatever. Come back to the gym in a bout fifteen minutes in gym wear, I want to see what you can do." I nod as she closes the door. I notice a bit of a grin on her face before she closes it though, which had me a bit worried. I've heard on forums online that she is a very tough opponent, so if training were fighting her, I knew I would have to learn quickly. I look around the room, its pretty big, a bit bigger than my dorm room. There's a bed, with a plain white duvet and pillow, a desk with a lamp on it and a wardrobe next to the desk. I place my small suitcase next to the wardrobe, as I wasn't really ready for unpacking. I get my briefcase with my hero suit in it and set it aside, she said I should wear gym clothes, so I don't think I'll need it now. I get changed into my UA gym clothes and start making my way down to the gym.

When I get there, Mirko is already in the gym, lifting some weights. She set them aside once she noticed I was there. She chucked me a pair of what seemed like boxing gloves and shin pads that were really thick. She starts putting on a pair of her own while saying,

"So, I read about you in that file your school sent. You have pretty impressive power."

"Thanks, but I still need to improve on my combat technique, and who better to come to then to you, Mirko." She smirked at my comment,

"Flattery won't get you far here," I knew what I had to do. Mirko was the type of person who would only respect someone who matches her chaotic energy and enthusiasm to combat. And I needed to do exactly that. Once I put on my protective gear, we both stand facing each other on a strip of blue mat that ran across the width of the gym, it wasn't very wide though,

"Okay, rules are simple. No quirks, other then that, anything goes. The objective is to knock the other person off the blue mat." I nod, signaling that I understood. "Ready, GO!" She says while charging toward me with a roundhouse kick. She was fast, before I could even react, I felt the full force of her kick hitting my shoulder. I lose my balance but was able to retaliate by placing my hand on the floor and using it as a pivot to swing my leg into kick her. She dodges, somehow. But when she landed, her attacks didn't stop coming. A flurry of kicks fly towards me and I use my forearm to block the majority of them, but the last one just slammed my entire body into the floor. This was gonna be hard, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
