Chapter 16-Birthday presents

School had just finished, and the class were in the common room now, everyone was talking about where were they thinking of studying. Ochaco and Tsu were returning to Ryukyu, and Kirishima was returning to Fat Gum. Everyone else was slightly stressed about having nowhere to go. About ten minutes of slight panic from everyone, Todoroki came up to me and asked,

"Midoriya, where are you planning on doing your work study?"

"Erm, well I'm not too sure, I don't think I'll be returning to the Nighteye agency, since they've been pretty swamped with keeping things afloat since his death, and I don't want to overwork them with more paperwork when I'm there. But I think I do have someone in mind. How about you, you are going back to Endeavor?"

"Yeah, I have Bakugo joining me, which should be... interesting to say the least." I chuckle, knowing he was referring to his personality. I quickly leave the dorms for a few moments, heading for AllMight's office. Once I got there, I asked,

"So, I was just wondering about these Work Studies. I know she doesn't have an agency, but I was hoping if I could study with Mirko?"

"Mirko...? Erm, I'll see what I can do."

"Thanks, AllMight,"

"If you don't mind me asking, is there any reason as to why you want Mirko?"

"Well, since I have switched to using mainly kicks, I have noticed a bit of a decrease in my combat speed and ability. And who better to learn from about strengthening my kicks the Mirko. I mean, her leg muscles rival that of yours." AllMight seems to be satisfied with this answer, and after a few more minutes I left, heading back for the dorms.

*Ochaco's POV*

This week had been pretty normal, most of the class were a little stressed, trying to find a place to do their work study, I was pretty lucky in that I already had a place. Deku had gotten a place with Mirko, which made him the first sidekick Mirko has ever had. I was really happy for him. I knew this was a pretty big opportunity for him, and seeing Mirko recognize his strength made me feel a little proud.

Today was also pretty average, well in terms of lesson. Today was also my birthday. And after Math with Ectoplasm, we all returned to the dorms, where everyone wished me happy birthday. I say my thanks to everyone, and the girls then retreat back to Mina's dorm to get ready for the 'party'. I spend a while doing some homework, since I won't have much time to do it tomorrow, when Mina bursts through the door,

"Hey girl! We are finally ready for the party! I have come to retrieve you, everyone is waiting! Come on, come on!!!"

"Alright, alright, I'm just putting away my books and then I am coming," the pink haired girl holds me by the wrist while playfully dragging me to her room.

I had made my way through most of the presents, and they were all really sweet so far. Momo had bought me some really nice smelling perfume. Jiro and Hagakure together bought me a polaroid camera, which was really cool, and Mina got me a Macrame photo display so I could place some of the photos from the camera in it and put it up on my wall. They were all really cool, and I loved them all. I had two presents left to open, one from Tsu-chan and the other from Deku. I go to open Tsu-chan's, it was a silver bracelet, with a star on chain.

"Thanks, Tsu this is really great," I start putting it around my wrist, "It looks really good," It was met with compliments from the other girls, about how pretty it looked and how Tsu-chan was always good when it came to presents. I unintentionally left Deku's for last. I know it would make things more awkward afterwards. I go to open the last present once I do I notice some gloves. I'm a little confused, as there was no pattern or anything, they were just plain black. I lift them out and notice there were only two fingers on the gloves. There was also a note in the box too. It reads,
