We made it past the first wave of Nomus, knocking out as many of them as we ran past. I see the door to the lab where I sensed Shigaraki down far end of the corridor when suddenly, I hear a crashing coming from the room adjacent to the one I was heading for. A tingle formed in the back of my head... High Ends. The wall of the corridor bursts open, and we see two high end Nomus, and several more in these pods, trying to escape. This was going to be difficult. Mirko starts with a powerful axe kick, kicking the Nomu closest to us. I follow up trying to swipe its legs and knock it of balance and it does falter. We move onto the next, when senpai shouts to me,

"Hey Izuku! Get to Shigaraki! I'll handle these for as long as I can." I hated leaving her like this, but I knew she would handle them for as long as possible. I sprint towards the door, breaking it down as I do. My eyes quickly dart across the room, and I finally see Shigaraki, looking a lot different to the last time I saw him. His hair was pristine white, and his skin looked really clear. He was floating around in some sort of vat of purplish liquid. I speak through the comms trying to ask for my best move,

"I've found Shigaraki, he's unconscious in some sort of tub."

"Try and destroy it Deku," I hear the voice of Endeavor coming through the earpiece. It sounded like he was running, I don't think he's yet to make it to senpai. I walk up to the tub, and notice a bit of machinery, the screen shows a loading bar, like one from the loading screens on games. It read 'twenty-five per cent'. I though about what Hawks said yesterday, that Shigaraki was about twenty per cent. I started breaking the glass of the tube after a bit of hesitation. Was this really the best plan? If it took almost a month for just a quarter of the experiment, then we would have another three months to think of a better thing to do. I guess my concerns were raised a little late, because before I even realized, the liquid he was bathing in came splurging out onto the ground. Shigaraki's body slumped to the floor. I undid all the wires that were going into him, restraining him with some of the capture tape I was given, and quickly go back to aid senpai. I enter the room with the wall broken down, and see Mirko using her Luna Tijeras on one of them, completely decapitating it. If there was one thing we learnt from Endeavor's fight with the high end, it was that they all had a weak point, and this was most commonly the head. Once we had dealt with that, there was no regenerating from there. I voice over the comms one more time before engaging to help her,

"I've captured Shigaraki with the tape, but he's currently unsupervised... I'm helping Mirko with these high ends,"

"Good job, Deku. I wish I could say that we are right behind you, but... we might be a while." Endeavor says. They must be having some trouble with the Nomu on their side. I noticed that one of the high ends have escaped back to them, the one that we kicked from before. I go into smash the Nomu that was inches away from hitting senpai, and she quickly turns to join me in my assault. This Nomu seemed to have a quirk that allowed it to turn into water. It made it difficult to hit it, as every time we would swing, it would just turn to water. I could feel the battle getting harder. It felt as though they were evolving. We were fighting for so long, and it came to a point where it felt like we were barely able to keep up with holding them off.

We weren't able to do any damage after a while. All of the high ends were now out of the pods and we were having trouble even attacking. Mirko and I were backed into a corner as well, which didn't help. If something didn't change soon, it would be lights out for both of us.

As I'm using my new move, Luna Smash, to get a bit of distance between us and the wall, I see a flicker of fire from the corner of my eyes. With both of us as a distraction, Endeavor was able to sneak up on the other Nomu and deliver a deadly attack and completely burning one of them up. This brought the total number of  Nomu we had defeated up to five. Six if you include that little lizard-dog looking one. Endeavor was also followed by other pros, and they led the Nomus in all different areas, separating them so we can swarm them one by one. Which we start doing successfully. It's only then do we hear over the comms from Present Mic,
