Chapter 22

Akashi couldn't help but admire the person he had developed a new found love for, actually, he had been infatuated with them. The simple but caring smiles they always aimed towards Akashi, the comforting hugs and the childlike teasing. The constant babysitting that was basically them just checking in on Akashi, daily.

Takeshi Iwasaki. The most popular guy in the Academy and Akashi had fallen in love with him as if there weren't hundreds of other people who'd fall in love with him at first glance. His face looked like it was carved by the greek god of beauty, Aphrodite. Anyone and everyone were practically throwing themselves at his feet every day and Akashi just had this one small measly crush on him, well, to Akashi it felt like a huge adoration which would crush his soul as it overwhelmed him.

He felt his shoulder be nudged gently while the outside breeze blew in his face, it was soothing. Along with the breeze, all of Akashis worries and insecurities blew away. Ruki smiled behind him, watching as his friend's shoulders relaxed.

"Whatcha thinking about Raspberry?" The blonde queried. His head tipped to the side like Quinns would if he was confused or asking a question. It was a habit Ruki and Akashi had picked up by chance, Haruka remained resistant to the wolfs influence.

"Takeshi," Akashi replied subconsciously as he stared away at nothing in particular, he was lost in thought. He never flinched at Rukis' nudges or pokes. He just continued to stare away effortlessly, images of Takeshi and his kindness swirled around in his mind. They taunted him, knowing that Akashi didn't have the confidence to confess.

"Takeshi huh?" Ruki snickered as if he had an idea, one which may be Akashi wouldn't particularly like. Haruka pushed forward and shook Akashi by the shoulders, in a successful attempt to bring him back to reality, it took a threatening glare from Haruka to shut Ruki up, to stop him from snickering quietly while he schemed.

"Come on," He ushered them both towards the direction of the food hall. "We need to get something to eat, Quinn said he'd meet us there with the twins, Akashi sweetie, please snap out of it?"

"Sorry," he hummed, quietly following behind the energetic demon and the motherly vampire. His focus was anywhere other than where it should've been.

"We're here!"

"Haru! Ruki, Rosey! You came on time," Quinn cheered from his seat between the Alpha twins he often called his saviours. While on one table the twins sat with Quinn between them, Haruka took an empty seat by Sousuke and Kenji who sat opposite them. Meanwhile, on another table Akashi sat next to Ruki opposite Takeshi and Landon who were enjoying the variety of food options that were laid out on the table, most likely Landon had retrieved the food for Takeshi to taste.

"Are you two alright?" the demon leader asked politely, not wanting to discard their wellbeing while he had the chance. He glanced from Ruki to Akashi who was sat in his chair, he seemed stiff, his eyes avoided any and all contact with the pair in front of him. Akashi felt insecure, he couldn't help but wonder how close Landon and Takeshi actually were, they always seemed to be together, and they were never apart from each other for long periods of time.

"We've been good, right Raspberry?" The corners of Rukis mouth curved upwards. Takeshi looked at the blonde fondly, taking a mouthful of the pasta Landon had recommend, while the demon vamp hybrid fussed around with various other dishes of food.
