The team was out in a case in the small town of Toledo, Ohio. Small town, meant tidy community. Tidy community, meant sexist cops. It was one of Lily's first cases, so she was about to figure it out the worst way possible.

"What did you find out?" Gideon asked, as he walked into the small room reserved for the BAU at the Station.

"I'm on the phone with Penelope and JJ and we just found out that our unsub, Mr. Ryan Andrews was actually out of town when all the murders happened." She said.

"Where was he?"

"Apparently he was in Cleveland, working with his company." Penelope's voice came from the speaker.

"Alibis?" Gideon said and Lily spoke up again.

"We checked, Sir. His co-worker, Brandon Kennedy said they were together for the period of the four days. They were sharing a room. Also, we called his clients, all of them said both, Kennedy and Andrews attended the meetings."

"So, we're back to nothing?" The Sheriff asked, as he entered the room.

"Actually, I think our profile is right. The only thing we got wrong is the gender of the unsub." Lily said, before standing up and walking toward Spencer, who was revising his Geographic Profile.

"What do you mean?" Gideon asked, interested in seeing, for the first time, Lily's so called brilliant mind work out a case by itself.

"Right... So our unsub is killing blonde women and we assumed it was guy living around here." She said, pointing toward the mark Spencer had made on the map in front of him. Gideon nodded, urging her to keep going. The Sheriff crossed his arms in front of his chest. "What if it is a woman? I mean... The unsub ties his victims before killing them. What if it is because she knows she can't take them without it?"

"So... A short woman, we're talking about?" Spencer asked.

"Most likely." She nodded.

"But why would she be doing that?" The Sheriff asked.

Lily turned to face him. His tone was harsh, sarcastic, as if he needed to challenge him. She frowned, but turned back around to face the photos of the victims.

"Has anyone talked to the wife of Ryan Andrews? Janet is she called?" She asked, as she went through the information they already had.

"Hotch and Morgan." Gideon said.

"And what did she say about Ryan's ex-wife, Lorraine?"

"Nothing much. She said she tried not to think of her." The older man said.

"And what about Ryan? What did he said about her?"

"He said he tried not to bring her up."

"Why? Because he was still hurt or because Janet doesn't like it?" Lily asked as Spencer stared at her.

"So she's killing those women out of jealousy?" He asked as she shrugged.

"It's a possibility."

"Morgan, Hotch." Gideon called, through the phone. "Go back to the Andrew's house and bring Janet. I want you to interview her. She may be our unsub."

"On it." Morgan responded, before hanging up the call.

"This is all a very beautiful theory and all but... Do you all honestly believe a woman could've done all this damage?" The Sheriff asked as the whole team turned to him. "I mean... It's quite obvious that they are the targets, but killing 3 women in four days? It's a bit... unlikely, no?"

"I don't follow." Gideon shook his head.

"I mean... Here in Toledo the women stay at home. They are protected by their husbands. They don't have the strength or smarts to kill anyone."

"Are you talking women in Toledo or in general?" Spencer frowned.

"In general. I mean... I don't even know how she is here." He said, nodding toward Lily as she frowned. "Does the FBI have a rule to have women working? That should explain why she is the only female in here."

"For your information, I'm not the only female in the team." Lily defended. "We have our amazing Tech Analyst Penelope Garcia and the great Agent Jennifer Jareau. They are both incredibly smart and capable, thank you very much."

"Lily..." Spencer warned, and she scoffed.

"Don't Lily me, Spence." She whispered, as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

The Sheriff opened his mouth to say something else, but Gideon got up from his seat and closed the cell phone in his hand.

"We do have some amazing and capable women in our team, Sheriff." He said. "Not only Garcia, and Agent Jareau, but also, Doctor Lillian Scottley. Who, by the way, discovered your serial killer almost by herself."

"What?" She asked, confused.

"Janet Andrews is our unsub. She admitted it." He answered. "Very good, Scottley. Now, if you excuse us, Sheriff, we have to go. You two, pick everything up. We'll leave in 20 minutes."

"Yes, Sir." Lily nodded as the Sheriff scoffed before leaving the room.

Lily stared at the board in front of her. Spencer snapped her out of her trance, when he poked her side.

"See? Gideon trusts you now." He smiled as she did the same. "Very good, Lily. You're brilliant. And don't let what the Sheriff said get to you. You are our best Agent."

Lily smiled, before shaking her head.

"Right after you, Doctor Reid."
