After Dabi, Kurogiri, and Toga had been escorted out, Mineko sighed in relief. Her posture relaxed and she tilted her head staring down at the female who was bound at her feet. "Now that those morons are gone... let's have a proper reunion."

The blindfold was lifted from Mariko's eyes and she was blinded by the bright, pale florescent lights overhead. She blinked several times before she was able to focus on Mineko Shimizu. The brunette almost wished she hadn't been able to see her; the woman stood in front of her, alive and well. She hadn't aged a bit in the years they'd been out of contact.

"Miss me?" she asked sarcastically.

Mariko said nothing, instead, she sat up and analyzed the room instinctively looking for the exit and anything she could defend herself with when the time came. The walls were stone painted white, disorienting her slightly as it reflected the bright ceiling lights. There wasn't anything that could be used as a weapon if need be. The room was empty aside from a singular black leather loveseat and a metal armchair- both of which were bolted to the floor. Mariko's face paled at the setup. She'd seen enough torture chairs to know what one looked like, but the couch that had been positioned in front of it gave the impression that to Mineko, torture was entertaining, a show meant to be watched and enjoyed. It sickened her to know that one of her dearest friends had fallen so far. The room had only one door- the one from which she had come through with Dabi.

The ravenette scoffed and looked down at her- her expression full of contempt and hatred. "Don't bother looking for an exit. I promise you won't make it out of here alive. I had forgotten how well The Division had trained you. It's admirable that you still have those instincts despite being out of the field for... what was it three-four years now? I guess it's only to be expected as their very best agent," she quipped sarcastically. She let out a short burst of laughter. "That's why seeing you on your knees like that is so fun for me. The Division's best agent- Mariko Saito- not only failed to capture the woman at the top of the government's Most Wanted list, but you got captured by her instead. Isn't it wonderfully ironic? I think so. You really haven't been looking for me at all these past few years. Do you have any idea how much time that gave me to sort everything out and get ahead? I bet you didn't even know I kept tabs on all of you," she said trying to see if that statement would elicit some sort of reaction from the brunette.

It did, it definitely did, but Mariko refused to allow herself to show it. Her anxiety levels spiked as she thought about Araya and all the missions that could've been compromised, the possibility of Hayato and his family being murdered randomly by one of her lackeys, Keigo she wouldn't know what she would do if she knew about him.

"Tell me about the team. Of course, I checked in every once in a while but I've gotten a bit busy lately what with preparations and all. Tell me, how is everyone? I want to know how they're doing?"

Again, there was no response.

Mineko grit her teeth, her hands balling into fists at her side as she began to lose her patience. She wanted to see fear, pain, and anguish on the woman's features; but there was nothing. The brunette's face remained blank as if she was not paying attention or hearing anything she was saying. "How has Araya been? Did you guys ever get back together?" she asked remembering how close she and the ravenette had been.

Bile rose in Mariko's throat. She knew she wasn't actually concerned and saying those words with the face and voice that once belonged to a friend made her feel sick. She said nothing.

"Maybe you're not on good terms? It is so hard to get D1 info as an outsider you know. It's quite annoying... Tell me about Hayato. I know you still keep in touch, don't even try to lie unless you want me to melt you from the inside out," she threatened.

She snapped, her mind blanking for a moment as she thought of Hayato, Kaede, and Ayuri being watched by this psycho. "Why does it matter what they're up to? They're not here. That's all there is to know. I don't know where either of them are, and even if I did I wouldn't tell you shit," she spat venomously.

Mineko leveled a glare so intense it was as though she was trying to set Mariko on fire and send her straight to hell. The brunette, however, didn't falter, not even for a second. She met the woman's eyes, the fire behind her sapphire irises flickering vibrantly in defiance.

She walked over to her and set her hand on the girl's shoulder. Her touch was as light as a feather, but there were loud snapping sounds as multiple bones cracked simultaneously.

Mariko's ears rang as the sound echoed in the otherwise silent room before her arm as engulfed in pain. She bit her tongue to keep herself from screaming out in pain. She couldn't even move. Not only was she still bound, but any sort of movement would jar the broken arm and make it worse.

"This will be extremely satisfying," she said. A sick and sadistic smile crept onto her face as Mineko drew her leg back and kicked her.

There was another crack, her rib broke.

She grew her leg back again.

More cracking; another rib. She brought her leg down on her over and over, kicking and stomping her hoping that physical pain would force her into submission so she could have some real fun.
