Aly's POV
Ugh! I've been having this headache for quite a while now. I guess, since 2 days ago, much probably because of the stress.
It's been two weeks now after our Christmas getaway with our friends and the class has also resumed. Missy and I decided to spend our Christmas' and New Year's Eve with our families together. And now I'm here at my pad with Mosh. Because of their parents' week long out of town business trip, there's no one left to accompany him since Jus has this educational tour in their school for three days and Missy's staying at their dorm. And they can't just let him stay with their maids. So I've decided to look after him while they're gone. And ofcourse with the help of my baby, her ate Den.
Okay, back to my headache, I can't really bare the pain. It feels like something's being drilled deep down in my skull. And it's killing me like, hell!
"Ate Aly, do you want me to call ate Den to help you?" he almost cried, must be really worried about me.
"No need, young man. Ate can handle this and besides, you're ate Den might be busy at this moment."
"But you're hurting. You can't even stand alone." then he walked near me and held my hand
"Just let me sleep for a while then I'll be better, okay?" I told him, he might get bored or something "Uhm, do you want to play or eat anything?"
"Do you have any video games ate? I forgot to bring mine po" he said while scratching his head. Cute!
"Yeah, here!" then I led him to the living room, where I play my Xbox one, I also let him use my PSP Vita."Here, play this muna. Then I'll prepare your snack, okay?" he just nodded and started playing.
I just prepared sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes and milk for him. My head hurts badly kaya di na ko nakapagluto for him. I just gave him what I have in my ref then went back to sleep at the sofa.
"Ugh!" I shouted, the pain woke me. Shit!
And Mosh, wanting to help, dialed his ate Den's number using his phone and rushed off to the cupboard and get me painkillers. When he tried to open the bottle and it just clicked, I explained to him about childproof lids.
"The things inside this bottle are not good for children," I said
"So it has a special top - an adult can come along and open it, but a child can't."
He thought about this for a while and then asked,
"But how does it know it's me?!"
Oh-oh! I didn't see that one coming. How am I able to answer this kind of question? It makes my head ache more!
"Uhm--"
"It doesn't know that it was a child who's trying to open it. It's just that, the lid was specially made to cover the bottle so kids won't play with them." she's here, Missy's here. Good thing she came.
"But why?" he again asked
"Like what I've told you, kids aren't suppose to play what's inside of this bottle."
"Oh, okay. But--"
"No more buts okay? You're making ate Aly's head hurts." Missy cut him off
After that mind blowing question, I took a nap for the medicine to take effect faster. Then a loud noise woke me. Well, my head hurts no more so I've decided to see where it was coming from. It was from Mosh who's playing with his toy, fire truck and was making a real mess, spilling water everywhere.
He then approached his ate for more water,
"Mosh, this is your third request for a refill. I won't let you have any more"
"But how am I suppose to play with my truck?"
"Just let him have it" I butt in
"No! Look at your mess, baby."
"Ate, please?"
"Babe,--"
"I said no, why don't you play with 'pretend' water instead?"
Mosh cried that he wanted real water.
"No!" said his sister firmly. "You can have pretend water or no water at all!" and I was like O.o Huh?!
"Pretend water or no water at all?!" Mosh asked
"I mean, uhm. Ah" she said while scratching her head
"Just play with your truck Mosh. With your pretend water" I said trying to stop myself from laughing and slightly pushed him
"Babe, hahaha. Pretend water or no water at all?! What was that? Hahaha"
"Tumawa ka pa!" then she walked out.
"Babe! Wait!" I saw her at the kitchen preparing our early dinner. "Joke lang po. Ang hirap magexplain sa bata no?"
"Eish!"
"Babe naman eh. Ako na po jan"
"Ako na. Help me prepare the table nalang. Then call Mosh para kumain." she said coldly, ang pikon talaga
"Babe, did you know that as early as 350 BC, Aristotle already stated what happiness is?" tanong ko sa kanya, she just faced me wearing her 'mataray look'.
"It only means, by that early, happiness was invented, I mean, given it's meaning. How come you don't know it? Wala ba nun sa lugar niyo?"
"Funny. Put the plates on the table, kakain na tayo" then went back to cooking.
"Babe naman, binibiro lang kita. Smile na po, mahal ko." bulong ko sakanya habang naka backhug.
"Lakas makalambing. Hmm, sige na. Gutom na po ako" she faced me with a smile on her face and gave me a peck on the lips. "Mahal din kita. Why me, babe?" it made a huge curve on my lips
"Because you are the brightest little firefly in my jar."
"Ate Den--, oh I'm sorry! I'll be back later." sigaw ni Mosh and ran back to the sala
Natawa naman kami parehas sa reaction niya. Nakita niya kasi kaming magkayakap ni Missy and we're about to kiss again. Hahaha
"Mosh, come back here. Let's eat!" tawag sa kanya ni Missy.
Mosh: Please tell me you're done with what you two were doing. *sabi niya while covering his eyes
Ako: Babe, naculture shock ata si Mosh sa nakita niya. Haha
Den: Haha. Stop it Mosh. Let's eat na.
Mosh: You didn't answer me.
Ako: But you're not even asking.
Mosh: I did.
Den: We're not doing anything Mosh. You can remove your hands away from your eyes now.
Mosh: Why are you that sweet to each other? I even saw you two kiss before.
Nagulat naman kami sa sinabi niya. Kelan?! Naku!
Ako: What?! When?!
Mosh: Last Christmas and even New Year's eve, at the garden. You stole a kiss from my ate Den, ate Aly! Haha
Kinurot naman ako ni Missy sa hita. Then whispered,
"Ikaw kasi e!"
"Bakit ako?!"
"Di ka kasi muna tumitingin sa paligid bago ka magnakaw ng halik"
"As if ayaw mo. Haha"
Mosh: Stop whispering, I can still hear you. But not to worry, I don't understand any of 'em. Haha
Ako: Uhm, Mosh?
Mosh: Yes ate?
Den: What are you doing back there?
Mosh: Oh that! Mom told me to look for you, then I saw you. But ate Den, why are you doing that? I mean, what you did was what couples usually do right? I saw Mom and Dad do it. And even Yaya and our Driver.
Nanlaki naman yung mata ni Missy. Hahaha! Sila Yaya?! Hahahaha
Den: Uhm Mosh,--
Ako: Because we are. You're too young to know things like this. Well, someday you'll know why.
Mosh: You're a couple?! But you're both girls, right?
Den: Mosh, you're not allowed to ask things like this.
Ako: We'll explain it to you when you grow up. But for now, finish your food and we'll clean up your mess at the sala. Okay?
Mosh: Okay.
After our dinner, nilinis na namin yung sala. Tapos naghalf bath na si Mosh before going to bed. Maaga pala siyang pinapatulog, 8pm palang pero tulog na agad siya. He'll sleep daw sa tabi ko since hindi pinayagan si Missy to stay here overnight. May morning jog kasi sila.
Hay! Kids' curiosity will definitely kill someone else's brain cells. Hahaha
