The lunch hall was bustling with students of all years. It was filled to the brim with students either sitting at tables or in the queue to get food. (Y/N) entered expecting to be overwhelmed by the sound, but it was oddly comforting. Even despite the formality of the school, the lunch hall was exactly the same as her middle school. It seemed to be the only noise she was familiar with in this new school and she finally felt like she knew what she was doing in this environment rather than in the shining halls and fancy training arenas.

However, the comforting feeling quickly vanished. She stood like a deer in headlights in the middle of the hall, looking at the tables with a meek look, wondering where to sit. She had yet to make any connection with her classmates. Being late seemed to have no pros. Everyone had found their individual cliques, and (Y/N) had been left out. She gulped nervously and turned towards the exit. The roof should be empty.

"Hey, Yamasaki!" A cheery voice called out, and all of a sudden there was a hand at her waist, snuggling into her side and dragging her back into the lunch hall. "Where do you think you're going, Missy?" Mina teased as she pushed the nervous girl towards the table of girls who were all chatting happily.

"Oh! That's fine, I don't want to intrude-" (Y/N) awkwardly shook her head, attempting to turn back around.

"Don't be silly, c'mon! You have to make some friends at some point." Mina teased. She made a good argument.

(Y/N) sighed a nervous breath. Her heart began to beat in her chest. She was in no mood to embarrass herself but felt as though she would. She was so used to being dependent on Noah, that she'd forgotten how to interact with new people. She nevertheless allowed Mina to escort her towards the girl's table, all of whom noticed her approaching presence.

"Yamasaki! It's lovely to finally meet you! Mina was so right, you are stunning!" The short brunette gushed as she gestured for the (H/C) to sit down.

(Y/N) felt her face blush as she turned towards the eating girl, "I've heard that twice today, what have you been saying about me?" She asked, her voice losing its shakiness as she felt more and more relaxed by the second.

"Nothing bad! Just that you're a badass." She giggled. "You saved my life, it's hard not to praise you." She mused as she popped a green grape into her mouth with a cheeky smile.

"You wouldn't have died, Mina. It was a UA Entrance Exam." The girl with black hair pointed out with a chuckle. Instantly (Y/N) knew she was the motherly type. "You would have got to safety in any case."

"Thank you." (Y/N) smiled. Finally, someone agreed with her.

"However, that was definitely something a hero would do and I imagine that is how you got into 1A. Well done." (Y/N)'s smile dropped but her blush remained. All the compliments were not something she was used to.

"Not like you'd know, Yaoyomomo, you got in by recommendation anyway," Mina grumbled, nibbling on her sandwich with a scowl.

"Wow, really?" (Y/N) beamed, excitement evident in her gleaming eyes, her giddy state putting a smile on everyone's faces. "That's so cool... Who recommended you?"

"Her rich parents." The girl with purple-indigo hair said with a cheeky grin. 'Yaoyomomo' blushed in embarrassment and smacked the girl who sat next to her with a scowl.

"Well, I guess you could say that." She murmured as she sipped on the carton of juice she had gotten, her gaze looking anywhere but the girls who stared at her with teasing looks.

"Oh, that's fine." (Y/N) responded with a casual shrug, seeing no harm in such an act. Yaoyomomo was nice enough. "Is there anyone else who got recommended?" (Y/N) asked curiously.

"In our class, as far as I know, only me and Todoroki." The black-haired girl answered which was followed by affirmative nods from the other girls.

"Todoroki? That doesn't sound very familiar." (Y/N) spoke aloud as she grabbed her drink from earlier and took a gulp.

"He's Endeavour's son! How cool is that?!" The brunette replied. "His real name is Enji Todoroki." She added for clarification

"Oh, him!" (Y/N) hummed with a nod. "Hm, interesting. I've never really liked Endeavour. He's a good hero and all, and his quirk is amazing, but to me, it seems he just does it for the fame, you know? But that's just my opinion. For all I know he could be the nicest guy on the planet." She shrugged.

"Huh, never really noticed. I'll have to check that out next time I see him in the news or something." The green-haired girl, her voice rather croaky but oddly characteristic.

"I'm sorry, I never actually got your names." (Y/N) finally uttered with an awkward chuckle, wanting to ask since the beginning but being caught up in the conversation.

"Of course!" Mina cheered, leaping up from her chair and clearing her throat. "This is-"

"Momo Yaoyorozu, but the girls call me Yaoyomomo, for whatever reason, so call me that if you'd like." She introduced, offering her hand to (Y/N) who shook it with a smile.

"Hey! Don't interrupt me." The pink girl pouted. "Okay so that's-"

"Kyoka Jirou, nice to meet you." She smiled, nodding at (Y/N) seeing as her hands were full.

"Stop doing that-"

"I'm Ochaco Uraraka," The brunette who sat in front of the new girl said sweetly, to which (Y/N) smiled back.

"You guys are so mean to me-"

"I'm Toru Hagakure." The invisible girl interrupted, whether she bowed or not was unknown, so (Y/N) bowed her head just in case to respect the girl.

"Well now I'm not going to-"

"And I'm Tsuyu Asui, call me Tsu though, everyone does." She grinned.

"It's lovely to meet you all." (Y/N) giggled.

"I hate you all."

"Oh look at her, she's so beautiful..." Kaminari mumbled, his eyes never leaving the new (H/C) who now happily chatted with the 1A girls.

"Stop staring, you look creepy," Sero scolded as he munched on a chocolate bar that he'd gotten from Lunch Rush.

"I can't take my eyes away, they're glued to her. She's just so gorgeous, if I look away I'm afraid it might burn out my eyes." He murmured, his voice entranced and captivated by (Y/N)'s physique.

"That is biologically incorrect." Kirishima rolled his eyes with a chuckle, exchanging "what the fuck" looks with Sero as they worried for their newfound friend.

"Stop making a fuss, dipshit. It's just a pretty girl." The ash-blonde growled, already annoyed by Kaminari's antics.

"Oh, so you agree she's pretty." The redhead teased, elbowing Bakugou in the side which only infuriated the hedgehog more.

"More like angelic." Denki slurred, his eyes drooping weirdly as he continued to creepily stare at the girl. "And beautiful. And gorgeous. And stunning. And beautiful. And stunning. And gorgeous. And angelic..." He went on and on.

"He's running out of adjectives." Sero jested. While Kaminari started at (Y/N), Sero stared at Kaminari with a face painted with puzzlement.

"Seems like it." Kirishima nodded simply.

"Before the summer when you received your acceptance papers into the school, you all submitted a hero costume. Today shall be your first training experience and you must wear your costumes. Put them on and All Might will meet you outside the changing rooms downstairs." Aizawa announced, earning excited cheers from his students.

(Y/N), along with the rest of 1A, all followed the number one pro hero; All Might, across the school to somewhere unknown. (Y/N) was encased in a conversation with Tsu and Uraraka, unbeknownst to the pair of golden eyes that followed her every move from behind her. She laughed, her cute snort contagious to the girls around her who chuckled as well. The new girl was very interesting to them, not that any of them would dare say that in the open.

They were led to a training arena, the first one that (Y/N) had seen. It seemed as though it was the first time for everyone to see such a training area, which put her at ease. It was the first proper training Class 1A was getting and (Y/N) was happy that she wasn't going to miss it.

(Y/N) did feel a bit weird in her costume, however. Everyone around her - especially the girls - had very skin-tight suits that highlighted their fit bodies, everyone having a very defined figure. (Y/N)'s costume was nothing out of the ordinary; all she needed was something she could move around in and she could not think of anything that could enhance her abilities. It consisted of very free tracksuit bottoms, coloured in a dark grey, allowing her to move around freely with no resistance. This was paired with a loose black tank top with a supporting matching sports bra underneath, very lowkey - exactly how she wanted. She chose the colours specifically because she always believed the element of surprise was always one of the most powerful strategies to use in a fight and blending in with the crowd would be the easiest way to do so.

All Might explained the basic assignment and then followed onto the teams. "...Jirou and Sato as the heroes, and Sero and Todoroki as the villains. Uraraka and Midoriya as the heroes, and Bakugou and Kirishima as the villains. Mineta and Yamasaki as the heroes, and Ashido and Tokoyami as the villains."

"Oh, Yamasaki! I don't want to part from you!" Mina wailed dramatically, hugging (Y/N)'s waist tightly and squishing herself into the (H/C)'s side. "I'm so sorry..." She mumbled with a frown, her eyes constantly flicking from (Y/N)'s eyes to somewhere else that the girl did not know of.

"For what?" (Y/N) replied with a perplexed look.

"For Mineta..." She grumbled, her voice seeming genuinely sorry.

"Huh-" (Y/N) wasn't catching on.

"Good luck, Yamasaki!" Yaoyorozu cheered, eyeing the small boy nervously.

"Thanks..." (Y/N) responded nervously as she turned towards her teammate, who was currently staring at her and drooling. She gulped nervously, "Uh-um, hello, I'm (Y/N) Yamasaki." She introduced herself and offered her hand.

"I know who you are..." The boy muttered as if not in the same reality as she, lazily grasping her hand, his purple - almost black - eyes staring at her chest profusely.

(Y/N) smiled awkwardly before turning towards the screen that displayed the current battle between Asui, Koda, Shoji, and Hagakure. She decided against trying to make a game plan and just proceeded to cover her chest. She had no interest in further conversation with the boy. She wasn't naive or stupid and she knew what that little boy was up to, but was unfortunately too shy and awkward to actually say anything about it so reverted to just trying to hide away from him.

Soon enough, the battle was over with Shoji and Hagakure winning as the heroes. (Y/N) congratulated them both with a smile, feeling the invisible girl hug her which she didn't mind, however could only think that she was currently hugging Hagakure naked which wasn't something she allowed her mind to dwell on too heavily.

"Midoriya, Uraraka, Bakugou, and Kirishima, you're next. Just through that door and head to your starting stations." All Might explained to them smoothly, and it was hard to not see Midoriya's nervousness as he walked alongside the three other students.

(Y/N) proceeded to watch the battle on the big screens again just like the others. It was very standard as the four students did their assigned roles quite well, Uraraka and Midoriya having split up to cover more ground. But it seemed as though Bakugou had gone rogue, wandering off with Kirishima guarding the large diamond alone. (Y/N) couldn't help but narrow her eyes at the sight, suspicion building up inside her as she stepped closer to the screen. She subconsciously chewed on the inside of her cheek as she observed her classmates.

Panic quickly replaced suspicion as she saw Bakugou finally return back on one of the screens. The look on his face obviously foretold nothing positive. She ground her teeth together tensely. Her eyes widened drastically as she watched the blonde pounce upon Midoriya after having a muffled conversation that those in the screening room could not see. A fight was ensuing, and the strength of both of their quirks would ensure that the fight would be brutal. (Y/N) couldn't suppress the chill that ran down her spine as concern soared through her veins. She was scared for the two boys, although she couldn't quite understand why.

The class erupted into shouts of worry. They pleaded and begged All Might to stop the students in their vicious battle, a battle which was certainly not necessary for the task at hand. (Y/N) found herself unable to join them. When she looked upon the number one hero, her voice was caught in her throat. The look in his eyes expressed expectancy - he was waiting for something to happen. (Y/N) felt a cold feeling run across her skin. She couldn't pinpoint the source. She could not watch the screen anymore as she stared at the pro-hero. She saw how his blonde eyebrows furrowed in conflict. She knew that look. It was the same look the police officer bore when they saved her all those years ago; a conflict of motives. Should he stay or should he go? That's what he was thinking, she could tell. He was starting to panic with the students screaming around him. She could see the anxiety building within him despite being the most powerful person in Japan.

(Y/N) understood her classmates' worries. While she had not witnessed it herself, she had gauged from her classmates that Bakugou's quirk was a strong one and Midoriya was not up to par. It was obvious why they'd be concerned for the little green bean. Still, (Y/N) didn't want to beg with her classmates, although she didn't directly know why. All she could do was trust her instincts.

She looked back at the screen once more, only for a second, before turning away from the group and to the back of the room. She pressed her back against the wall and pursed her lips, trying to control her breathing as she closed her eyes, wanting the noise to stop so she could properly think how to help the situation. Unfortunately, her wish was not granted as the noise only seemed to get louder as the fight increased in brutality. Every beat of noise sent a ripple of suffocation into her brain, making the oxygen she breathed in hot and humid, making her limbs tremble with stress, making her eyes tingle with the utmost panic. She wanted the noise to stop. But it simply wouldn't.

Finally, All Might gave in as he watched Midoriya be beaten, not only by Bakugou but by his own quirk as well. The mere sight of his broken bones made (Y/N) want to put a stop to it. All Might readied himself to intervene, but he was beaten by the alarm, signifying the end of the trial. The bottom right corner projected a video of Uraraka leaping onto the diamond with a distressed look on her face.

(Y/N) couldn't help the smile that grew on her face in relief as she brought her hand to her chest, breathing out a bundle of exhales. She stepped forward from the wall, everyone backing away from All Might who still seemed to have that uncertain look on his face; it only fueled (Y/N)'s curiosity further. She pursed her lips and decided to question it later, already knowing she wouldn't be able to let it go.

"Let's just carry on, please. Recovery Girl will patch up the injured boys." All Might announced, his charming smile swooning the class. "Next is Mineta, Yamasaki, Ashido and Tokoyami." He gestured for the said students to go through the same door everyone had entered through.

(Y/N) took a deep breath as annoyance itched at her, all because of the midget walking alongside her, ogling at her as if she were a mannequin. "Okay, look man, I don't know what you think you're looking at but if you actually want to be a hero, why don't you try and fight, yeah? For the both of us?" She instructed with a grimace, refusing to make eye contact with the boy.

Mineta did not answer but firmly nodded at the taller girl. He agreed with her words. He just wanted to achieve his dreams while simultaneously looking at boobs. He copied (Y/N)'s subtle stretches and followed her to where they were supposed to start.

"Okay, game plan?" Mineta shook his head. "Alrighty then..." (Y/N) sighed with a slight twitch of her eyes. "Okay, just an idea: your quirk is the sticky balls thing, right? If you can, could you locate Mina? You can trap her easily as long as you get to her first. Tokoyami will be harder because of Dark Shadow. But I think I can trap him and Dark Shadow in the concrete as long as I have enough energy. Call me when you've got her. Is that okay with you?"

"Yep," Mineta confirmed as he jumped on the spot, carefully prying his eyes away from (Y/N)'s gorgeous figure and looking into her eyes for possibly the first time all day.

As the alarm went, both of the heroes set to (Y/N)'s plan, splitting up immediately. Mineta headed up the stairs on the right and (Y/N) headed towards the left but had not ventured up just yet. She bit her lip as she waited for the purple boy's signal, but unfortunately, she got something else.

"Yamasaki! I can't do it! She is just too scary with all that acid! I could get burnt!" Mineta whined into the walkie.

(Y/N)'s eyes widened with frustration. Her plan had been thrown out of the window in the first five minutes. Intuition and improvisation were now her teammates; Mineta was out.

"You've got to be kidding me." (Y/N) groaned before racing up the stairs, bearing in mind the time limit she had. It was the Entrance Exam again.

It's worth noting that (Y/N)'s quirk was not as developed as many of her classmates. While many of them had been training their quirks in preparation for the Entrance Exam, (Y/N) had not. The control of her quirk varied. It struggled under stress, and now, her stress levels were high.

As she moved up the stairs, her heart beating rapidly and her lungs aching with panic, the concrete began to melt beneath her feet. "What?! No no no no!" She panicked, thus making the process even faster. "Stop!" She started to fall into a fit of hysteria as she felt everyone's eyes staring at her, judging her through the camera. Stress was clouding her mind like a fog. But she refused to let it dampen her rare opportunities. "C'mon, (Y/N)! Don't be a baby!" She groaned to herself. She clutched onto the bannister for balance. She squeezed her eyes shut and took a breath. She solidified the stairs, making a weird disfigured ramp instead of equal steps. "You are a motherfucking hero, got that?" She snapped at herself, ignoring the sloppy concrete on her costume and arms.

She narrowed her eyes and set her mind on her goal. She breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth. She sprinted up the bumpy ramp, already hearing the conversation between Mina and Tokoyami. She hastily stopped her sprinting and quietly approached the top of the stairwell where an open door led into the room with the large diamond. She smirked before grabbing the bannister of the stairs next to her, melting two sides of it so she could pull it off of the rest of the bar and use it as a diversion. She allowed it to boil in her hands before blowing the now gaseous railing into the room and to the other side of it. She counted to ten, hoping that the gas had travelled away from her far enough.

And she retracted her action, watching as the now liquid-form green bannister rained from the ceiling on the left side of the room, having already diffused quite a bit across the room. It splashed into a noisy puddle on the ground. She smiled as she watched Mina and Tokoyami both walk towards the green aqueous liquid swim on the tiled ground. They observed it curiously.

(Y/N) then melted the ground beneath their feet, watching them struggle as if trapped in quicksand. She hoorayed to herself in pride before emerging from the stairwell and leaping towards the diamond. Her fingertips were mere millimetres away from the smooth diamond surface before she was forcibly knocked backward by Dark Shadow who had smacked her away from her goal.

(Y/N) knew very little about her classmates' quirks, meaning fighting an entity like Dark Shadow was something she didn't quite know what to do. She'd have to fight it as if it were a person rather than the embodiment of Tokoyami's quirk. For a split second, she froze. She analysed her surroundings before looking straight up at the lights above them. She narrowed her eyes, swinging her arms up. With a burst of energy and concentration, the light bulb exploded in a flurry of yellow sparks after she had created a chemical reaction with the heat and oxygen using her quirk. The light would only be bright for a split second, meaning Dark Shadow would be weakened and distracted for only a split second before he gained even more strength due to the added darkness in the room. (Y/N) needed to act quickly. As she burst the light bulb, the diamond behind her was slowly melting and melting, bright blue liquid slithering towards (Y/N) as she dealt with Dark Shadow simultaneously - having gained control of her panicked state she could now use her quirk efficiently.

She waited for the liquid to meet her feet before freezing it to its original state. She stomped onto the diamond. It shattered beneath her shoe. She grasped a sharp and flashed it to the camera. "Does this count?"

"Well done, Yamasaki! Mineta and Yamasaki win as the heroes! Please join us back here!" All Might announced through randomly positioned speakers.

(Y/N) cheerfully let the two villains go and shook Tokoyami's hand, accepting his praise awkwardly but with a kind smile. She then accepted the leap of joy given by Mina who embraced her tightly.

"Well done, Yamasaki! I'm so proud!"

The bell had already gone but (Y/N) was still in the school, now heading towards the staff room. She heard All Might's voice but no one else's as he responded to air, thus (Y/N) calculating that he was on the phone. She shrugged before pressing her hand on the door and opening it a crack.

"Um... Mr. All Might- OH MY GOD AGH!" She screamed as she forcefully pushed the door open, now seeing a scrawny blonde man staring at her in shock.

"Oh hello, Yamasaki..."

"HOLY SH-!"
