i don't know what time it was when i woke up. for a moment i thought i was home in my bed. that was until i actually opened my eyes into an unfamiliar room. it didn't take long for me to remember that i'm not at home and that i flew all the way to washington.
it was then i realized the fact i was snuggled next to vinnie who had his arm wrapped around me. he was practically hugging me in his sleep. i looked at him, the best i could because of the position i'm in, and found myself staring.
i think i could lay like this forever. i know it sounds cliche but i'm actually just really comfortable.
i reach for my phone as best as i could without waking up vinnie. it was extremely hard. i tried to move away by an inch and i could feel his hold get tighter as if trying to keep me close as possible. i finally grab my phone and move back to where u was.
i found this as my best chance in the moment to post him. i first go to snapchat and just take a picture. i smiled at the camera while i showed vinnie as best as i could. i put a heart sticker next to it and caption it 'sleepy boy'.
i then open tiktok which i find myself doing ninety percent of the time during the day and record a tiktok. i save the tiktok as a draft for right now just figuring i might end up posting it later, or not.
i finally took the time since i grabbed my phone to look at the time seeing that it was almost five. maybe i should wake him up. i have no clue when he would actually wake up but i feel like he didn't actually get much sleep since we hung up in the morning.
"vinnie." i said. my voice broke while saying his name seeing that i haven't talked at all since i got up. it surprised me hearing it but i moved on and said his name again.
he moved his head in my neck and hummed in response. i wasn't sure if he was actually up or not.
"vinnie." i said again. this time i moved hoping he'd get up or notice something.
"can i skip today?" i barely heard his mumble. i was confused at first, but figured he thought i was his mom.
"what?" i ended up saying anyways.
vinnie finally opened his eyes and looked at me confused. then he opened his mouth only to close it again.
"i'm leaving." i said. i noticed too late that that sounded wrong. what i really meant was that i was going to leave the room.
"what?" vinnie sat up. his voice was raspy and he looked at me sad.
"i meant the room. i have to use the bathroom. where is it?" i could see him relax visibly and he got up and stretched.
"oh, you scared me." he said grabbing my hand in his and walking me out the room. "uh it's over there." he points to a door.
"thanks." i said quietly before letting go of his hand.
i walked to the bathroom and turned on the light after struggling to find it because i'm that slow sometimes. i use the bathroom and flush the toilet. after washing my hands, i look at myself in the mirror and start to fix up my appearance. which was really just my hair that got all messed up from sleeping.
i heard a knock on the door and i shook my head and laughed lightly.
"i have a question." his voice was muffled through the door.
"yeah." i answered. i kept the door locked not opening it. i thought this was funny.
"uh is there anything specific you want for dinner?" he asked hesitantly.
i laughed again. this was actually funny. he couldn't have waited a minute for me to leave the bathroom? i unlock the door and open it only to be ran into by vinnie.
"sorry." he said as he grabbed me to stop me from falling.
"anything is fine." i shrug. i wasn't very picky with my food. i also couldn't really think of things i didn't like to eat to stay clear from. i was thankful that i don't have any food allergies. nothing was stopping me from eating anything, but my tastebuds.
"alright. uh, my mom left to the store not that long ago. i think she actually went to the store this time." he joked. "what do you want to do?"
"it doesn't matter to me. we could do nothing and i'd be happy." i smile at him.
"oh okay we can do nothing." he nods his head.
"you're so weird. don't be nervous." i said to him. i then wrap my arms around him in a hug.
i'm just hoping that's enough to get him to relax and it did. i could feel him relax after being tense up and he wraps his arms around me a few moments later.
"we can watch a movie?" i ask. my voice was muffled a bit from still being in a hug. i heard him hum in agreement.
we go back to his room a few moments later and i sit on his bed as he finds something to watch. We ended up watching Unfriended: Dark Web. Vinnie lays back on the bed and takes me down with him. I lay my head on his chest.
We were halfway through the movie before vinnies door busts open revealing reggie at the door talking.
he didn't notice me at first as he was talking about whatever it is he did at his friends house.
"wait a minute." reggie looks at me and then back to vinnie. "holy shit! marley is here!"
"when did you get here?" he asked me.
"earlier." i answered.
"oh, legit?" reggie looked shocked and confused. it was actually funny.
i've talked to reggie a few times after the first time we talked. we also got close. i seem to be close to everyone, but their dad. i haven't talked to their dad but maybe once or twice when we were planning me to get here. from what i've gotten with talking to him was that he was pretty chill. i knew i was going to like him even though we haven't had a real conversation.
"legit." i nod. vinnie lays his head in the crook of my neck and i shiver when he felt his breath from him laughing. i hadn't realized i moved from his chest.
"alright i'm leaving." reggie has a look of disgust in his face and that's when i start laughing with vinnie.
i don't know how long it was until we got distracted again. reggie, i was guessing before, is in his room. vinnie told me he probably left again. he said that his brother usually comes home after being out with a friend to grab something and then leave again. that was then proven when the front door was heard being shut.
this time though, i don't know what happened for these events to occur. vinnie lifts my head to look at him with his index finger on my chin. the only light visible was from the tv and that was brighter than i thought it was. i lifted up a bit and he lowered his head for our lips to touch.
I don't know how long we were in this position before I moved. I ended up sitting on his lap, straddling him. His hands moved to my waist before reach lower.

"unfriended: dark web. oh that reminds me, reggie came by, but i guess he left again." i shrugged.
