From The Past
Previously On WillBrennan7’s The Walking Dead…
“Anthony Freed” a teenage Anthony says to Rebecca who says “Rebecca Anderson.” “Find Sam and Julia” says Rebecca before she shoots herself in the head. “We’re all infected” Rick says, and Anthony looks afraid. Anthony kisses Gwen and says “I love you too.” “Melville” says Jason as they walk into Melville. “We’re low on meds” he says, and William says “We can help.” “There’s a hotel nearby” Jason says as William opens the door. Someone shoots the walkers back and a man says “Raise your hands.” “Oh my god” Anthony says before saying “Adam Anderson. He’s my brother-in-law.”
A teenage girl walked down the hallway in a pink dress. She had her phone out and was texting someone, when, suddenly, a teenage boy emerged from a bathroom. “Hey Rebecca” he said. “I saw you talking to that guy. Who is he?” “Anthony Freed’ said Rebecca. “And also Adam, you don’t have to know everything about my life.”
“Well, you seemed into him” said Adam. “And, it is my job as your older brother to protect you. This guy could be a player.” “You don’t have to Adam” said Rebecca. “I can pick the guys I date. I’m not even into him. We’re just friends.” “Okay sis” said Adam. “Whatever you say.” Rebecca smiled, and they both walked off.
Years later, Adam saw Kieran exit the best man’s room. “How’s he doing?” Adam asked. “He’s nervous” said Kieran. “But, I’m sure he’ll do fine.” Adam smiled, before walking towards the door and entering. Anthony turned and faced him, and he smiled.
“How’s she doing?” Anthony asked. “She’s just as nervous as you” said Adam. “But, if you two truly love each other, then you’ll both be fine. The wedding doesn’t matter. It’s what comes after matters most. Understand?” Anthony nodded.
“I’ll see you out there” said Adam, clapping Anthony on the back and walking off. “Adam” said Anthony. He faced him, and Anthony asked “Do you really think we’ll be fine?” “The worst thing that can happen is divorce” said Adam. “But, I know, that no matter what, you two wont ever get divorced.” Anthony smiled and said “You’re a good guy. I’m glad I’ll have you as my brother-in-law.” Adam smiled, before opening the door, and shutting it, and Anthony said “Thanks.”
(Cue Walking Dead Intro Music)
Anthony stared at Adam, as the walkers outside growled. “Your brother-in-law?” William asked. “You never told us that Rebecca had a brother.” “I’d think that’d happen” said Adam. “Especially after all of this stuff.” “It’s great to see you” Anthony said, giving Adam a quick hug. “Come on” said Adam. “Marie and Nick are here.”
Adam led the group up a flight of stairs and to the first room. Adam opened it, and a woman stood there with a bat and a boy held a gun. “Uncle Anthony” the boy said, and he hugged Anthony immediately. “Oh my god” the woman said, putting the bat on the bed and hugging Anthony, too. “It’s great to see you Marie” said Anthony. “And you too Nick.” Nick smiled immediately.
“We haven’t been introduced” Adam said, to the others. “I’m Adam, my wife Marie, and my son Nick.” “Sorry” said Anthony. “This is William, Terry, Tyler, Hannah, Jason, Ben, Caleb and Toby.” “Nice to meet you” said Marie, with a smile.
“We have a community a few blocks away” said Jason. “It’s a great home for all people, and I swear, you would have a great life there.” “You guys live there?” asked Adam. “Yeah” said Anthony. “Then, we’ll come too.” “Well” said Toby. “There’s a problem.” “We have no way of escape” said Tyler. “We can’t get out of here.” “We’ll find a way” said Anthony. “Get your things because we’re leaving now.”
The new group walked down the steps before running to the back exit. They ran out, and walkers started heading towards them. Adam shot one with his shotgun as Anthony shot one with his pistol. William kicked one to the ground and stabbed it as Hannah cut one’s head off and Tyler beat one with the butt of his gun.
They ran down the road as fast as they could and saw more walkers. Anthony shot one as Adam said “There’s a van. William, help me with it.” William and Adam hotwired the car as the others shot oncoming walkers. Nick shot at one and missed twice, but got it in the right eye on the third try. “Nice job” Anthony said, shooting a walker as the car started. “GET IN” William shouted, kicked a walker to the ground and then stomping on its head. They then jumped into the car and Adam drove off.
They pulled up to the Melville doors and flagged the guards down, and the wall opened and they drove into Melville. “Welcome to Melville” said Anthony, as they jumped out. “Dad” Sam said, running up. He then saw Adam, Marie, ands Nick, and stopped. “Hey Sam” Adam said, with a bright smile. Sam smiled before running forward and hugging Adam, and then hugging Marie. Gwen walked forward and asked “Who is that?” “Rebecca’s brother and Sam’s godfather” said Anthony. “Does he know about Rebecca?” Gwen asked. Anthony’s smile dropped, as Adam walked over.
“Is this another member of your group?” Adam asked. “Yeah” said Anthony. “This is Gwen, my best friend for years. Adam, can I talk to you?” “Where’s Rebecca?” Adam asked. Anthony stared at Adam and said “Adam, listen. Rebecca, she didn’t make it.” There was silence for a few moments. Adam stared at Anthony, and Anthony saw the tears swimming in Adam’s eyes. “I’m so sorry” Anthony said. Adam stared at Anthony and said “My sisters dead.” Anthony nodded, and he too at tears in his eyes. Adam walked back and hugged Marie, who had tears falling down her cheeks. Gwen approached Anthony and hugged his arm, and he kissed her forehead.
Adam saw this, and looked confused. “Wait” he said. “Are you two together?” Anthony stared at Adam’s reddening face and nodded. “When did she die?” Adam asked. “Tell me.” “Three months in” Anthony said. “I met Gwen after that.” “AND YOU GET OVER MY SISTER PRETTY QUICKLY, DON’T YOU?” Adam shouted. “I MEAN DID YOU EVEN LOVE HER?” Adam’s face was completely red as Anthony said “Your sister was the love of my life, but she’s gone, and I was heartbroken, and Gwen helped me get back, and I fell in love with her. I loved your sister, but she’d want me to move on, and you know that.” Adam looked furious for a moment, but his anger seemed to disappear. “I understand” he said. “Rebecca would want that.”
Anthony nodded as Adam broke down crying. “I can’t believe she’s gone” he said. “I am so sorry Adam” said Anthony. “I truly am.” Adam fell to the ground and placed his face into his hands as his wife pated his back. Gwen and Anthony stared at him, and Anthony felt helpless.
Suddenly, there was a scream, and Anthony turned and saw a walker lunge at Luke Melville, who fell down to the ground. He screamed, as Gwen ran up and stabbed the walker in the head. Luke crawled away and went to his father Don. “What was that thing?” Luke asked, and everyone stared at him. “Wait, what?” William asked, looking at Jason, who dropped his head. “Did he just say that he didn’t know what that was?” Gwen asked. “He doesn’t know” Don said. “What do you mean he doesn’t know?” Don looked down, as Jason said “Come with me. You too, Don and Luke.”
Gwen, Anthony, William, Luke, and Don followed Luke to a fruit store. “Luke” said Don. “There’s an infection going around, and if you get bitten, then you turn into a monster.” “Wait” Anthony said “Do you guys know about the other part of the infection?” Anthony asked. “What do you mean?” Jason asked. “We’re all infected” Anthony said. “What?” Luke asked. “I’m sorry” Anthony said. “But, no matter how you die, you turn.”
“We’ve seen it happen” said William. “With our old friend Peter. He died and turned.” “Oh my god” said Jason. “Why is all of this happening now?” “I’m sorry” Anthony said. “We have to get those meds” said Jason. “Well” said Anthony. “We go back out there. If we really need the meds, than we go back and get what we need. We’ll even bring more people out.” “I’ll come” said Don. “No Dad” said Luke. “Please.” “I’m sorry son” said Don, and Luke ran off. “I’ll come” said William. “I’ll stay back and watch Luke” said Gwen. “Thank you” Anthony said, giving her a kiss.
Soon, Anthony, William, Don, Jason, David, Hannah, Kate, Tyler and Ian were getting ready to head out when Adam approached. “I’m coming” he said. “I want to hear about all that you’ve been up to since this started.” “I’d be happy to tell” said Anthony. Sam approached and said ‘I want to come too.” “No” said Anthony. “When we were at the museum, you always let me go on runs with you” Sam said. “Let me come, because I can be useful.” Anthony was conflicted for a moment before saying “Fine.” The group then started walking out down the road, as Luke Melville watched
Gwen approached and asked “Are you alright?” “Fine” he said. “I can help you know about this stuff” said Gwen. “I can tell you about the infection and the walkers.” “I’ll be fine” Luke said. “I don’t need to know about it now. Maybe another time.” “Okay” Gwen said, as Luke walked off, and Gwen watched him.
The group walked down the road and passed a large alleyway. A walker approached from behind a garbage can, but Hannah chopped its head off. They then continued, as a shadow emerged from the alleyway. “Do we make a move?” asked a voice. “No” said a gruff voice. “When they’re in real danger we attack. Melville won’t stand a chance.” He then chuckled, and a wide smile appeared on the man’s face, showing off pearly white teeth, and one gold tooth.

Anthony and the group walk down a road as Jason says “The pharmacy should be coming up soon.” They then stand in a pharmacy as Tyler says “I feel like we’re being watched. “Don’t be silly” Kate said. “The only people we’re watched by is us and the walkers.” Luke looks around a room and then opens a bag, and sees a pistol. Anthony raises his gun and says “We’ve got to hurry.” Tyler stabs a walker in the head, Luke aims at one, as the group that went out for supplies kneel down in a forest, excepting fate.
