STORYTIME!
Deceit woke up with the right side of the bed gone. Where was Patton? Normally Pattoon was still asleep when Deceit woke up. Of course, he could try to be sneaky and make some plans. Today is their anniversary after all. But Deceit already had the best plans made. He can't Patton's take over his because this wa special. Five year special of marriage? Super special. He gotnput of bed and looked around for something decent to wear. He settled for a long sleeved yet shoulderless sqeater of a shirt with a picture of two snakes forming a heart on it and some classic jeans. Patton was always bugging him to wear cuter and brighter colors. Yellow and bright green was porbably the best he was going to get.
Deceit walked out of the bedroom and instantly smelled chocolate. Patton was making his special chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes he only makes for birthdays and holidays, wasn't he? Of course. That's his thing. Maybe Deceit can startle him. Deceit slithered into the kitchen and noticed Patton was in his own little world again, smiling and singing that one Annie song under his breath that he loves so much. Deceit walked up right behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his head against his shoulder. Patton jumped a bit, but he didn't make a sound. He turned and saw Deceit smirking at him.
"Sabah Jamil, Jru~" //Sah-Bah|Ha-Ji-Me-Lon|Gyo\\
Patton giggled knowing a few words from Deceit's favorite forieng language. He turned around in his arms after setting down the gooey spatula on the counter. Deceit grinned as Patton wasted his forehead againsr his, giving him the consent to kiss him. They've discussed actions of consent so they don't make things awkward, pressing forhesds together was their sign of consent for a kiss as well as a squeeze of the hand and making a heart out of your fingers. Deceit took the memoir and leaned forward further, pressing a gentle kiss onto his husband of five whole years' lips. When they pulled apart, gasping for air because Deceit is such s good kisser, Patton started the conversation.
"Happy Anniversary Darling! I'm making pancakes! I assumed you had plans even though you told me over and over again you didn't so this is pretty much all I had planned. Ha ha..."
Patton laughed half nervously and half like he didn't care. No matter what, he was cute. He was Deceit's cute husband. He didn't mind in the slightest. He did have plans. Big plans. A giant lunch date and a walk in the park and then he wanted to go to the animal shelter and let Patron pick out any two pets of his desire. Deceit already had a snake chosen and ready to be picked up, but Patton always said that a dog needs another dog to be around and keep company when they aren't there so Deceit placed a contract for two dogs to adopt instead of one. See, he remembers. Despite that, Deceit laughed it off and rolled his eyes.
"I don't have any big plans, but I have one or two things I was hoping to get to do with you. I just want to be with my Jru today~." //Gyo\\
Patton giggled again, but squirmed to get out of Deceit's grasp. Oh, right. He has to go and make the Pancakes. He needs to focus on that and not on him. Deceit paused his lips and let him go, understanding but still being a bit venomous about it. Deceit left the kitchen so Patton could do his thing and he flopped on the couch in the livingroom, which was openly connected to both the kitchen and the dinning room. He took a blue gel pen and rolled up his sleeve writing down times and locations for everywhere he needs to be today. Deceit smiled and glanced over the counter at Patton, who went back to signing under his breath as he made stacks and stacks of delicious fluffy pancakes. He was going to give him the best Annoversaary he could ever have.

"Oh my goodness. You're taking me to DRAGONFLY SUSHI!? Dee, this place is expensive!"
Patton had his jaw ajar. If he didn't close it soon a butterfly from the time Skip above might fly in while it's still agape. Deceit chuckled in pure amusement. He's been saving his money forever just so he could afford all of Patton's favorite things. This is the most expensive yet the tastiest sushi place in probably all of Florida. It's only expensive because Patton loves to get seconds and get some of the most expensive items on the menu. Deceit never really cared. This place was a treat for both of them.
"Anything for you, 'amiri." //Ah-Mir-ee\\
The two married men hurried inside and were sat at a table. Deceit glared at the waitress when's she eyed Patton. He quickly flashed her his wedding ring and made a scowl and she got the gist. Deceit sat across from his beloved. Patton was gazing at them menu, choosing whatever he wanted this time, and Deceit just gazed at him adoringly. This was the man he married. This was the man he was going to spend the rest of his life with. He made the best decision of his life to get down on one knee and propose to Patton. It was the best mistake of his life to go to an animal shelter instead of a pet store looking for puppy chow while puppy sitting his brother's Jack Russel Terrier. He was too busy thinking about the past and his wonderful husband to realize he'd been asked a question.
"Oh, 'ana Asia Habibi. I was too busy getting lost in your eyes~" //Ah-na| Aes-if-un| Ha-bee-bee\\
Patton giggled and rolled his eyes. Patton should know Deceit well enough that he was spacing out and thinking to himself. He'd been getting better about his lying, which he used to do all the time. Patton channeled that energy into sarcasm and flirting with some helpt from his Therapist, Dr. Picani. Patton rested his chin on the bridge he made within his hands, staring directly into his eyes.
"I said that this is a wonderful way to spend our Anniversary. Over a wonderful lunch with my perfect husband. I couldn't ask for better."
He flashed Deceit the warmest and cheeriest smile he's seen in a million years. Well, not really. He gets that smile almost every day. It's one of the blessings he never fails to overlook. Patton was great big blessing he was freatfuk for every single day. He showed that thankfulness with hugs, kisses, snuggles, and whatever else lovers do. Deceit held his hand out over the table. Psttong got the Just and reached out to him. The two entwined their fingers. Deceit rubbed his thumb lovingly on Patton's hand, keeping to his word and getting lost in his eyes. They were so dull and boring and it wasn't like they were the most beautiful thing he's ever seen or anything. That's when the waitress came back, smiling.
"So, what can I get the lovely couple today?"
The fact that the waitress acknowledged the two men as a couple made Patton start fanboy squealing. Deceit couldn't stifle his laughter as Patton used his second hand to cover his mouth. He was so adorable. Deceit was so lucky to have this adorable man as his husband. Since Patton was geeking out, he went ahead and ordered first. That began their lunch date for the day.

Deceit had Patton close his eyes and wear a sleeping mask while he drove to the Animal Shelter. It was the same animal shelter Patton had a job working in during his teenage years in Highschool. It was the same place that inspired him to pursue vetinart science and become a veterinarian like he is today. Deceit stopped the care and got out. He went around and opened Patton's door for him, leading his hands so he can get out of the door. Just a few more paces and he can remove the sleeping mask, making his last big reveal of today. There already were quite a few. Maybe he was exaggerating earlier when he said he had a few plans and nothing too big.
"Deceit? What are we doing this time? Can I take this silly thing off now?"
Patton's couldn't see Deceit roll his eyes sarcastically, but also do it with the widest grin anybody could ever see on the snake of a man. Deceit took off the sleeping mask painfully slowly and watched Patton's reaction. He gasped and his hands flung over his mouth. He swore that his eyes looked somewhat teary, the water reflecting off the sunset due west. Patton looked over at him and Deceit nodded, knowing exactly what he was going to ask. Patton didn't hesitate, bitch. He ran right into the building to where the dogs were. He knew this animal shelter like the back of his hand. Now he was going to get to adopt two little buddies of his choice and give them a home they deserved.
Deceit followed him into the puppy room after getting the smol little corn snake he picked out. It was red and yellow rhombus patterned so he decided to name them Jafar. Since nobody knew what sex Jafar was Deceit made a little running joke and game with the staff working at the time that Jafar was a proud Genderqueer snake and strictly uses they/them pronouns. With the little guy wrapped around his neck and slithering down his shoulder to his hand, Deceit walked into the room. To no surprise at all, Patton was covered in a dog pile. Literally dozens of puppies pushed him to the ground and licked his face. Patton hadn't noticed he was there, on he cleared his throat and decided to make a snarky remark.
All right Jrus, this is my husband so all of you are going to have to back off." //Gyoos\\
Patton sat up, a bunch of puppies still playing with his shirt and pants and trying out hop into his lap. Patton was grinning and his hair was a mess. This is exactly what Patton haughty Heaven was like. Jafar was at Deceit's hand and coiling around his wrist like a bracelet. It was lucky he was a smol bean or else he'd be tied up real quick. Deceit sat down on the floor next to Patton, who leaned on the snake-free shoulder. Patton let out a sigh as the puppies scattered, playing with one another.
"I wish we could give them all a home, Dee Dee, but we can't look after all of them."
Deceit watched Patton's blissful serendipity turn into nostalgic menalcholy. Patton grew up in a house with several dogs. At least seven. One of them died after getting run over, another ran away, two of them got sick, and the last three eventually died of old age after a long and fulfilling life. Patton always wanted to safe all animals. He feels horrible for being allergic to cats and that he can't save any of them. It was then did Deceit realize he never told him that they could take two home. He didn't tell Patton he could take any of them home! He didn't even tell him about Jafar. Deceit smiled and used his hand to push Patton's fringe out of his face. Patton looked up at him and Deceit was about to bring the sunniness back in his face.
"But we can look after two of them~"
Patton literally gasped and went over to play with all the puppies again, trying to Deceit which ones he wants to take home. Deceit laughed under his breath and watched this man, this thirty one year old man, act like nothing more than a child. He loved it. He loved him. Deceit glanced at Jafar, who was trying to wrap his entir body around all of his fingers. Poor boi wasn't long enough. Deceit spread out his fingers to make it even more of a challenge for the tiny one. Might as well keep him entertained as he watched his husband be the child he is. He was loving every second of it. Today was worth it. Patton was worth it.

Whelp. That was fun! Have fun figuring out what all the Arabic means! If you can guess it somehwat correct I'll give you a gold star! I'm sorry this was so late and I couldn't get you anything before I went to school. I woke up late.
Literally anything can be fun and anything can be a game if you turn it into one. Let your imagination go free sometimes. The right brain needs as much exercise as the left brain does in school.
