Stole this idea from an Analogical oneshot on Quotev lol. If you haven't noticed, Analogical/Royality are my favorite ships. Enough about me.
STORYTIME!
Logan was reading a new novel he had received from the imagination. Roman has been working on new stories for the original characters Thomas had abandoned and this one about a team of orphans standing up to the anarchy of the LOP (League of Parents) was quite fascinating. He must commend Roman on an amazing job. But his little bubble of solitary reading was burst when his boyfriend, Patton, suddenly appeared into his personal library.
"Logan! Logan! I bet I can make you blush!"
Logan closed his book, placing the bookmark Patton doodled on a scrap of paper and made for him between the pages he was on. Sure, the orphans were about to get into a large-scale fight with the Mother Queen and her harem of Dads of all kinds of stereotypes, but his boyfriend was more important. This Dad right here was more important than all the dads in that book combined. Now what did he say? He was going to make him blush? Logan was Logic. There's no way. He pressed his glasses against his face with a smug expression.
"I'd love to see you try, Patton."
Logan Welcomed Patton to challenge himself. This could be a game of wit and mind and knowing the other person. This could be a psychology game and this could test both his memory and his communication skills. The victor is the one who does not blush. This could be a fun back and forth game-
"Roses are red and violets are blue, out of all the equations I choose you! No matter if we add a child or subtract our sorrows, no matter if we divide our belongings or multiply our tomorrows! Together you are the x to my y. Add in a slope and intercept and we got a line! We're straight like a parabola, squaring our joy. We're complimentary like two angles, adding up to ninety degrees boi! Roses are red and violets are blue, out of all the transformations I would never change you!"
That was extremely well crafted. Logan felt his face forward very hot, thinking about every mathematical property he added in that little poem. He had the equation of a line correct, the fact that one of the variables in a quadratic equation is x^2, and the fact that two complimentary angles add up to ninety. Did Patton out research into all of those factors just for him? And how he said that they were, quote, "straight as a parabola" when a parabola is a curve implies that they were gay... what was on his flashcards? Gay af. Whatever af means.
"Yes! I did it! I win! Roman owes me twenty dollars! Bye bye Logan!"
Like that, Patton just sunk out. Logan was left alone with a burning face. Logan was left alone with his thoughts, thinking about how hard Patton must have tried to make that. He also completely disregarded the fact that he and Roman made a bet that Patton can make him blush with a poem. Maybe he should do something to recpiorocate this action? Make Patton feel special? Maybe also make a bet with Virgil to see if he can make Patton blush? Or would that be revenge?
Logan clanged over at the book he was reading. The book would always be there, his determination to try and show up Patton would not. He isn't the creative type, but he could try and do something Patton would like. Maybe instead of making a bet with the Anxiety Side he could ask for assistance? He was much better at thinking cleverly. And Logan doesn't want to deal with that Fanciful Side right now. He's too idealistic. Logan decided to go to Virgil's room for help. That's probably best.
Time Skip Because Dodie And Thomas's Chemistry when singing. They sound so good together!
Logan, with Virgil's help, put together a song. Since Virgil, being the TØP and Dodie trash he is, learned how to play ukulele. He suggest he sing him a small song, since Logan was quite good at singing. Look back at the Crofter's Video, Logan can sing! Logan was against the idea of a song, but it was what they'd do. Logan took inspiration from Patton and decided to go with the flowery theme. He also threw in some phrases from different languages, since he loves languages so much. (He tried getting Thomas to learn French and Italian once but he didn't.)
"Patton. Can we have your time?"
Virgil and Logan popped up in Patton's room. Virgil was just smiling, happy he could help out his best friends. Besides, the song was so wholesome it brought Virgil out of his bad moods. Patton looked up from watching whatever memory he was rummaging in. Before Patton could even greet the two cheerfully or anything, Virgil began playing the beginning instumentals. Logan waited for his cue to begin singing. He was just internally hoping that Patton wouldn't find this really weird or his singing isn't good. His cue was coming up, so Logan learned his throat and let his voice do the work.
"🎶Roses are red, just like strawberries and raspberries. Rosey pies and Rosey cheeks, but all I really need is you next to me. Roses aren't always red, but my roses are red. Like the sheets on your bed, like the feelings in your head. Roses will forever be, red.
Violets are blue, like blueberries and the sky. Soaring far, flying high, and swimming in the currents won't be hard if we try. With your hand in mine, we can conquer this time, together we're fine. Violets will never be clementine.
Out of everyone in this world, I will always choose you. Ma Fleur. Tu es Ma rose, Tu es Ma Violette. Je vous aime tellement. I will stand by your side. I will never falter or slide away. I will be right here to make sure it is all okay. You are my rose and my violet, and I love you so very much.🎶"
Virgil stopped his ukulele playing and Logan opened his eyes, not realizing he wasn't squeezing them shut. His gaze landed on Patton. Patton was squealing like a fanboy and smiling like an idiot. That's brought an uplifting feeling on the side. Logan looked back at Virgil for confirmation that he did good. Virgil just smirked, gave him a thumbs up, and sunk down. He left him alone with Patton. When Logan turned his focus back around Patton grew himself in his arms.
"You wrote me a song!? That was sooooo amazing! I don't even know French but I know it probably meant something really romantic! I love you too Logan! I love you so much! That was so awesome!"
Logan was receiving a lot of praise right now. He didn't know what to do but give back in this hug. Maintain the equilibrium, right? Logan closed his eyes and just enjoyed the warmth of Patton. He loved Patton. He loves Patton. He won't ever stop loving Patton. That's why he did all this and made a fool of himself anyways. He wanted to give back a gift like Patton gave to him. Logan even wrote down that poem he said somehwere. He didn't want to forget it.
"I love you more, Ma violette."
Fun Fact: Virgil pretended to sink out. He was hiding behind a corner, smiling and watching the two of them be dorks. Dad was an overly affectionate dork and Logan was a dork who couldn't express his emotions. Well, he is Logic. Of course he doesn't know how to express himself. That's why he needs help from your friendly neighborhood best friend Virgil. He shook his head and decided to leave. Hey, if Logan can suck it up and write a song for Patton, then maybe Virgil can do something with Roman to show he loves him. Virgil looked st his ukulele and smiled. Maybe he should write something for Roman himself. Virgil sunk down for real this time, leaving Patton and Logan to their own romantic moment. He didn't want to steal the spotlight now did he?

The original idea was to make Patron pester Logan, trying to make him blush. But then I thought of that algebra 1 poem and I decided I would roll on that instead. So here you go, a bunch of adorkable fluff.
