"How amazing is it to find someone who wants to hear about all the things going on in your head."

☆☆☆

I wait on the sidewalk in front of my apartment. The morning sun awakes and the wind blows fresh air, making me shiver slightly. Goosebumps appear on my arm.

I look around me and greet a nice lady, walking with a basket. She's probably going to the supermarket.

A fancy car stops in front of me, letting me know who is there.

    Mason.

This time he isn't driving in his Tesla, but in another expensive car. Fudging billionaire. The door opens and a well build body comes out, making my heart pounds a bit faster.

He has his dark suit on. His hair is in a perfect state, a strand of hair is hanging above his head, making him look even ravishing then before. Unlike me my hair is probably looking as a disaster. I can't do anything, but admire his perfectly build face, totally untainted. It's as if God himself carved it, not leaving one part undone.

I was caught of guard when I saw Mason, stalking up to me. His eyes their normally metallic grey color staring right at mine.

He stops in front of me cupping my cheeks while locking our eyes together. His grey pair melted perfectly with my green ones. He rubs his thumb in circles around my cheek, making a slight blush appear on my cheek.

Taking me by surprise, he bows down and leaves a chased kiss on my crown, making my eyes pop out. My heart beat quickens again and my blood creeps up my face, making me look like an awkward tomato. The place where he left a kiss is burning up, leaving me want for more.

    Wait! What?

    Faye you're getting batshit crazy.

I get up from my trance, knowing that this feeling isn't right. I take a step back trying to hide my awkward beet red face.

"Good morning, princess", Mason greets me in his velvety voice. That has a husky undertone within it, sending a shiver down my spine.

"G-good morning, Mason", I reply back, my voice a mere whisper.

I peeked through my lashes, perceiving his flawless face. Mason's smile is blinding me. His dimples which I love so much appears out. He appears so much younger when he smiles. His charming smile is my new favorite thing on earth. My heart melts instantly and without any of my consent, words come out my mouth.

"I love your smile", I mutter out, making me gasp.

Mason's eyes widen and his jaw drops down to his knees. I can't do anything else but drown in my own shame. Why can't I just shut up for the rest of my life.

Oh man, Faye! You did it again!

I don't dare to look up, instead I stare at my heels as if they were the most interesting thing on earth. I feel Mason burn holes into my face, but I still look down.

I make a mental note to not ever look up again. I flirted with my boss.

    I just cannot.

Two unyielding fingers come down my chin, heaving it up, forcing me to look up.

Man, mission failed.

"Don't look down, princess. I love your blush. It's mine now", he states while his eyes are twinkling, making them look brighter.

His smile appears again. This time brighter, showing his bright white teeth. It seems like he was in cloud nine.

I on the other hand couldn't do anything but blink my eyes rapidly. My stomach was making back flips and my cheeks were on fire.

This girl is literally on fire!

"L-let's go to work", I stutter quietly, still embarrassed.

Mason chuckles slightly and opens the door for me.

☆☆☆

After minutes passed by I remark something weird. Something really weird.

"Mason, we already passed by the building", I spoke, looking outside the window.

Has he forgotten where he worked? Is he working so hard that it's getting to his head and he's getting crazy?

"I know, princess", he responds casually as if it were normal.

But it isn't!

A frown forms on my face. I'm frustrated by the confusion. Wanting to discover what he meant, I didn't even know a pout was forming on my lips.

I gasp when I finally found the only solution possible.

"Are you going to kill me?", I gulp. My eyes widen in horror.

Mason reflects my face. It looks like he couldn't believe his eyes. His teeth clenched on each other and for a moment he closes his eyes.

"No, princess. Never", he hisses it out. His face still displaying hurt clearly, making my heart ache in pain.

"I'm sorry, Mason", I whisper ashamed of my question.

"It's nothing, princess. It's morning and I want you to eat a good breakfast before starting the morning", he confesses.

"Thank you, but I already had breakfast", I say, not wanting to bother him.

"What did you have, princess?", he asks, narrowing his eyes.

"A cup of tea and a bagel."

"That's not enough, princess. You need to eat more, much more", he demands with this bossy tone, but it's still soft and caring.

     "But-"

I get instantly cut off by his glare, giving me this don't-look.

    Nah, he didn't.

Dude, who does he think he is? My father?

I cross my arms around my cleavage and let a small huff out, pouting my lips.

After 10 more minutes the car stops. I look out the window and see that we're in a way too fancy area. It's so overwhelming that I almost want to throw up from the uneasiness.

We both get out of the car. Mason rests a hand on the back of my spine. The area where his hand lays, burns from his warmth. He leads us to the fancy restaurant, seeking closer and closer.

Nah, it's probably just my imagination.

My mouth gapes open when I said overwhelming then it was a total understatement. It was more than that. This whole restaurant was made out of gold and marble.

A farmer like me who lives in a wooden cottage doesn't know what luxe is, but this is way to much. I want my farm back.

A servant comes right away to us, greeting the both of us: "hello, Mr. and Miss William."

My face immediately heats up. I take a glance at Mason and see him already staring at me with a proud smile plastered on his face.

I want to deny it but before I could even say 'Bertha', Mason already spoke up.

"A table for two at the silent place, the new garden", he orders the servant that looks scared shitless. Mason's voice was rough and deep, total opposite of how he normally speaks to me.

Poor guy, seems to want to pee his pant under.

The servant nods quickly and indicates us to follow him to the back of the restaurant.

I'm blown away. The room was enormous but beside that utterly mesmerizing. I could stand here and view it whole day long.

Plants were holding us captive. They were hanging above us, standing next us. It seemed as if the most precious flowers were gathered around the world in this room.

The room was completely lit up by the sun light shining through the veranda.
In the middle of it stood a white table, ready for two.

After admiring it all we both take a seat at the table. I take the menu that's already on the table and glimpse at it. I can't comprehend what's on it.

All this fancy food.

"You can go", Mason tells the servant without granting him a look. His eyes are only on me.

I shift on my seat and speak up:"You know we could just take a table inside the restaurant. Why all this?"

Mason gives me a unreadable look and sighs. His grey eyes get a tint brighter.

"Because a princess has not to eat with others. A princess needs her own calm area", he states in his deep velvet voice. His eyes completely dreaming away in deep affection.

"So to get to this place... Do you know the owner?"

    "Yes, princess", he responds huskily.

"Who is it?", I ask excited.

The owner must sure be rich to have all this.

"Me", he shrugs it off as if it's the most unimportant thing on earth.

    Well. Fricking. Way.

What does this man not have? I mean urghhh!

How can he play it so cool? Like sure I have dozens of car and a fancy golden restaurant. Urghhhhh!

"Do you like it?", he asks his voice getting nervous?

Woah, Faye. Starting imagining things, aren't we?

"This room is mesmerizing. I love it!", I reply elated.

His eyes are glowing their bright metallic grey. His dimples appear again in his smile, making me smile too.

"I'm glad you liked it. I arranged it specially for you", he confess.

    What. The actual mushroom.

I almost choked on my saliva.

"What do you mean?", I ask him confused.

"Last night when I bought you home. I knew what I was going to do with this room. I often just came here and thought it was blank. No one could use this room, but when I knew you liked flowers I made this for you", he states it looking right in my green eyes.

"And what did I do to deserve this?", I laugh out of uneasiness.

"Just being you, princess", he responds softly, making a blush creep up my face again.

    Stahp it!

This is creeping me out for bubble gum's sake!

Does he do this with all of his assistants?

    But maybe...

    "Mason?", I ask him sincerely.

"Yes, princess", he responds with a slight smile.

"Are we friends?", I ask him bluntly.

That will totally make sense. I don't think he has much friends, poor bloke, considering he's always working, but maybe he can be friends with his assistant.

"Y-yes, princess", he mutters it out under his breath. It seems as if he isn't really happy about the answer.

    YAS MY PLAN IS WORKING!

I hear him whisper something about a 'zone' under his breath, but I just shrug it off.

"Mason, now that we're friends and I'm still your assistant. You don't need to give gifts like that anymore. Like I know that we're friends but I don't really like big gifts just an easy treat in the McDonalds is enough."

Mason's eyes widen:"Princess, you deserve the world."

"You're funny, Mason. Next time I would treat. But no fancy restaurant as this, because I'm broke", I chuckle with my own joke, but stop when I see Mason not laughing with me.

I probably look pathetic, laughing all by myself.

"I'm serious, princess. You deserve the world", he states as a matter of facts.

This bloke is taking this friendship too serious.
