jackson as best friend
................................................................................................................................................................
Pushing the trolley, making it skid in the somewhat empty aisle the messy-brown haired boy skids to a stop nearly running you over as you stare up the endless list of products that seemed to go on to infinity.
'One trolley delivered to a Miss (Y/N),' your best friend said, bowing deeply before joining you as you were contemplating the world's most serious question: What type of cereal were you supposed to buy?
'So,' you asked in a grave tone. 'Should we get Cheerios OR Fruity Loops?' you said tapping a finger against your bottom lip, thinking hard.
'Neither,' he scoffed, picking a box of plain cornflakes. 'We should get this,' he said shoving the cereal box under your nose causing you to wrinkle it in distaste.
'Oh My God Jackson,' you laughed as you examined the cover. 'Sugar-free all natural, cereal? You have GOT to be kidding me,' you laughed, putting the box back on its shelf.
'Hey!' he protested. 'It's healthy AND organic!' he pouted.
'Butttt,' you trilled. 'Yeah yeah I'm sure it has all sorts of benefits but does it taste good?' you asked, raising an eyebrow in speculation.
'Hmmm probably not,' he muttered, reluctantly agreeing with you.
'Seee,' you grin, grabbing a 3 boxes of Fruit Loops and tossing them in the trolley along with a box of S'mores Pop Tarts.
'Whoa whoa,' he stopped you as you were about to go down another aisle. 'Are you sure you're going to buy so much cereal?' he asked.
Laughing, you replied: 'Honestly Jackson do you even KNOW your members? They could probably polish of a box a day especially with Mark around, you know how much he loves the stuff,'
'And the Pop-Tarts?' he asked, pointing to the bright blue box. 'Didn't we just buy those?'
'We did but SOMEONE also known as Bam Bam and Yugyeom, maknae line extraordinaire stole all of them from my secret hiding spot in the cupboard,' you grumbled. 'I swear I'm going to hide them in my room from now on,' you mutter.
'You do know that they'll just find out again right? This is what? The third time you've changed your hiding spot?' Jackson asked as both of you went through the other aisles searching for the stuff on your shopping list.
'I know, honestly if there's something sweet around, those boys can sniff it out like a bunch of bloodhounds,' you say fondly.
Chuckling at the 'bloodhounds' comment, Jackson took over from pushing the trolley as you strolled along the ice-cream aisle. 'Ohhhh,' you gasped, rushing to the colorful which seemed to wave at you from the fridges. 'There's mint-chocolate chip,' you squealed, flinging the door open and grabbing a carton, grinning widely.
'Jeez you scared me,' Jackson muttered as he arranged the groceries which had scattered from the sudden arrival of the ice-cream box.
'I will protect this with my soul,' you said fiercely, eyeing the mint-green ice cream box like a mother protecting its only child.
'Good luck with that,' Jackson smirked, examining the cover. 'It'll probably be gone by tomorrow afternoon, night if you're lucky,' he said.
'Oh no, this is not stepping FOOT in your dorm, I'm going to ask (BFF/N) to keep it,' you decided on the spot. She was allergic to chocolate so it would be safe there.
'We'll see we'll see,' he laughed, shaking his head pushing the trolley full almost to bursting with groceries to the bursting, the cashier's eyes nearly bulging out as you smiled sympathetically as the first object was placed on the conveyor belt.
'7 boys,' you said as the numbers kept climbing. 'Don't ask,' you suggested to the cashier who was staring almost open-mouthed at the mountain of groceries, proceeding to scan each one.
Sighing, both of you pushed the trolley, the wheels squealing in protest. 'Thank God we brought the van instead of my car,' you groaned in relief as you reached the car, piling in the plastic bags bulging with food and other essentials.
'Let's go,' you said, tired as Jackson took to the wheel.
Time Skip Back To Dorm
'They better come down here and help or else, I swear I'm never doing their shopping again,' you grumbled, arms full of plastic bags as you made your way up to the dorm.
Attempting an incredibly difficult balancing act, you untangled your bunch of keys, managing to open the door, revealing Bam Bam and Yugyeom staring avidly at the television, eyes glued.
'Couldn't give the girl some help could you?' you grumbled, depositing the groceries on the smooth marble table. 'Honestly, I don't even know why you guys can't go and buy your own groceries,' you mutter.
'Because,' Bam Bam began ticking off with his fingers. 'Mark hyung's your boyfriend so when you shop for him you shop for the 7 of us, your best friend is Jackson hyung, JB hyung is your brother and finally you love us and we would probably die from lack of food without you,' he recited grinning, turning his attention back to the TV.
'Haha,' you said sarcastically, organizing the groceries in the shelves. 'Honestly I feel more like a mother if anything,'
'Hey babe,' your boyfriend's voice floated from the hallway. 'You're back,' he grinned. 'Did you get my cereal?' he pouted searching through the plastic bags.
'Yes yes,' you said patiently. 'I even got you those Pop-Tarts you wanted,' you laughed, tossing him the box, loving the way his eyes lit up as he examined the familiar looking box.
'And THIS is exactly why I love you,' he said smiling, pecking you on the cheek, wrapping his arms around your middle.
'Oh God I think I'm going to puke,' Bam Bam said, miming vomiting on Yugyeom's head. 'Get a room both of you,' Yugyeom said, scrambling to get away from Bam Bam.
'Maybe we should?' he asked you pulling on your sleeve.
'Later, love I still need to get these sorted out,' you laughed at how insistent he was.
'Fine,' he pouted. '5 minutes (Y/N),' he warned, going back to his room.
Shaking your head, you immediately sorted out all of the groceries eager to be able to spend some time with your amazing boyfriend. Slamming the last drawer closed, you nearly sprinted to his room and into his waiting arms, dislodging a very unsatisfied Coco from the couch. 'So, do you want to play Overwatch?' he asked, cuddling you to his chest.
'Yessss,' you said, eyes excited.
'Fine, but you asked for it, Youngjae's been training me.' Mark joked as he set up your laptops.
'We'll see Mark Tuan we'll see,' you said accepting the challenge eagerly.
Just as your fingers touched the keyboard you heard a duet of voices exclaim in synchronization in the kitchen. 'ICE-CREAMMM,' you could hear the maknae line scream.
You actually swore under your breath. 'Mint chocolate chip?' Mark asked. Nodding frantically, he said 'You better go and save it before they consume it all,' his sentence barely out of his mouth as you ran at the speed of light to save your precious stash of ice-cream.
