My hand stretched out covering his chest, wrapping closely around it. "You alright?" He whispered upon my sudden movement.
"Yeah," I muttered back, staring up at the white walled ceiling.
"Are you sure? Something playing on your mind?" I shook my head, but quickly decided against it.
"It's not much, I was just asking myself a question that I wanted to ask you." Instantly his hand started running along my back trying to comfort me.
"What's the question?" I sighed, breaking into a pause trying to decide whether I should say or not.
"I...I was wondering, why did you choose me?" I loosened my grip from around him in anticipation for his response.
"I chose you because you are the definition of perfection in my eyes, I'd already found the best so what was the point in looking anymore?" His lips planted on the top of my head.
"Thank you," I whispered, remaining in the same position.
"Does that put your mind at a little bit more ease now?" I quickly felt my eyelids begin to droop.
"Yeah," I whispered back, barely able to bring myself to speak anymore having felt a weight be lifted from my shoulders by asking.
