Idea: Vik has been really lonely, so the Sidemen take him for a night out to cheer him up. And, in a weird round-about way, they succeed.

Vik couldn't help but let out a groan. As much as he loved his friends, this is not at all what he needed. His fellow housemates all noticed that Vik had been down, and decided that they needed to fix this. Their solution to his problems, however, was quite the opposite. They determined that Vik felt lonely because he had no one and decided that they should take him for a night out clubbing to pick up a girl. The reason for Vik's loneliness was where there plan met its fatal flaw. It's not that Vik didn't have someone, he did. His someone just so happened to live in Australia. That was what made Vik upset. He missed his beloved, and wanted to hold them in his arms once more. The boys didn't know, however, of Vik's lover. The pair were waiting until the Australian could visit once again to tell the Sidemen. This made it very hard for Vik to get out of this charade.
As if the situation was not already bad enough, his friends decided to take his phone away. The agreement was he found someone to at least talk to that night, or else he wouldn't get his phone back. This meant Vik could not text his lover all night long, like he was originally planning to do.
The boys expected Vik to be ready and downstairs in ten minutes. Already prepared and stripped of his phone, he quickly used his computer to send his lover a message.
Vikky 🌟- Heading out soon for my "much needed night out". I don't wanna go and spend a whole night not talking to you
Lil' Lachy ❤️- I'm so sorry babe. Try making a friend, that way you'll get your phone back
Vikky 🌟- It's a room full of drunk, horny people. Making friends isn't an option
Lil' Lachy ❤️- Just try, alright love? Gtg, sorry I love you

Vik's final message went unread, making him sigh. His ten minutes were up now, so he turned off his computer and dragged himself down the steps. The others were waiting by the door, JJ moments away from shouting at Vik to hurry up. Vik arrived right before he could do so, and the four boys set off for the night.
Vik hated the club even more the moment he stepped into it. The music blared through the speakers, causing the building to vibrate from the intensity. The air reeked of sweat, alcohol, and lust. Vik nearly gagged, but managed to compose himself. While Vik took to looking around the room in despair, his friends sent him some final reminders of what he was meant to do tonight before they wandered off. The short boy was left with no guidance, and he'd have to find some entertainment from the people in this room.
Vik was lucky enough, however, to notice a girl who looked just as out-of-place and disoriented as he felt. She sat alone on one side of a booth, water glass on the table before her. He approached the girl, taking note of her wavy blonde hair and slightly larger body. She looked pretty enough to Vik, yet she sat alone. When he was close enough to the girl that he could begin talking, she groaned and turned to him.
"Look, if you're here for a one night stand, I'm not interested. I don't swing many ways, thanks." The phrasing confused Vik, but he simply shook his head. He sat himself in the seat opposite her before talking.
"No worries, I'm taken. My boyfriend just isn't here tonight, so I was looking for someone to talk to." The girl's eyes lit up, and the two began to chat. As the night continued onward, Vik learned more and more about this new girl. Named Layla, she was quite the interesting character. When Vik asked what she meant by "I don't swing many ways", she chuckled before explaining. She was apparently asexual- something that Vik would only occasionally hear of. It meant she wasn't interested in sex, basically, but she still fell in love. Vik was so interested in the conversation about this that he hadn't notice the person approaching behind him. He only noticed once Layla looked up, curiosity in her eyes. When he turned around, he felt like screaming and crying and laughing all at once.
"Lachy!" Vik jumped up and hugged the tall blond, causing him to chuckle. The Australian held the shorter close to him, kissing his head repetitively. "Oh Lachy, I didn't think you could come for another month! You never told me you were coming; I've missed you so much. Oh, I made a friend like you told me too! Oh wait, I gotta introduce you two." Vik's rambling started the moment he pulled back from Lachlan's hug, and stopped when he turned to Layla once more. "Layla, this is Lachlan. Lachlan, Layla. This is my boyfriend, by the way." Lachlan smiled at the blonde girl, glad that someone could keep Vik company until his plan went through. He nodded to the girl in greeting, and she smiled back at him.
"Nice to meet you too Lachlan. You going to join us for a while or will you two be going?" Vik shook his head no, pulling Lachlan towards the booth and shoving him to the inside. Vik sat on the outside before the two continued to talk, their chatter moving to a large variety of topics. Lachlan would join in every so often, but he didn't need to do so frequently. Both Layla and Vik talked a lot, but Lachlan was fine with this. Instead, he spent his night admiring his shorter boyfriend and gladly exchanging small touches or kisses. Layla was very supportive of the two, mentioning occasionally how absolutely adorable they were. All went smoothly and perfectly. Well, until the boys came over for Vik.
"When did you get here, Lachlan?" It had been Josh that asked the question, making sure to use his dad tone.
"Just came up from Australia to visit. Got in tonight and remembered Vik said you would be here. Is that a problem?" Lachlan's tone was much colder than he liked using, but he needed to do this. Layla looked to Vik for an explanation, and Vik tried his best to mouth the two words she needed: doesn't know. Her eyes widened a bit as it clicked but nodded her head.
"Well, it wouldn't have been a problem if you had told us. We took Vik out for a reason tonight. And he obviously must've been listening to us before you showed up." Vik cringed at Josh's words, feeling disgusted by the idea. He wasn't going to hook up with a random girl, he was just making a friend to keep him from being lonely.
"And it was a horrible thing for you guys to do. Did any of you ever bother asking him what was wrong, or asking if he was okay with going out tonight?" Lachlan's voice raised slightly, his tone now holding the same disgust that Vik had been feeling.
"No, and we didn't need to. Vik has been our friend for a while now, we can tell what's wrong with him." Josh's argument was so insignificant that Lachlan laughed. Simon had now wandered over to the booth, watching the scene going down.
"Oh really? And that's why you had to bribe him here?" Lachlan sarcasm and sass leak into his voice, making Simon get upset.
"Why the hell do you care anyway? It's none of your business, Lachlan." Simon now interjected, causing Lachlan to become angrier.
"But it is my business!"
"Why?"
"Because I'm dating Lachlan!" Vik's first words in this exchange brought the two Sidemen to silence. He was nearly in tears from listening to them argue. "I'm dating Lachlan. There, you happy? And the reason I've been lonely is because he wasn't here, with me. And I was at no point okay with coming out tonight and I, I..." Vik's words trailed off, his breathing becoming heavier. Lachlan was quick to wrap the other up in his arms, allowing the shorter to bury his face in his chest.
"While I don't know what Vik was about to say, I'm going to put in my two cents anyway. You two, are both assholes and should feel bad. Yeah, you were trying to help, but you don't force others to do things, especially when you don't have the whole story. As for the lovely couple before me, stay strong you two. I gotta head out, it's getting late. But if I ever find you two again, you better still be together. G'night Vik, it was nice talking to you. You too Lachlan." Layla stood from the booth after her vent, returning her glass to the bar before leaving the club. Josh and Simon ended up moving into her side of the booth, Josh on the inside. The pair were silently communicating with their eyes before Simon lightly shoved Josh and began speaking.
"Look Vik, we're sorry. We shouldn't have done this to you, it really wasn't fair. We should have been decent friends and actually talked to you, rather than dragging you off to some club to try to get you- erm." Simon's face turns a light pink and he scratches the back of his neck. "I don't know how to say that without Lachlan killing me. So I'm just gonna skip that and get back to the fact that we're sorry and I'm sorry. I fully support you and Lachlan though, if that counts for anything." Vik removed himself from Lachlan's chest to look at Simon, seeing the older looked very upset with himself. Vik was careful in his movements and extended his hand out so it sat right in front of Simon's own hands.
"Don't worry bout it too much, Si. Lachlan came up because of it so that's a little plus." Simon let out a breathy laugh at Vik's joke, slowly moving his fingers to pat Vik's. It was something they had started doing a while ago, their own little comforting style. Josh now sighed, letting his head drop further, if it was even possible.
"And I'm sorry too, to both of you. It was wrong for us to do and I shouldn't have given you shit Lachlan. I'm sorry." Josh turned his head to look at the wall beside the booth, refusing to make eye contact. Simon slightly nudged his shoulder, making Josh turn his head to look at Simon's hands. Simon flipped a hand so it was palm up, spreading its fingers a little. Josh smiled small at the gesture, and Josh's hand wrapped itself around Simon's. Their fingers intertwined and Josh smiled a little more.
"Alright if you guys keep acting so gay I'm gonna end up catching it. Can we go home now please? I'm drunk and tired." JJ ruined the mood, causing all four seated boys to laugh a little. Simon shoved JJ with his empty hand, before removing himself from the booth. His hand remained locked with Josh's as they both stood and walked out the door. Lachlan carried Vik out by his thighs, the shorter wrapping his legs around the blond's waist and his arms around his neck.
The five eventually made it home, Lachlan carefully placing Vik into bed and promising he'd be back in a moment. Lachlan made his way to Josh's room, knocking on the door. The oldest's voice allowed him to enter, and Lachlan smiled lightly at the scene. Simon and Josh were semi-cuddled together, obviously trying to make it seem platonic.
"Sorry to bug you, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that I currently do not hate you both and you can therefore sleep peacefully tonight. However, I swear if you hurt my Vikky again I will hurt you." The two nodded to Lachlan's words, making the standing boy smile before wishing them goodnight. He returned to Vik's room, cuddling close to his lover. "I love you, my Vikky Star" Lachlan whispered, laying a kiss in Vik's hair.
"I love you too Lil' Lachy. You make me not lonely."
