Niall’s eyes scanned across the room, stopping on you. He smiled to himself, holding back a laugh as he watched you wander around the room, wearing a confused expression. He was leaning against the wall, his hands in his pockets. He clicked his tongue and made his way toward you.
“You looking for something, dear?” His voice came out of nowhere, taking you by surprise. You jumped slightly, sighing at the sight of him.
“Not anymore,” You nervously chuckled, brushing your hands over your pants before handing him a picture of himself, along with your pen. “Would you be so lovely as to sign that picture?”
“No problem,” He pulled the cap off of the pen, holding it between his teeth while he scribbled his signature across the picture. You stared at his mouth as he lightly chewed on the cap to your pen, and you made a mental note to never get rid of that pen.
He capped the pen and gave it back to you, followed by the picture. You nodded in response, expecting him to walk away. Instead, he stood in his place, resting against the nearest wall. “Would you like a picture for yourself?” He asked, interrupting the awkward silence. You beamed and nodded excitedly, causing him to giggle at your reaction.
He shuffled through his pockets before pulling out his own phone, taking you by surprise yet again. Without hesitation, he grabbed you by your waist and pulled you into his side, opening the camera on his phone. “Smile, love,” He whispered, pressing his lips to the side of your face while snapping the picture. You bit your lip, holding back the urge to scream as he smiled approvingly at the picture. “Give me your number and I’ll send it to you, yeah?”
You inhaled a deep breath, trying to keep yourself composed. He slid his phone into your grip and you quickly typed in your number before giving it back to him. You stood quietly again, still trying to process everything that had just happened to you.
“I don’t believe I caught your name,” He said.
“Oh, my name is Julia,” You smiled.
“Pleasure to meet you, Julia,” He said, unexpectedly pulling you into him for a hug. While he held you tightly, his arms wrapped around your body, he leaned in and whispered in your ear, “I’d love to take you on a date once this is over.”
