By the end of your first month on the job, you knew continuing to work in that office would prove to be a difficult task for you. As time progressed, the more you realized this. It wasn't because the work was hard. Sure, there were times when the job was a little demanding, as you were always running errands for your boss, but it wasn't anything you couldn't handle. The thing that troubled you, surprisingly enough, was Mr. Horan.

He smiled at you so frequently. He winked at you any time a flirty line left his lips. He'd touch your arm, or purposely brush past you in the hall. You swore it was all an act to test your tolerance. You knew he was fully aware of the effect he had on you, as it wasn't a rare thing for him. Nearly every woman in that building would've died to be in your shoes; working so closely with Mr. Sexy. Half of them were lucky to shake his hand, or even have a conversation with him.

It was behind the locked door of his office that you found yourself really struggling to focus. You'd watch his lips move while he spoke, either giving you a task or explaining something to you. His lunch break was also your lunch break, so you often shared a meal together. He'd taken you out to eat several times over the past month. Though it was never confirmed by either of you, each lunch you shared together felt like a date.

You were lured in by him, tremendously, but you constantly had to remind yourself that this was supposed to be a professional setting, in which getting too close to your boss would be unacceptable. You were there for work, to get a pay check every other week. Though sharing a close relationship with your gorgeous boss would be lovely, that wasn't what you were there for. You walked in that door, the day of your interview, determined to find a job - not a lover.

"Oh, hey!" Niall beamed when he pulled his office door open, to see you standing behind it. "You're here early," He said, glancing at his watch, "It's only 7:45."

"If I'm here early, then so are you," You reminded him, raising your eyebrows. He smiled and dropped his eyes to the ground, knowing he'd been caught.

Licking his tongue over his lips, Niall slowly brought his eyes up to meet yours. He laughed a little and nodded, saying, "You got me there, sweetheart."

"So tell me," You started, leaning against the door frame while Niall still gripped the door handle in his hand. "What's got you here so early? I just got here a few minutes ago and you look like you've been here way longer than that. Something you wanna tell me about, sir?"

He smiled again and shook his head, letting a chuckle slip past his lips. He stepped out into the hallway, closing the door behind him. "Come with me," He said, as he motioned for you to follow him. Doing as you were told, you walked alongside him as he led you down the staircase rather than using the elevator. You watched his hand only skim over the handrail as he jogged down the steps. There was a platform before the next set of stairs, and Mr. Horan paused here. Clicking his tongue, he threw you a smirk and asked, "How about you tell me first - why are you here early? Couldn't wait till eight o'clock to see me, could you?"

What were you supposed to say? Yes, actually, that's exactly why I came early. Because I can never get enough of your pretty little face. Laughing, in attempt to hide your thoughts, you playfully shoved his arm and shot back, "Oh, shut up, you cocky thing. I actually just came early because I... because I thought I had some stuff to finish up from yesterday. Your turn. Why are you here before eight?"
