"Do you have a plan?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"Yeah I have a plan." Stiles nodded.

"Is it a good one?" I scoffed.

He hesitated, pouting his bottom lip as he thought for a second to himself.

"I have a plan." He repeated with a few nods of his head. "Scott's going to die."

My eyes widened and I looked from Stiles to Scott with confusion.

"You're going to die?" I asked Scott.

Scott pondered the thought, "Hypothetically, yes."

"But you'll be okay, right?" I asked, "Like you'll wake up?"

"Yeah, I'll be okay." Scott smiled, reaching down to hold my hand.

"Why does it have to be you?" I sighed.

"Because Scott's high on the list." Stiles answered.

"I wish I knew where I was on the list." I grumbled.

The two of them remained silent as they just stared at me. Both of them looked uneasy in my presence. I continued looking between the two of them.

"What? Why are you guys staring at me like that?"

Stiles looked at Scott before sighing and looking back to me, "We unlocked the third list."

"Am I on it?" I asked.

Scott looked at Stiles before letting out a sigh and pulling out a piece of paper from his back pocket. He then answered, "Yeah."

"How much am I worth?"

Scott looked down at the list and then back up to me, "45 million."

"No way! 45 Million, I have to see this," I gasped grabbing the list from Scott's hand. I knew it was wrong of me to be this excited about how much I was worth if I were to get killed, but for some reason I couldn't help it.

Before Scott could pull it back, I was already looking down the dead pool. My eyes going over each name until it landed on Elaine. I furrowed my brows at my last name...I was Elaine Barnes. Never in my life had I been called a Hale.

"Why does it say Elaine Hale?" I chuckled nervously looking down at the dead pool and back up to Scott and Stiles.

My amused smile faded when I realized that their expressions were stone-cold serious.

"Oh, my god, why does it say Elaine Hale?" I asked once again more firmly. I looked back down at the list trying to confirm what I had just seen, "And why is Malia Hale right under it?"

"You might want to ask Peter that." Stiles scratched the back of his neck.

"What?" I whispered, the words seething through my teeth. "How long have both of you known?"

"Just a few days," Scott answered, his tone was nervous.

"A few days?" I exclaimed, "And were either of you even going to tell me?"

"We were going to but-" Stiles began, but I was quick to interrupt.

"But what? If I didn't even bring up the dead pool would you two even have said anything?" I asked still in shock and disbelief.

"We were trying to figure out how you would react when you found out that Peter was your dad." Stiles explained.

"Oh yeah? And how am I reacting now?" I challenged, condescendingly raising my eyebrows.

Stiles sighed and rubbed the back of his next before answering, "Badly."

I let out a frustrated sigh, "You guys knew. You knew that I wanted to know who my dad is." I paused looking at both of their very guilty faces, "And when you guys found out, neither one of you wanted to tell me? Were you ever going to tell me?"

The both remained silent, both of them exchanging a worried and remorseful expression.

"Scott?" I shook my head slightly at him.

He looked back at me, his face full of sadness and shame. He knew he was in the wrong, but I just didn't understand why he wouldn't have told me.

I shook my head, not wanting to believe any of this. I grabbed my bag and dead pool from the table and walked out.

Neither of them called after me.

"Where is that son of a bitch?" I shouted barging right into Derek's loft.

"Someone certainly enjoys making an entrance," Peter said, sarcasm lacing his words. He just stood from his seat on the couch and turned around to see me staring at him. My arms were crossed and by the expression on my face, I was in no mood for jokes. I had the dead pool crumbled up in my right hand.

He rolled his eyes, "And what do I owe the pleasure, Lainy?" He smirked cynically.

"Have you known this entire time?"

"Known what?" He asked.

"That I'm your daughter." I stated.

His face went blank, the color draining completely. He looked tense as he tried to find the words to respond with.

Finally, he sighed, his eyes looking to the floor. That's all I needed for an answer.

The truth had come out.

"You did...didn't you? And you didn't even bother to tell me. Did you not think that it was important enough for me to know?"

He paused for a long time, before his eyes met back up to mine. This time they were softer, sincerer. Something that I never thought I would see.

"It was never my intention to see you again, Elaine." He stated.

I was stunned at how harsh his words sounded. They almost hurt me, they sounded cold. Why should they even effect me like that?

"But this entire time, you knew I was your daughter and you didn't say a thing?" I inquired, still confused and hurt about the entire thing. I couldn't seem to wrap my head around what was happening. "Unbelievable."

"Well what did you expect?" He asked, his voice growing louder.

I opened my mouth to answer, but I didn't have one.

"Did you think that we would jump into father-daughter bonding? Make up for all the family time that we've missed out on?" He said, his voice sounding colder with each word.

"You're not worth any of my time." I scoffed, "I just want to know why. Why did you leave mom and I?" I questioned, my voice on the verge of shaking.

Peter, again, paused looking me directly in the eye while he was trying to answer the question that was burning in my mind.

"I'm a bad guy, Elaine. I'm not someone you would want for a dad." He stated. "You and your mother deserved better than me."

I blinked rapidly, trying to rid myself of the tears. I didn't want to show Peter how badly he is affecting me.

"But that doesn't mean I never loved you or your mother, because I do-"

"Don't." I warned, crossing my arms over my chest and stepping back.

Derek slowly descended from the staircase, curious as to why there was so much yelling. He looked at me and then his eyes slowly trailed over to Peter. His eyes lit up and he immediately understood what had just happened.

"You knew too, didn't you?" I asked in amusement knowing that I was right, narrowing my eyes at Derek as he walked closer to me.

He nodded his head, and I could smell the guilt radiating from his body.

"From the minute I saw you, I knew you were a Hale."

I stared at him in disbelief, hurt that he hadn't told me after knowing for so long. It's funny that the people I had put my trust into, kept this immense secret from me.

I let a scoff escape my mouth, all this was implausible to the point where I couldn't even wrap my head around it all. I felt lost.

"Lainy-" Peter began to step toward me.

"No, d-don't call me that!" I spat at him, taking a step back away from both Peter and Derek. "You're not my dad. And you never will be."

And with that I stormed out of the loft, my shoulders pulled back tightly. I wanted to mask the hurt that I felt with confidence and strength. Though this news was like a bomb going off. I knew it was coming, but I didn't know how ugly the aftershock would be.

All I wanted was honesty and confidence, but I was searching in all the wrong places. I couldn't trust anyone. My life had turned into a tangled web of lies over the course of only a few months, and I have never felt so betrayed.

I keep thinking about Scott though. The sad and guilt-stricken look that was on his face when I left only caused my heart to crumble within me.

I finally was able to collect myself as the tears stopped falling and my breathing was steadier. I wiped my eyes one last time before exiting the car and walking up the stairs to my house.

I opened the door and saw my uncle sitting on the couch, working on something for his job.

"Elaine?" He called out, knowing it was me but just checking.

He knew. He knew about Peter. He knew and he didn't tell me.

"Hi," I answered not moving from the hallway.

He looked over at me, and put his glasses on his head.

"Is everything alright?"

"You knew."

"Knew what?" He asked sitting up more on the couch and furrowing his eyebrows at me.

"About Peter."

His face went blank, and needless to say, he was at a complete loss for words.

I let out a shaky sigh and felt myself tearing up again.

"You were never supposed to know," my Uncle finally said sitting up from the couch.

I nodded my head slowly. I didn't like the feeling of having this secret kept from me, from more than one person.

"How did you find out?"

"The dead pool." I answered shortly.

"The what?"

"The supernatural dead pool," I repeated feeling myself getting choked up with sobs again, "You're on it too." I cried, no longer able to suppress the tears anymore, and he quickly walked over to me.

My legs fell weak and my sobs grew louder and my uncle collected me in his arms.

"People are trying to kill you. People are trying to kill my friends."
