"Nandini ! " mukti's voice got her out of her thought , her body still stiff trying to register what had happened a few minutes back
" what's wrong ? why are you standing here like a statue ?" she continued
" N...no...nothing , why ? " nandini stammered
" cabir just got a great idea of what to do about the parents problem " mukti informed
" great ... lets go then " nandini replied looking at the door from where manik had stormed out
" are you sure you're ok ? " she asked
" I am fine mukti " nandini replied
" ok then , come . By the way have you seen manik anywhere ? " she asked
" NO !! Why do you think I would've seen him ?! " nandini shrieked
" relax nandu , I am just asking , I have been looking all around that's why I asked , why are you so shrieked ? " she questioned
" nothing . I don't feel too well I guess " she replied and sat along with the group
" so cabir , I heard u got an idea... " nandini mentioned
" yup , I saw the bar and it reminded me of what you did..." he said

Manik's P.O.V
I had lost all control over myself and I just held nandini and kissed her and to my surprise she kissed back , I cant handle it anymore . every single day she keeps pushing me away and I just don't know what more I could do , I pulled back and stormed out of the club and I have no idea where I was going but I didn't want to stop , and I didn't know why but I just came to the beach , watching the waves would always bring me to peace but today I felt like something was burning me inside and when nothing helped I got my phone out of my pocket and did the one thing that always calms me down.
" hello ? "
" manik , are you ok ? iss time ? " mom asked worriedly and I sniffed wiping my tears
" manik... are you crying ? " she asked
" what happened , is he ok ? " I heard dad asking from the back
" she hates me maa.." I whispered trying hard not to cry
" she doesn't my love " she consoled
" toh meri baat kyun ni samajhti woh... " I mumbled
" manik..."
" she asks me to prove that I didn't cheat on her , cant she tell by looking in my eyes that I didn't ! " I yelled shedding a few tears
" manik... you told me all what happened with her mom right ? she barely trusts people , you yourself told me that , manik I know she isn't giving you a chance but just think about the fact that she too is a broken soul , do you think it is easy to live knowing the fact that the one person you loved and trusted cheated on you even though I know you didn't and somewhere or the other I know she does too but her mind is just not letting her accept that " she explained
" if you would ask me to I can talk to her for you but then it would be forcing her right ? and we don't wanna do that , haina bacha ? " she asked
"yeah..."
" what do I do now ? " I asked wiping tears
" manik do you think she's the one ? your forever ? " mom asked
" she is.." I mumbled
"then you can do two things 1, give up and let her go or 2, you can fight for it till you get your love back . I leave the choice up to you " she said
" I'll fight mom...even if it takes forever " I whispered
" that's like my strong boy " she said
" did you get anything out of Soha's mother of her whereabouts ?" I asked
"she wont pick my calls and she didnt even let me in her house having her servant say that she's not home , I went two days back as well but they told me she is travelling , that bit.... anyways dont worry your dad is trying his best , you leave that to us love you just focus on nandini " she said
" yeah.."
" do you want to come home ? should I come ? where are you ? " she asked
" I'm fine now maa , thanks , aap so jao ab sorry I disturbed you at this ti..."
" thappar khao ge ? ab ghar jao and sleep , I'll see you in college tomorrow " she chuckled
"Not that I am concerned or anything but how is Harshad , its been long Ive seen him poking his nose in my business" i mocked
"Manik , behave ! He's your elder brother " mom growled
"Yeah yeah i am sorry " I replied
"He's ok , in Ontario right now he has some official work there" she informed
"Ok , I'll head home now" i said
" goodnight " she wished and i headed back home
I got in and there was silence yet the lights were on i guessed she was back home when i heard loud noises from kitchen
"What do you think you're doing ?" I asked
"Uhm .....I ......uhhh" she stammered
"What makes you think you can just talk to me so casually after what u did back at the club" she growled
"You kissed back !" I replied
" uh....i....uhmm I was drunk ! " she said
"You still are " I i interrupted
"Everyone makes mistakes when they're drunk" she said and I smirked
"Well in that case i was drunk too and people as you put it , make mistakes when they're drunk" I replied
"You.."
"What are your doing in here destroying my kitchen " I interrupted
"Its my kitchen too" she spat
"Yeah only when you wanna lit the house on fire , now would you please tell me why ur banging the pans?" I asked
"I am really hungry " she pouted and i sighed
"Move aside" i breathed
"No need I'll do it on my own" she replied
"Rice boil krne ke liye jitna pani hota hai na usme tum maggie banati ho toh yeh 'I'll do it on my own' rehne do " i said and started cooking
" what the he.."
" on the table nandini " i said dominantly nothing scary or insensitive but heavy enough to let her know that arguing would be pointless
"Fine" she muttered and helped herself to a seat while i fixed up a sandwich for her
"Here" i said keeping the plate in front of her and to my surprise she actually ate something i made
"Eat properly and then straight to bed" i said and she i guess didn't even pay a heed
"Thanks" she said
"Just doing my job" I replied
"What job ?" She asked
"Fulfilling your wishes " I replied and she chuckled sarcastically
"Off course... my wishes" she look the other way and I chose to not bother her at that time
She got up and left for her room slamming the door behind her , i felt shattered but its ok I'll keep trying for as long as possible because you don't give up on love and she is worth it ...
