“I have a really important question for you,” Niall said, breaking the silence in the room.
You weren’t much in the mood for talking, considering the circumstances. This was Niall’s last day of visiting you before he would have to go back to London for work. You’d done all you could to make the best of the past week, and now it was finally time for him to leave, and you dreaded this more than anything. He would be leaving for the airport later that night.
“Go ahead,” You said with a nod, avoiding eye-contact with him, because you knew you’d break if that were to happen.
“Chantelle,” He started, leaning closer to you and folding his fingers together. “The last thing I want to do is leave you. So, I was thinking, there really isn’t anything keeping you here, is there? Darling, why don’t you come back to London with me? My place is small but I know we could make it work. I love you so much and I’m tired of being away from you.”
Your eyes trailed up to his, and you couldn’t help the smile that tugged at your lips. “But, Niall,” You sighed. “I don’t want to be in the way of-”
Niall interrupted you, placing a hand on top of yours. “It is not possible for you to ever be in the way of anything. I want to come home to you, every day.”
“I’d like that too,” You smiled shyly. His eyes sparkled and he leaned in even closer, softly pecking your lips.
“Then come with me, yeah? You won’t regret it, London’s a wonderful place and it’ll be even better if you’re there with me,” He whispered against your lips.
“I couldn’t say no to you, Horan, even if I wanted to,” You smirked. “So, yes, I’d be honored to move in with you in London.”
He took your hands in his and pulled you to your feet. “Well, come on, then. We’ll need to be at the airport in just a few hours.”
He led you to your bedroom and helped you pack. You couldn’t help but think about how thrilled you were that you would no longer have to be without Niall. Now you could look forward to seeing him everyday. You looked over at Niall and smiled up at him. He stopped when he noticed you staring, and he pulled you into his arms before pressing a kiss to your forehead.
