Eva
"How is she doing?" I said into the phone. Princess was currently with my mother and father. Upon me returning to work I need someone to watch her. Kavon started doing certain things dealing with his business during the day. Leaving him to only watch her only a couple of days out of the week.
"Fine, getting into any little thing she lays her hands on.. now Eva baby go back to work, she's okay" My mother reassured me then hung up the phone. After exhaling, I prepared my document to be put in my briefcase. Their were two meetings I had schedule today. My mind really hasn't been in this company lately, I still have a passion for Vogue but it just feels as if I am not here. After placing the Starbucks Mocha back on my desk, I began to get restless. I decided on calling Kavon.
"Hello?"
"Baby, what's up?"
I exhaled "Uh, nothing just working you?"
"On my way to get Mackenzie from your parents.."
"Damn, I wish I could get off early"
"Baby you'll be fine, you are just use to being around Princess all the time..." He sighed "Princess is six months now.. breath a little aight?"
"Okay.."
"I'll see you at two.. I love you"
"I love you too, kiss my baby for me"
The call ended and I place my elbows on my desk with my hand in between my hands. In my twenty eight years on this earth I have nothing felt so clingy to a child, I guess that is because it is my child. Mother hood is such a beautiful good thing, it is bitter sweet and I wouldn't trade it in for the world. There was a knock on my office and I granted them access. The mail man came in a dropped off a few envelopes of mail. One from my boss, a design coordinator and another from an unknown source. I scrunched my eyebrows in curiosity as I placed the others on my desk paying attention to the unknown mail.
It was a Manila envelope, this was sent to me from "K Kuts". K Kuts sounds familiar as hell. After opening the mail there were enlarged photos. The first was all black, I placed all pictures down after getting frustrated looking at the first. I observed a muscular hand, a gun, a orange suite. I was getting confused as hell. Then, I figured out to connect the pictures to see if there was a bigger picture to be mad. I stood up from my desk and observed the picture that was laying in front of me and shook my head.
I cussed under my breath "The hell"
Kavon
"Wahhhhhhh" I heard Princess yell. I finished the chip I was eating then looked at her extending her hand. After shaking my finger at her I told her she couldn't eat this. As if she knew what I said she hollered out. Which caused me to pick her up. I went into the refrigerator and got her a cup of peaches, she'll just eat that. After sitting her on the couch, I drained the juices from the peach cup and gave it to her. She can eat with her fingers.
Princess can't walk yet, but she sure be trying sometimes. All she do is crawl around and get into things. Which is why we had to baby proof the entire house last month. I glanced at the time then exhaled, Eva should be here anytime. Princess began to crawl up to me and cry. I exhaled, this girl has me wrapped around her finger already.
"What's wrong Princess?" I said as I kissed her cheek. She placed her head on my shoulder then exhaled deeply. Just as I got comfortable on the couch with Mackenzie in my arms, I heard the sound of Eva's heels clicking through the hallway until she was in our sight.
She smiled "Hey baby.. look at my baby" She cooed at Princess as she came over to pick her up but not after giving me a kiss on the lips.
Eva began planting kisses on Mackenzie as she smiled and giggled. "So what's up with you?"
Mackenzie laid on her shoulder. I looked towards Eva as her and Mackenzie both looked towards me. I sighed "Nothing, I had a meeting with some attorneys because someone that was drunk fell off the stage at the club"
Eva laughed "Wh-what"
I rubbed my hands over my waves "Exactly, shit crazy"
"Well, looks my baby is sleepy, I'll lay her down real quick" Eva said before going upstairs. Eva came back down stairs in about twenty minutes with her work clothes off. She had her hair in a pony tail, with a shirt and leggings on. I motioned for her to sit in my lap and she did prior to placing her head on my shoulder.
"Babe" She spoke.
"Yes my love?"
"What if I told you I was pregnant?"
I gasped "Shut the hell up" If Eva was pregnant again, I honestly don't know what I would do.
"I am just playing, don't nobody want to get pregnant by yo' ugly ass anyway" She laughed as I wrapped my arms around her waist.
"Um, what is sleeping upstairs..?" Eva got quiet. "Exactly" I rubbed in her face then focused my attention of the leggings she had on then licked my lips.
"Babe, tell me why Sparkle sleeps in Mackenzie's room?" Eva pointed out.
"Maybe she likes being in her room" I replied and she nodded her head. She pecked my lips, I couldn't help but to deepen it by adding my tongue into it.
"Noo, K not now.. I have something for you" She said giving me one last peck then smirking.
"When can I get this something?" I questioned.
She thought "hm, it's a surprise!" I rolled my eyes then exhaled. I looked at her as she laughed to herself a bit.
"What is so funny?"
She catched her breath "Remember on our supposedly first date, I pointed your gun at you... I was scared as hell" She laughed so more then exhaled.
"Funny thing is the shit was still on safety" I busted out laughing and she hit my arm. My baby laughed then cuddled back on me.
Eva
I don't know if I want to ask Kavon about the pictures. What if he is not comfortable talking about what he doesn't with me. My question is why would someone send me those photos? Was is to make me leave him? Before Kavon and I got together, well I found out what he does for a living and I took the challenge of battling with the choice. I am obviously still here, we are engaged, and have a child together so whoever did that little charades failed horribly.
After Princess woke up from her nap, I glanced at the time is it only four. I began to change her and put her on a new onesie. I was able to accomplish I few house wifely things as she slept. Like the laundry. I had to change the sheets on Kavon and I's bed. Some of Kavon's things needed to be washed. When I finished laundry I went ahead and made something to eat. Grilled chicken, fettuccine.. with a bacon cheddar tossed salad.
"Is that a new tattoo?" I asked while observing his arms. Kavon had the Ray Bans sitting on the top of his head. I couldn't help but to notice how sexy he looked while he was serious.
"Yeah, I decided to get Mackenzie's name a little below my shoulder" He replied still looking at them papers.
"Oh yeah Pharah is coming over" I reminded him as I began walking out the office.
After about twenty minutes Pharah was finally over and we were in the theater eating ice cream. I noticed how she was eating ice cream and left over Alfredo.
"Are you ok?" I asked with my eyebrows lifted.
"Yeah" She replied. I looked down and Princess was crawling around the covers that were on the floor. I brought out my phone, going to the camera. After putting the flash on I took a picture of her while the cover was on her head as she smiled trying to get it off. My phone continued to light up with continuous notification from Instagram with people like and commenting on the picture of Princess.

I smiled then focused my attention back on Princess who had crawled up to Pharah.
"Daaaa" Princess screamed, which cause my head to turn towards the door to see Kavon walking through. He picked her up then sat on the couch beside me.
"Y'all are such a cute family" Pharah cooed with a smile as I laugh a bit to my self.
"Why she sticky?"
I grabbed the baby wipe "because she was eating ice cream" I wiped her sticky hands then her cheeks.
"You gone give daddy kissy's?" K asked Princess. She smiled then he began to plant kisses on her. The way Kavon and Mackenzie interact is priceless. I took a picture then uploaded that on Instagram also.
The photos I have gotten earlier today have slipped my mind. After Pharah left I asked him about it. He wanted to see the photos.
"What the hell?"
"That's what I said" I replied.
"This is old shit.." He said as he tossed the photos on the bed then got up with his phone. Slamming the balcony door he put his phone to his ear. I looked down and Mackenzie was sound asleep in out bed. I crawled in beside her on got placed her on the pillow. After grabbing the remote I pulled the covers up to my chest then seen Kavon mouth the words"Take care of that shit" then come inside.
My attention was back on the TV. "Why she not in her room?" Kavon asked as he made his way to his closet.
"Because, she is going to cry..."
"She is sleep, Spoiling her already, ice cream and sleeping in a king size bed at six months" He chuckled then went to the bathroom.
"I know you not talking, she is always in your arms"
"Well you see, that doesn't count.."
He came back into the room and came to bed. Princess was still sleeping in the middle of us. I passed Kavon the remote so he could watch something. Kavon stays up most of the night while I like my sleep. If I had to stay up I will. Somehow Mackenzie got on Kavon's chest. I just continue to lay down but I couldn't get those pictures out my head. Was that person trying to tell me something.
