Cold

Zayn:
Lavishing me in kisses from hip to collar bones, Zayn moved back up next to me, wrapping me in his arms. "The snow storm isn't letting up," I whispered, looking to the window. "Good thing we're in here. Toasty warm," Zayn grinned, kissing my neck. "What was your best snow day?" He laughed and looked away in what I assumed was a deep thought. "My best snow day? I think it was when me and Waliyha were outside on the sled when I was about 10. I mean there were no hills, but we dragged each other around taking turns. I remember because of how old that damn sled was. Deep red and chipped along the sides," He smiled again at the memory, "I made tracks all over the yard, but my parents didn't care because the snow was so high. Then Waliyha was complaining about how she was feeling dizzy 'cause of how fast I was going. So we went in and watched some old cartoons. I'll never forget that day." "Sounds too great not to remember," I mumbled, kissing his chest. "I'll never forget this night either. Too great to forget."

Louis:
Louis kept on apologizing and pleading about how he couldn't make his flight out, but I knew it would happen. The storm wasn't letting up at all. I loved the snow, but it was so inconvenient giving the time Louis was coming home for Christmas and his birthday. I knew he could get a later flight, but the point was he couldn't come home tomorrow, making my spirits sink slightly. A part of me knew something would come in the way "It's okay Lou. I understand," I responded glumly. "It's not (Y/N). I wish I could be there right now, but the damn airport and my schedule is just-" I told him to something else to lighten the mood, and we ended the phone call with our "I love you" and "Call you tomorrow". I woke up to the snow lightly falling, reminding me of the beauty in winter. If only Louis could be here. As I was making a cup of coffee, a pair of arms wrapped around me, and I froze. "Save me a mug?" I turned quickly, and wrapped Louis in my arms. He was here. Home. Even though the cold threatened to keep us apart.

Niall:
It's nothing like this in my hometown. I mean we get chilly, but never like this," I yelled against the wind. He held out a brown-gloved hand, and I took it. "Niall." "(Y/N). Great to meet you like this, all shivering and chattering." He laughed at my comment, and invited me for a cuppa at the local coffee-shop. "I mean, I don't wanna intrude on anyone-" He laughed and spoke again, "Dear, you aren't intruding anything. It's just me and my friend Liam. I'm actually meeting him there. C'mon. He'll love 'ya." Somehow, that warming smile let me in. Even though we barely knew each other, he put his coat on me, trying to keep me warm. "Oh no-" "Trust me love. I'm alright with getting cold. I've lived in this me whole life." We met up at the shop, and it was a great time. They were both so warm and inviting, they seemed so alien. The cold was still nipping at my skin, but Niall kept insisting I held the jacket around me. It was very warm and helped stop the chattering of my teeth. It smelled like iron and cinnamon. I wondered if Niall actually smelt that way while Liam was talking about his adventure of the day. When Liam hugged me and told me to definitely see them both again, I obliged. "Of course." When Niall escorted me out, we exchanged info, and I went on my way. Realizing I still had his coat around my body, I ran back to return it. "Keep it! Sure fire way to see you again," He winked.

Harry:
"Mum, we're inside," Harry laughed as I bolted for the closet with all of Anne's best blankets. Of course she brought her cherished quilts to our little family get together, along with her great cooking. "She must be out with Gemma or my folks," I chattered, trying to find warmth. "C'mon." Harry fixed us two cups of peppermint tea, and sat us next to the fireplace with the blankets. The flames danced , making the scene in front of my eyes even more beautiful. "So, you liking the Alps?" "If by like, you mean love," I grinned, searching into the fire once again. His eyes were still trained on my face as I was looking away, but he turned my head and leaned in. I wasn't sure how my heart could beat so hard in my chest. Before the chaste touch of our lips, I noticed a tiny freckle on his nose. What I didn't notice was we were both holding our breath until we actually kissed. But it wasn't what the kiss was like that mattered. It was Harry and I, sharing a petite but perfect moment, huddled under three patches of blankets. His nose didn't bump into mine. We didn't wander around with our hands, finding forbidden locations on each others' bodies. It was just a kiss. A magical expression shared by two. My hands were pressed so hard to my mug of tea when we were kissing, I thought I would break the hunk of porcelain myself. When we parted, his mouth still stayed inches away, making my heart thump faster. "I just thought you were still a little cold." I grinned, and kissed him once more before I said, "Well you definitely helped keep me warm."

Liam:
Once Liam and I were warm enough, we settled on playing in the snow. I didn't know why, but I found myself lying on the ground, watching the beauty around me. Winter in its best, snow covering every inch of the sky and ground beneath it. "You're gonna get frostbite if you don't get out of that snow. You've been in there for a good twenty minutes," Liam yelled as I watched the sky from my field of white. "You worry too much! Join me." Knowing he couldn't refuse, he lied beside me, the blue fuzzy cap I loved nested on his head. "I never should've gotten my hair cut. The wind is really picking up," He mumbled looking up. "Oh don't be so grumpy," I joked, scooting closer to him. The wind took a couple minutes of its fury and settled down, leaving the curls in my hair to move in my face. I laughed and sat up, trying to gently pry them away. As I was, Liam sat beside and helped me, taking every individual curl in his gloves and moved them away from my cheeks. "Your cheeks are pink." I laughed at his observation, and gave him a tender peck on the mouth. As we were kissing, Liam slid his hand on the snow covered ground and he slipped, taking me with him. I was left laying on top of him, giggling like an idiot. "I love that laugh. Even though falling on my back caused it," He chuckled.
