Author's Note: I hope you like my story! Feel free to voice your opinion, ask any questions and point out any mistakes I make.
Saber's POV
"You!" I growl menacingly and slowly walk forward, seeing what that Warrior will do. I knew as soon as I met him that he wasn't to be trusted, and here's proof! I bet Queen Cora ordered him to move Nia because of the attack.
He is not getting past me.
I stand still a bit in front of him, continuously growling with Ivy. I look at Nia, she seems to be knocked out. Her body has become skinnier than before, even just over the span of 4 days. Every inch of her beautiful skin is marred by deep gashes and dark bruises. If he caused any of this, he will die.
The young Dark Warrior looks between me and Ivy, obviously very frightened.
"You want Nia, right?" He shakily asks. I nod and glare at him. He takes a deep breath before adding "I will put her down, but please don't kill me. I was helping her I swear, I got her out of the torture room that the queen kept her in. I am telling the truth, I swear!" As a sign of peace, or that he's telling the truth, he places Nia gently on the floor and backs away.
Releasing my rage, I roar, shift out of my tiger form and pin this unknown Warrior against the wall.
"Why should I believe you?" I yell angrily. "You work for the Dark Earth Queen, the woman that did that" I gesture to Nia lying on the floor "to Nia! How do I know I can trust you? You could have been on your way to take Nia to your master like a good lapdog and just came up with a quick lie about you helping her!"
"Saber!" I hear a voice croak behind me. My rage dissipates, leaving it to be no more than slight anger. Turning around, I rush over to her side.
"Nia! You're okay!" Happy tears stream from my eyes.
Nia's POV
I wake up to see Saber pinning the Warrior that got me out of those chains against the wall, and I slightly freak.
"Saber!" I shout as strong I can muster, but with my very weak state, I can barely speak, let alone yell. Thankfully, he immediately calms down, visible in the way his shoulders relax, and he turns around to look at me with such love and happiness in his eyes. He lets the Dark Warrior go, and kneels next to me.
"Nia! You're okay!" He exclaims, and is careful not to touch my body.
Of course he's seen the scratches and bruises through the most recent shabby, short dress that Cora has forced me into. With her torture, my clothes got shredded. I got new ones, and they got shredded as well. It wasn't fun.
"Saber, he helped me. Don't hurt him, please." I softly say, not wanting to hurt my throat too much.
"Shhh, it's okay Nia, we'll get you out of here, don't worry about it. I won't hurt him, but if he hurts you, all bets are off." Saber replies with a massive grin. He bends down and kisses me gently and briefly, but very sweetly.
"Take me home?" I ask, lifting my arms, indicating I want to be picked up. Saber chuckles lightly, and cradles me in his arms as gently as he can do he doesn't hurt me.
"Of course."
I snuggle deeply into his chest, enjoying the comfort I've wanted to feel for the whole time I've been stuck here. My eyes start to feel heavy, so I have to request one final thing before I fall asleep. I feebly point to the Dark Warrior that saved me and command
"Take him too." I know Saber heard, since I feel his body tense, but after a bit he relaxes again. I know that Saber will bring the Warrior to wherever we go next as well. With that thought, I fall peacefully asleep, a smile on my face.
Ivy's POV
I stay as a tiger just in case the Dark Warrior tries something, but thankfully he doesn't. I'm already tired of fighting, and I've barely been apart of it. Saber talks a bit to Nia then picks her up, walks forward a bit, then stops. I had started to follow him, but I stop as well, confused by his behavior. I walk up next to him and ask
"What's going on?"
"Nia wants us to bring him with us. He got her out of the room she was in." Saber growls, clearly not happy about it.
"Do you not trust him?" I ask, wondering why he is acting so harshly. If he saved Nia, we're cool.
"No! Not at all, he's a Dark Warrior! Who knows what he's capable of, and will do! I don't trust him with Nia, but she seems to trust him." Saber sighs "I don't understand why. But, I trust her judgement, and she's an excellent judge of character most of the time, so I will tolerate him." Switching to human speak, Saber looks at the Dark Warrior who hasn't moved, whistles and practically shouts
"Hey, you! You're coming with us. Keep up." With that, Saber starts walking down the hallway. I turn into my human form to talk to the Warrior more, and follow after Saber, stepping in line with the stranger that saved my sister.
"First off, from me and Saber, thank you for saving Nia. She is everything to us." I say.
"No need to thank me, she seems like a very nice person." The Warrior replies
"Have you met her before?"
"Yes, actually. It was when we were ordered to find Nia, and the Dark Hounds trailed her scent to her village. I didn't kill her, and in return she didn't kill me, and she kinda sorta forced me to help her drag all of the unconscious Warriors out of her village." We both chuckle, and I reply
"Sounds... interesting."
"It definitely was." A comfortable silence stretches out between us before I speak again.
"So, what's your name?"
"My name is Ian, but most people who know me call me Inferno. It's because I'm originally from the elements realm, and obviously I control fire and light, hence the nickname Inferno. You can call me either you wish, I don't mind either way."
"Okay then, Inferno. I'm Ivory, but I prefer Ivy. There isn't a reason behind it, I just do."
"Alright Ivy, it's nice to meet you." We smile and shake hands, still following Saber.
Queen Cora's POV
"What?" I yell at the pathetic messenger boy who told me of the attack. "Not only have most of my Dark Warriors fallen, but my prisoner was rescued? What are you all doing, lying down and waiting to be killed?" I groan in irritation, starting to pace around my luxurious bedroom.
I am surrounded by idiots.
"I-I-I am so sorry my Queen! Tell me what to do, and I will do it!" The boy stutters, trying too hard to want to please me. But, this pathetic waste of a human might actually be useful for my escape.
"Get the escape car ready, then come to get me, and drive me to the safe house." I command sharply. The boy bows, and runs out of the room. At least he's eager, and energetic. But, he still needs a little, no a lot, of common sense shoved into his pea sized brain.

Hey guys! Yay, Nia got rescued by Saber! But, are they out of the clear yet? Who knows? They haven't left the castle yet, maybe things will go badly, or maybe they'll be fine! You'll have to wait until tomorrow and the next chapter to see for yourself 😈 I know I'm just planting ideas into your minds now, and it's a lot of fun for my evil side.
Question:
Was the person that rescued Nia who you thought it was going to be, and what do you think of Cora, now that you got a little look in her mind?
Obviously I can't answer the first question, since I'm the author and knew who rescued Nia the whole time! But I don't like Cora, she is a witch with a capital B if you know what I mean 😉 sorry I'm being weird, but oh well! I'm always weird.
