You groaned as the noise outside woke you, rolling out of your bed; you opened the window, preparing yourself to yell, when you did a double-take. You rubbed your eyes to see that it truly was Niall Horan kicking a rock while walking down your street. You took a couple deep breaths, attempting to calm yourself. So much for that, you thought as you screamed, flailing your arms in the air like a lunatic.
You wasted no time in pulling your slippers over your feet and running as fast as you could. You swung the door open, hanging your head out the door to see his figure continuing down the street through the darkness. “Niall!” You screamed, trying not to be too loud. After all, it was pretty late.
He whipped around, trying to identify the voice that called his name. You ran down the steps, and hurried down the sidewalk after him. “Niall!” You called, waving your arms in the air. “Wait, wait!”
He stared at you with a funny look on his face as you tried to run with your slippers on- not the best idea. You finally caught up to him, your heart beating at record pace.
“Hi,” You choked out, bending over and resting your hands on your knees, trying to catch you breath.
“Hello?” He laughed, extending a hand to you. “What’s your name, darlin’?”
“Uh,” You lightly coughed, taking his hand. “I’m Natasha.”
“Nice to meet you,” He smiled. “You must be a fan.”
You shook your head, attempting to form a sentence clearly. “I’m…yea; I’m a b-big fan!”
“It’s a bit chilly out here,” He chuckled, rubbing his hands over his arms.
You nodded, your breath visible in the chilled night air. “Why, um, why are you here?”
He smiled, “Our hotel is just down the street. I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to take a quick little walk. I didn’t expect to see any fans out at this time!”
You laughed, looking down at your pajamas. “Well, I wasn’t really expecting to see you out here, either!”
He giggled, running his fingers through his hair. “Hey, you wanna walk with me? I mean, if you can…”
You sprang up, joining him. “I’d love to!” You exclaimed with a hushed tone, constantly reminding yourself that the rest of your neighborhood was asleep.
So, you and Niall continued down the street, exchanging a nice conversation with each other until the sun came up. You actually learned a lot about him, and after awhile, it felt natural to be talking to him. You didn’t feel so weird anymore; it was just like talking to any of your friends.
