He smiled noticing the changes in him , how he was acting like a teenager having his first crush , well he was no different , it was his first crush , his first love , with her everything would be a first and hopefully the last as well

He closed his eyes the one last time while singing, because he knew who he'd see and he won't have to close his eyes while singing again because that is the only face he wants to see whether his eyes were closed or open

It happened ! Her face flashed into his eyes as soon as he closed his chocolaty orbs , there she was , smiling , giggling , dancing in the rain

And his eyes shot open with a huge smile on his face , he didn't need any more proofs to tell himself that she is the one , the one he's been waiting for , all these years of his life

He ended his song wrapped up his stuff and almost stormed to his place , oops their place ! He quickly rushed up to their floor and got in his apartment to see her sitting on the floor leaned with the couch fully engrossed in books and papers all around
"Hey you're back !" She exclaimed and he couldn't stop smiling
"Yeah !" He replied and sat on the couch
"How was you day ?" She asked as she got up to sit beside me
"Amazing ! What are you doing ?" He asked
"Your math project !" She said as she got the papers together and handed them to me
"All done !" She exclaimed
"You're done with 5 chapters in about 6 hours ? How ? Have you been working ever since you came back home ?" He asked
"Okay Mr malhotra relax ! It's fine waise bhi kal main busy hun so I had to get these done today !" She replied
"But you could have left it na , I would have managed !" Manik sighed
"Oye I would allow nobody absolutely nobody to take music away from you , be it your math professor or your mom " she said with a chuckle and he just took her in his embrace protectively
"Thank you !" He whispered not for the project but for the fact that she came into his life to turn it upside down in so my amazing ways
"Why are you busy tomorrow ? valentine's pe koi bakra mil gaya hai to go on a date with ?" He mocked her as they got done with dinner
"Ha ha ha very funny , mujhe navya ki help karni hai cabir is taking her out , so I'll bring here till evening !" She informed
"Great !" Manik exclaimed
"You're happy about me not being around , seriously ?" She asked
"No no no that's not what I meant , I meant that it's great that cabir is taking navya out on a date !" He said
"Yeah at least unlike so e people!" She sighed
"Oh so you want me to take you out on a date ?" Manik teased
"Oh please ! I don't want to spend my valentine's with you annoying me !" She smirked
"So now I annoy you ?" He yelled making and akimbo
"What else have you been doing since the past 3 months ?" She mocked
"Acha you want me to remind you ?" He teased
"Yes please !"
"Well what about dealing with your tantrums , cooking for you keeping you warm in my arms when you're cold , carrying you whenever you ask me too , singing for you , kissing you , cuddling you every night , calling you beautiful everyday and the list can go on for a really long time miss.murthy !" Manik smirked and she smiled and hopped in his arms as he hugged her tight
"Chalo off to bed now !" Manik said as he kissed her forehead and switched if the lights of her room and went to his room and called cabir
"Hey sup dude !itni raat ko meri yaad aayi , dekh manik i am straight yaar" Cabir exclaimed
"Chup be joker ! Ab sun..." manik said as they talked for about 20 minutes when nandini entered his room
"Cabir I'll call you back in morning ok ! I got to go " he said as he bid a quick bye to him and ended the call
"What happened ?" He asked as he sat up on his bed looking at her standing at the door , she walked up to him and pushed him back as she lay down over him resting her head on his chest
"i couldnt sleep !" She mumbled on his chest as her hands locked his waist
"Good night !" He whispered as he turned off his side lamp and kissed her hair to which she smiled as he held her tighter and dozed off

She woke up in his bed all alone , he wasn't there but before she could get out of bed the door of the room swung open and he walked in , yeah shirtless ! , she blushed looking at him as he walked in with a tray in his hand but placed it on the side table and embraced her in a hug
"Happy valentine's day !" He whispered on her neck
"Happy valentine's day to you too !" She replied with a huge smile and he ruffled her hair
"Here you go !" He smiled as he placed the tray in front of her
"Damn manik this is so adorable !" She exclaimed
"Chalo at least madam Is happy !" He sighed
"But what is all this ?" She asked
"Well breakfast in bed , don't you know ?" He mocked
"Manik ! , I meant why did you do so much ?" She asked
"Well as I would not be able to take you out on some magical romantic date because you're busy and I am busy so a compensation " he said and she chuckled
"Then I guess I need to compensate as well !" She giggled
"Yes offcourse !" He smirked and she pulled him close and gave him a tight , long kiss on his cheek and one could easily tell that he blushed
"Hissab barabar !" She said and chuckled and anyone could tell that he was blushing as they finished their breakfast and nandini got ready un a beautiful red dress which looked breathtakingly amazing and manik was stunned when he came out of the room
"Woah !" He exclaimed
"What ?" She asked innocently
"You look phenomenal !" He answered
"Thank you !"
"So you're going to help navya huh ?" He asked
"Yea. .yeah !" She replied
"I'll miss you though !" He said
"And I won't !" She smirked as she grabbed her bag , ruffled his hair and pulled his cheek
"See you in the evening manik !" She exclaimed as she left
"See you in the evening !" He yelled back
"Well manik malhotra get to work you've got a lot to do !" Manik sighed to himself
7:00 p.m
Nandini was back after her work was done as she opened the door to her apartment and was shocked to the core
The floor was decorated with candles and rose petals all the way to the living room and she followed and to another surprise there was a mini table with 2 cushions in the living room with the perfect dinner setup
She was shocked to the core looking at all of this while he came out of the kitchen , looking flawless in the black v neck and a blazer with his still wet hair as he held two wine glasses between his fingers and a bottle of red wine in the other hand and placed it over the table and she was completely as trucked as he palms still covered her mouth and giggles not stopping for a single second
"Manik what all of this ?" She asked between a her giggle
"Be my date ?" He asked huskily as he extended a hand towards her and she happily held it as he walked her to their table and sat down for the great dinner
"So ?" She whispered
"So.." he whispered back
"You look amazing in red !" He exclaimed
"You are looking no less in black !" She replied and they smiled
"Happy valentine's day !" He exclaimed raising his glass and she did too
"Happy valentine's day !" She said with an ear to ear smile , it was
"when did you do all of this ?" She asked
"Well when you were busy helping navya I asked cabir to come here and help me , so he decorated the living room while I made dinner " he replied
"This is beautiful manik , thank you " she exclaimed and held his hand
"Dance with me ?" He asked and she nodded as he turned on some really amazing song called "fanatsy" from the 90s as he held her close , moving to and fro with her
"This is so perfect !" She said as she stepped on his feet trying to match up his height while her hand held his shoulders firmly and he held her waist
"With you , every second is perfect !" He whispered in her ear as he placed a feather kiss on her neck
"Manik I...." she was about to say something when he stopped her by placing his finger on her lips
"Shh..give me a second !" He said as he went and closed the lights of the room
"Manik !" She called out in the dark as she instantly felt a hand oh hers , holding it tight , and all of a sudden the room lit up with fireflies as he opened the jar , she was mesmerized bu the glowing little creature all around her as she twirled around be teen them smiling like a kid but when she turned around , there he was , on one knee holding a box in his hand which had a silver infinity promise ring
"Manik !" She said with a deep happy sigh
"Nandini , i dont know whether this is the right time or not , I don't know if this your perfect moment or not but I want you to know that whatever he time or the situation is , if it's with you , it'll always be perfect to me , you know how much you really mean to me and if you don't then I promise , I'll remind you ever day ! I suck at words and especially when you're in front of me I go dumb ! I had prepared for a really long speech which I eventually forgot *chuckles* all I want to say right now is that , nandini your the reason of my smile now , you're my good morning and you're my good night , I can't sleep without you anymore, I can't eat without you anymore and I certainly don't know how to breath without you anymore , nandini ..... I love you ! Humesha " he said as his eyes were locked into hers
her vision was blurry due to the tears of joy , she wanted to hop in his arms and scream that she loves him as well
"Nandini..... say something" he said sheepishly
"Agar kahin saath le chalun toh chalo ge ?" She asked
"Abhi ?" He inquired and she nodded
"Chalo !" He agreed and and held her hand indicating her to
eat the way
They went down to a private cab already waiting for them
"I love you navya !" She mumbled
They got in and the driver ignited the engine , he kept asking her about where they were going but she didn't tell him
"Manik surprise ka meaning pata hai ?"
"You've planned a surprise for me ?" He asked
"Kyun surprise sirf tum de sakte ho ?" She smirked and he smiled
The whole way she was holding his hand tight in her tiny ones , he was just looking at her while she looked out of the window , the cold breeze touching them letting him wrap his arm around her with all his rights on her
"We're here !" She exclaimed after a long 2 hour drive away from the city
"Nandini hum kahan hain ?" He asked
"Shh put this on !" She said and handed him a blindfold
He wore it and she held his hand and started and started walking and he finally reached the destination
"Open !" She whispered and what he saw next left him dumbstruck , his eyes widened and a huge smile appeared on his face as he stood in front of a lake with a beautiful milky way night sky
"Nandini this is amaz..." he was saying as he turned around to witness a familiar sight but this time it was the stars instead of fireflies and this time it was nandini on her knees looking at him while he was trying to figure out the difference between a dream and reality
"Manik what happened back home was indescribable" she spoke looking down while she blushed
"You just told me that you loved me , do you know how long i have waited to hear those 3 magical words from you , everything feels so complete right now , I could have replied to your words back then but like you always treat me specially , you deserved to be treated specially as well !" She said and he smiled
"Nandini I..."
"Shh" she nodded in a no
"Manik you light up the darkness in my life , you are my ray of sunshine when the days are dark , I can't survive without the warmth of your arms anymore . I can't sleep until you hold me and I can't wake up until I hear your voice , you are the first person that I have loved and u'd be the last as well ... manik malhotra would you honour me by becoming my valentine for all the valentine days ahead for as long as I breath " she said with a sob and he bent down in front of her
"i am no one special manik , i am just another normal girl who loves you to an unimaginable extent.." She confessed as she looked up at him
"You dont know how special you are to me , i love you too nandini !" He confessed as he quickly pulled her in a bone crushing hug
"Here !" She said and handed him a box , he opened it to find a black and golden bracelet with manan written on it
"Manan ?" He asked
"Manik aur nandini !" She smiled
"i cant do this anymore !" He sighed
"What ?"
"Hold back !" He said as he placed his warm lips on hers without any warning , she was taken aback for a second but soon started responding , he sucked his lower lip with all his love while she was busy with his upper lip , he begged for entrance and she happily gave in as their breath mingled together and their tongues moved in sync with each other , her hands wrapped around his neck while his hands shamelessly roamed around her curves , they broke apart in the need of air and he quickly pecked her lips
once again as the joined their for heads just absorbing each others presence just then fireflies appeared out of now where and they smiled looking at them
"Humesha ?" She asked
"Humesha !" He promised
"Living with you was the best mistake of my life !" She said and they both chuckled
