*3rd Person's POV*

Kat straightened her dress and picked lint off of her black tights absentmindedly. Natasha and Steve sat in the front of the SUV while Loki rode in the backseat with Kat.

They were the only ones going into the club while Dr. Banner, Tony, and Logan sat in the team's van. Clint and Thor were going to be placed on the roof and alley behind the club.

Logan had kept telling Kat how he thought this was a bad idea, but she kept reminding him that they weren't going after Taylor tonight. Instead, they were tracking a man that he had come in contact with more than once who happened to own this very club.

Natasha parked in a free spot on the side of the road where other cars lined the streets. From there they walked down the street to the building with a neon sign that said, "Noch' Bandit."

"Night Bandit." Kat whispered under her breath.

"What?" Steve questioned, turning to look at her.

"Nothing." she dismissed it with a wave of her hand as they got into line for the entrance.

They had to get in to look for Taylor's accomplice and interrogate him. Kat wasn't sure if they were suppose to bring him to the Tower or do the interrogation in his own club. Natasha had said for her to follow her lead so that's what Kat had planned to do.

The line moved along quickly for them and they were being let into the club in no time. It being a Saturday night, the club was packed like a can of sardines. People were pushed up against the stage, where the DJ was, as they danced and the bar was busy with serving drinks to customers wanting to have a good time and forget the world for a little while.

Kat scrunched her nose as she spotted people making out against the walls and even in the middle of the dance floor.

'Love must be dead here. That, or they're remembering their high school days.' Kat thought as she turned her gaze from them.

Natasha caught her eyes and gave her a single nod, which Kat returned before Steve and Natasha walked towards one end of the club. Kat and Loki were suppose to cover the other end.

Kat thought about how great Natasha looked in her simple black, thigh length dress and how she looked in the wine colored one Natasha had lended her. There was no comparison in Kat's eyes, but in reality, the guys were surprised to see that she looked fantastic.

Loki couldn't keep his eyes off of her as he followed her in the crowd. He took her hand to keep track of her in the sea of people, oblivious to the slight pink color on Kat's cheeks.

They had to man the end with everyone dancing while Natasha and Steve took the bar and seated area. This meant that Kat and Loki would have to blend into the dancers.

'Relax,'  Kat reminded herself. 'This is nothing. You can dance. There's nothing to it, just go with the beat.'

But it didn't feel like nothing. Kat was nervous about looking like an idiot in front of these many people, especially since three of them were people she worked with. The DJ changed the song to one that Kat recognized, thanks to Gwen.

'Oh don't you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me. I said you're holding back, she said,'

Kat turned to Loki quickly as she sung along.

"Shut up and dance with me." Kat laughed as a look of horror crossed Loki's features briefly.

'This woman is my destiny...'

The song carried on as Kat sang along with the crowd that danced around them. Knowing that they needed to start blending in, Kat started dancing in what she hoped was the correct way. She moved her hips to the beat and tried to bring her shoulders into the mix as she held Loki's hand in hers still.

Loki followed suit, moving his hands to Kat's waist as she moved the hand he was holding to his shoulder, her other one moving her thick, almost black hair out of the way. As they danced Loki paid attention to the words Kat was singing, it was hard not to.

'Oh, we were bound to get together,

Bound to get together.'

Did it feel like they were suppose to be together? He was the only one who could give her relief from those headaches the Beast caused.

Loki quickly caught onto the lyrics and was singing the singer's part while Kat sang out the parts of the girl he met.

"'You're holding back.'" Loki sang, causing Kat to smile even more.

"'Shut up and dance with me!'" she replied.

'My discotheque, Juliet teenage dream.'

Juliet? Really? Loki thought Kat was more beautiful than Juliet could have been.

Loki suddenly felt like they were being watched and turned to look around. Kat grabbed his chin gently and turned him to look back at her as she sang, "'Oh, don't you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me.'"

"'You're holding back.'"

"'Shut up and dance with me!'"

After the chorus played once more, it was over and another song replaced it which Kat thought was called, 'Honey, I'm Good.' They danced to the song, and the next, and the next, all while looking around for the owner sneakily. Tony had been able to find a picture of Taylor and the man meeting. He enhanced the photo so they had a clear picture of who they were looking for.

When the song ended the DJ picked up the microphone to speak into, "This next song is dedicated to a special couple out there that your friends think you will like. All they said is, 'Love Spandex and Widow.'"

Turning her head, Kat saw Natasha and Steve standing by the bar. They raised glasses in their hands to her while smirking as a slower song played over the speakers. Kat didn't even know that clubs played slow songs. She couldn't stick her tongue out at them or respond because Loki pulled her closer to him.

She looked at him with shock and confusion in her eyes at his sudden movements. Kat though he'd want to stop dancing because of the change of emotion on the dance floor. He leaned down and whispered in her ear.

"Look normal, I think I found our man." he informed her.

"Spin me so I can see." she whispered back, smiling when they pulled away from each other.

Loki did as she told him and spun her out before bringing her back to him. She caught a glance at the man in the jeans and dark shirt. His hair was a bright red, contrasting nicely with his sharp blue eyes. That was their guy.

"Did you see him?" Loki questioned, hoping he didn't bring her back too fast.

"Yeah." Kat answered, her fake smile still in place as she slid her arms around Loki's shoulders.

She tried to think of a way to get to him before he moved. They couldn't stop dancing suddenly and march over to him. Then it came to her.

"Loki," she looked up at him. "Push the button on my communicator in my ear, but make it look like you're pushing my hair out of the way and holding my cheek."

He did without question, knowing what she was thinking.

"Guys, we found him. Behind me. Green shirt, jeans. You can see his red hair easily." Kat spoke into the communicator as she kept eye contact with Loki while (still!) smiling to make it look like they were just a couple in love.

"I see him," Natasha let Kat know, Loki being the only other one able to hear here. "But it looks like you two have some admirers. Dressed in black at 2 o'clock."

Glancing over Loki's shoulder, Kat saw them. Two, huge men were decked out in black shirts, shoes, and what looked like leather pants.

"What do they want with us?" Kat questioned, Loki's finger still on the button.

"Maybe they work for our guy. They keep looking your way."

"Guess we'll have to do something about that." Loki smiled down at her as he moved his hand off of the button.

"But what?" Steve asked and Kat could feel his curiosity at what they would do.

"Kiss me," Kat stated without hesitation. "Personal displays of affection make people uncomfortable. After that, pull me off the dance floor and down the hall."

There was a hallway to her right that they had danced close to that they could only assume led to the bathrooms or a storage room.

"Are you sure?" Loki asked.

"Yeah, we need to get away from them and make them uncomfortable with following us." Kat explained, Loki's hand was pressed just under her jawline which meant that no one else could hear their conversation.

His thumb moved across her cheek, deciding whether to do it or not. His emotions towards this girl had confused him and a kiss might make it worse, but they needed answers.

"Do it before the song is over." Kat urged him, the curve on her lips was a small one compared to the mega watt smile she had wore earlier.

By now they were only swaying to the song as Loki leaned down to press his lips to Kat's. Despite his usual low body temperature, his lips made Kat warm. Her cheeks and neck were warm and she would bet her motorcycle that she was blushing from kissing someone in public.

That's when she remembered that this was her first kiss.

She was always too busy or not social enough to date, let alone go to parties where spin the bottle was an option. Or parties that weren't just her, Gwen and their usual sleepover package.

'So this is what it feels like. I can see what all the chatter is about.' Kat thought.

All too quickly, Loki pulled away, a smile edged onto his lips and Kat remembered that she was playing a role- giddy girl in love. She plastered a sly smile on her face as Loki pulled her down the hallway. The song changed to a more upbeat one and bodies flooded back to the dance floor, allowing Loki and Kat to lose the two, mean looking men.

"Natasha," Kat held her hand to her communicator as they ventured deeper down the hall. "How did that put them off?"

"Well you certainly surprised Cap," she chuckled and Kat could only imagine Steve's expression. "But the guys looked really uncomfortable and even walked away."

"Awesome. We-"

"Wait," Natasha cut her off. "Red Head is walking towards the hallway you just went down. He's almost there."

Quickly, Kat opened the first door she could get to and shoved Loki in before shutting the door behind herself. She filled Loki in as to why she hurried them into the random room.

"For a moment I thought I was going to have trouble making you resist me." Loki joked, but Kat wasn't paying much attention to what he was saying.

Kat was studying the room she had forced Loki into. It had dark red carpet with an equally dark mahogany desk. Two chairs were placed on one side of the desk while an office chair was on the other side.

"Crap, I think we're in his office." Kat informed Natasha and Steve.

"Hide. We're coming. Maybe we can get him alone."

"Hide where?" Kat asked herself as her eyes landed on another door.

She heard footsteps approaching as she pulled Loki into the small closet that laid behind the door. Once the closet door was closed, the one that they had came through opened, bring voices along with it.

"When is the next shipment in?" a deep voice questioned.

"Early this morning. 4 o'clock." answered a new voice.

"But we'll be there early." spoke a second voice.

"Good. Can't have that Faulkner stealing my product away from me, now can I? Don't let me down like Joey did." the first voice had stated, making Kat believe that it was Red Head.

He dismissed the two men. The door shutting was followed by multiple sounds that made them think that he had sat down in the office chair. Kat was trying to decide when to show themselves when Steve sounded in her ear.

"All clear. No one else is down the hall. We're heading to meet you in his office, keep him there."

Loki nodded, letting Kat know that he had heard. She placed her hand on the knob of the door and turned it. Red Head snapped his head up from the papers on his desk, his eyebrows furrowing.

"What the- How did you get in here?" he questioned.

"Sorry, but you're not the one in charge here," Kat informed him, noticing one of his hands under the table. "And you should really think about not hitting that panic button under your desk."

By now, Kat had walked to the side of his desk, ready to take action if necessary. Suddenly, Red shot out of his chair, holding a gun in Kat's face.

"It's not a button. You think I don't know how to defend myself?"

If you blinked, you would have missed it. As quick as lighting, Kat moved her hands to the gun, snatching it and turning it around on Red.

"No, I don't think you do."

"Go ahead. Shoot me."

"Don't be an idiot," Kat took the magazine out and threw the parts to the ground. "We came to talk. So sit down, and shut up unless you're asked something."

Kat kicked his chair so it was up against the wall, letting her sit on his desk as he stood in place, not moving.

"Why should I listen to you if you don't have a weapon?" Red challenged.

"How idiotic are you?" Loki asked rhetorically.

"He doesn't get it," Kat said to Loki, keeping her eyes on Red before she addressed him. "I am the weapon."

Kat's claws unsheathed, giving Red a good idea of what might happen if he didn't listen. Starring at her claws, he sat in the chair Kat had pushed.

"Your one of them." he whispered in horror.

"One of who?"

"T-those mutants," he was paralyzed with fear. "Don't kill me. Please, please don't kill me. I'll give you anything you want."

"That works for me. All we want are answers."

"What do you wanna know?"

Natasha and Steve chose that exact time to enter the room, making a flash of hope cross his features.

'How cute? He thinks someone is coming to help him.' The Beast chuckled and Kat couldn't help but smirk to herself before she turned serious again.

"Were you followed?" Kat asked, turning to her teammates.

"No. But it doesn't look like you need us." Natasha smirked, crossing her arms.

Kat couldn't help but wonder if that was pride that flashed in Natasha's eyes when she took in the scene before her. Kat dismissed it as she turned back to Red.

"What's your name?"

"Sean Harrison." he answered without thinking about it.

"What is it that your boys are picking up tonight at 4?"

"Products. Drugs. Guns." Sean spoke truthfully.

Everyone in the room was trying to see if he had any tells that would let them catch him in a lie. Kat pulled a picture of Taylor out of the pocket of her dress.

"Have you seen this guy?"

Sean took the picture and studied it for a minute.

"Yeah, he wanted to by some guns."

"Did he say what for?"

"I never ask."

"Did he contact you?"

"By a cell phone. I can give you the number." he offered.

He wrote it down on a piece of paper that Kat slipped into her pocket.

"Anything that stood out about him?"

"He had a scar right here," Sean's finger landed on his left temple. "Looked like something a gunshot wound would leave behind."

Kat had a hard time swallowing as she remembered why Taylor would have that scar. She didn't let it show as she crossed her arms and kept her mask on to hide her emotions.

"When and where are you suppose to meet him to give him the guns?"

"I'm suppose to contact him when I have the shipment. Let him pick the time and place."

"Well what are you waiting for?" Kat asked, tossing his cell phone that rested on the desk to him. "You have a call to make. Don't tip him off or call anyone else, or you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Or, you know, whatever's left of it. Just do as your told and everything should be peachy."

Sean made the call, doing a good job of sounding calm even though he was freaking out on the inside. The guy they were interested in told him the place and time to meet him with the product. Sean said that he'd be sending one of his men to deliver the package. He hung up and tossed the phone back to the woman in front of him.

"Tomorrow at midnight. The abandoned building off of 17th street."

"I know the one," Kat informed him before she stood up and walked towards Natasha. "Anything else you want to ask him?"

"You covered the basics."

"Alright. Let's knock him out. We can't have him stopping us from leaving," Kat turned back to Sean. "Thank you for you cooperation, Mr. Harrison. Do not tell any one of this encounter or warn the man you have just contacted. We'll know if you do."

Kat flashed him a warning look as her claws reflected light that made them look like they were winking at him before she retracted them. Without warning, Loki mumbled words and Sean's eyes grew heavy. The last thing he saw was the four strangers walking out of his office.
