Nina's POV
--------------
I look over Ian at the clock on the night stand. 2:20 am.
I slam my head back against the pillow.
Ian rolls over.
"Nina? You alright?" He grabs my hand.
"I can't sleep. I'm just used to new Zealand's time still." I say.
"I'm not so tired either." He says.
I roll out of the bed and stand up.
"Where you going?" Ian sits up.
"Out for a walk. Wanna come?" I hold my hand out to him.
He stands up.
I throw on a pair of shoes and Ian grabs his.
When we get outside we shut the door quietly.
Ian slides his hand in mine and we walk down the drive way.
"Now don't fall asleep on me. I'd have to carry you back down this long ass drive way." Ian winks at me.
I laugh and nod my head.
"Are you ready for filming next week?" Ian asks.
"Yeah. I'm excited to see everyone again. I miss being on set and prancing everyone." I smile.
"One of these days we are going to prank you bad." Ian smirks.
"I'd like to see you all try." I rest my head on his shoulder as we walk down the sidewalk.
"I like this. This quiet walk. Just us." I say to him.
"Well let's make it a habit. But not every night." Ian smiles.
"Deal." I lean up and kiss his cheek.
I feel something wet hit my head.
"What was that?" I touch my head.
"What?" Ian looks up.
"Dang it." Ian closes his eyes.
"It's about to rain." Ian says and turns around to head back.
I grab his hand.
"No. Wait." I say to him.
"Nina lets go back before we get soaked." He tries to pull me with him.
"Stay." I squeeze his hand.
He steps in close to me. I wrap my arms around his neck.
It starts pouring down rain.
"Now can we go back?" Ian shouts over the rain.
"No." I smile.
"Ian, I've never been kissed in the rain." I say to him.
He smiles and leans in and we start kissing.
We pull back from each other. Both smiling.
He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder.
"Ian! No!" I shout.
He starts laughing and spins around.
He puts me back on my feet and smiles.
"Nina, I love you." He says.
"I love you too Ian." I kiss him again.
"Now come on before we catch a cold!" He pulls me with him and we start running back to the house.
As we run down the front yard Ian slips in mud.
"Ha!" I start laughing.
He sits up and pulls me down.
"Ian!" I smack his arm.
He throws mud on my chest.
"No!" I smear mud on his face.
He tackles me to the ground and rolls on top of me.
I put my hand on his cheek and kiss him.
It stops raining.
"Now we're filthy. We can't go inside the house like this." I say to him.
"Then we strip our clothes off, rinse off with the water hose, and sneak back inside." Ian smirks.
"And if we get caught?" I ask.
"Then we have a funny story to tell in 10 years." He starts laughing.
I stand up and laugh.
"Come on smolder. Let's hurry." We run to the back yard.
"Oh my gosh it's cold!" I say to Ian as he runs the water on my body. The mud disappearing.
"Sorry!" He says.
"Now get me." He hands me the water hose.
I rinse the mud off his body.
"Now let's get our naked selves back inside!" I turn the water off and turn back to face him.
"What?" I ask as his eyes run up and down my body.
He grabs my hand.
"Come on." He says.
We walk inside quietly and up the stairs to our room.
He shuts the door and locks it.
I walk over to the baby monitor and check Harlow.
Still sound asleep.
Ian hands me a towel.
"I need to take a shower." I say to him.
"We." He smiles.
"Come on smolder." I pull him into the bathroom and into the shower.
"Now that's better." I say when the warm water hits my body.
We wash off our bodies and hop back out of the shower.
Ian wraps a towel around me.
"Let's get back to bed." He says.
I put on one of his t-shirts and crawl into the bed.
Ian lays down next to me and smiles.
"That turned out to be fun." He says.
"Maybe not the mud part." I wink.
He kisses me and turns the lamp off.
"Goodnight my love." He says quietly and rest his head on my shoulder.
"Goodnight baby." I say back.

Ian's POV

I wake up to the sound of Nina sneezing.
"Oh no." I sit up.
"You got a cold didn't you?" I ask her.
She nods her head and grabs a tissue.
"I feel awful." She lays back down.
"Let me go make you some tea and bring you some medicine." I look over at the clock.
"It's 11?" I ask.
"Yeah. Mom and dad took Harlow with them to shop. I told her we didn't sleep last night." Nina says.
"Oh. Well let me go get this stuff for you. You stay in bed." I smile at Nina and head down to the kitchen.
I make her some hot tea and gather the medicine and head back up to the room.
"Here you go. I added some fruit." I hand her the tea and a bowl of fruit.
"Take these." I place the medicine in her hand.
"Thank you Ian." She smiles.
"Now, we have an excuse to lay in bed all day. And sleep." I smile at her.
"You don't have to lay in bed all day with me." She says.
"But I want too. I want to take care of you." I lean over and kiss her cheek.
I lean back against the head board and Nina lays her head on my stomach.
I play with her and she runs her fingers down my thigh.
She sneezes again.
"Let's go back to bed." I lay down and place her head on my chest and pull the covers up.
"Are you warm enough?" I ask her.
"As long as I'm in your arms. Yes." She smiles.

Nina's POV

3 hours later I wake up from a nap.
"Did you sleep better?" Ian asks.
"Yes. I feel a little better too." I sit up.
"Good." Ian smiles.
"Is mom and dad back with Harlow yet?" I ask him.
"No. They called about an hour ago and said they were still shopping and we're going to have dinner." Ian says and sits down beside me.
"They would take Harlow back to Canada with them if we'd let them." I start laughing.
Ian kisses my cheek and laughs.
"Well are you hungry? Do you want some soup?" He asks brushing his fingers across my cheek.
"Yeah that sounds good." I smile at him.
"Is Alex with them?" I look into the guest room as we pass it.
"No actually. He's with Paul." Ian starts laughing.
"Paul? Why?" I shake my head.
"Paul stopped by earlier and Alex answered the door. Paul needed some help with things around his place and I told him I'd help but I didn't want to leave you alone. So Alex said he'd help him." Ian laughs.
"Oh goodness." I say.
"Phoebe still not back from London?" Ian asks.
"No. She had that big photo shoot and a fashion show to attend." I say.
Ian turns the stove on and starts making the soup.
Lynx rubs her head on my feet when I prop them up on the stool.
"Ian?" I say to him.
"Hmm?" He stirs the soup.
"We should go to the animal shelter." I smile.
He looks over at me.
"Why?" He asks.
"To get that dog you want." I smile again.
He smiles back.
"We will soon." He says back.
He finishes the soup and pours some into a bowl.
"This is so good. But maybe also better cause I'm sick." I eat another bite.
"You know, I was on this mom blog and I seen a video her and her husband made for their daughter. They both made separate videos about what they loved about each other. It was really cute. But anyway, when their daughter gets old enough they are going to show it to her. So she'll know about true love. I think maybe we should do that. For Harlow." I say after we finish eating.
"Yeah we can do that. I like that idea. Mine might be 2 hours talking about everything I love about you though." He smirks.
I lean in and kiss him.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you." He says back.
"When do you want to do that video?" He asks.
"Maybe tonight. When mom and them get back. Well set the camera up in our room." I say.
"Maybe not in our room. Wouldn't want questions being asked why there's a camera in the bedroom." Ian winks and puts his hand on my lower back.
I start laughing.
"Don't get any ideas either." I tap my finger on his nose.
"Never." He smirks.
"Mhmm." I say.
"So let's just sit it up in the living room. And while we talk the other person goes down stairs." Ian says.
"Why?" I ask.
"So we don't hear each other. We can watch the video together when we put it together." He smiles.
"Good thinking." I smile at him.
"Can we go back upstairs?" I place my hand on his chest.
"What for?" He smiles and places his hand on top of mine.
"Hmmm.." I say and pull him by his shirt to stand up.
I lead us up the stairs and into our room.
"Shut the door." I say to Ian as we walk in the room.
"And lock it." I add.
Ian smirks and shuts the door.
He wraps his arms around my waist.
"You. Are. So. Crazy." He kisses me after each word.
"But we haven't even started." I wink at him.
He slides the t-shirt I'm wearing over my head.
Kissing my collar bones.
I slide my hand down to the button on jeans and un-button it. Moving my hand down into his boxers until I feel him around my hand.
He breathes out.
I kiss around his neck.
"Bed." He says and lifts me up around his waist.
He sits down with me in his lap.
I push him back with my hand and start grinding against him.
His hands slide down on to my butt.
He slides out of his jeans and kicks them to the floor.
I kiss around his chest until he pulls me back up to his mouth.
"Nina.." He moans out as he moves inside me.
I lean my head on his. Breathing hard.
My hands run through his hair. He flips me over onto the bed and lays over me.
"Oh fuck." I moan out.
Ian slows down the rhythm of our bodies colliding.
"Baby..." I moan.
My fingers running down his back.
"Ian.." I moan into his ear.
"Nina.." He moans back.
"God.." I breathe out.
His lips brush against mine. He lays down next to me.
Breathing hard.
"That was..." He says.
I slide my hand into his.
"I know.." I say back.
I lay my head down on his chest. His hand slides up and down my back.
"Hello?" I hear my brother say.
"Damn.." Ian says.
"Well it was good while it lasted." I kiss his chest and his lips and slide on his t-shirt again.
I throw him his boxers and he slides them on.
He throws his arms around me, hugging me tight into him.
"We can do more tonight.." I whisper into his ear.
"Fine with me." He smirks.
He squeezes my butt as we walk out of the room.
"Hey Alex." I brush my hair with my fingers.
"Mom and them not back?" He asks.
"No they went to dinner." I say.
"Let's order us a pizza." Ian suggests.
Alex nods his head.
"Paul here?" Ian asks.
"Yeah he is down stairs. Nina your neck.." Alex starts laughing.
"Shit. Nina." Ian runs his finger over my neck.
"I didn't mean to do that." He laughs.
I put my hand over my neck.
"I don't care." I start laughing.
Alex and Ian laugh historically.
"Alex shut up. It's not like you've never gotten one." I smack his arm.
"Come on Nina. It's funny." He says.
"A little." I say.
Ian grabs my hand and we all walk down stairs to Paul.
"Hi Paula." Ian says.
"Hi baby." Paul says back and we laugh.
"Nina your.." Paul starts to say.
"We know." Ian, Alex, and I say at the same time.
"Wanna stay and have pizza with us?" I ask Paul.
"Yeah thanks." Paul sits down on the couch.
"Talk to Phoebe today?" I ask him.
"Yeah about an hour ago. She'll be home tomorrow." Paul opens a beer.
Ian hands Alex one and they both drink.
"Nina?" Ian holds one up.
"Can't. Baby has to eat later." I point to my boobs.
Ian nods his head.
"I forgot." He says.
"It's fine." I kiss his cheek.
"So ready to start filming next week?" Ian asks Paul.
"I'm ready to be back on set. And be with everyone again." Paul says.
Ian goes into the kitchen and calls in the pizza.
"Let's go swim." Alex suggest.
"I don't have my trunks with me." Paul stands up.
"I'm sure you can find some of Ian's." I say.
"Ian baby, let's go swimming. Can Paul borrow some of your swim shorts?" I say when I walk into the kitchen.
"Yeah let's go find some."
We walk up to our bedroom.
"What have you guys been doing?" Paul says.
I look around. Our bed spread is all over the place. Pillows on the floor and Ian's jeans laying on the floor.
"Sleeping." Ian laughs.
"So Nina go that from sleeping?" Paul starts laughing.
"Shut up." I say.
Ian throws Paul some swim shorts and he walks out of the room.
I pull the t-shirt over my head and Ian kisses my lips when my head comes out of the shirt.
He helps me tie my bikini top.
"Later." I remind him.
"Later." He kisses my shoulder.
We walk out back and Alex jumps in to the pool first. Paul slides down the slide and Ian lays in a tube and I sit down on him.
"You guys need a fire pit." Alex says.
"We're getting one." I say.
Ian runs his hand down my arm.
"I love you." He whispers into my ear.
"I love..." I get cut off and Ian tips me out of the float.
We both come back up from under the water.
"Ian Joseph Somerhalder!" I splash water into his face.
Everyone laughs.
"I hate you." I start laughing.
He goes under water and puts his head between my legs and lifts me up.
"Let's play chicken!" He says.
Paul puts Alex on his shoulders.
"Simple. I always beat Nina at this when we were younger!" Alex says.
"Well now I'll kick your ass little bro." I shout.
"I'd like to see you.." I push Alex off of Paul's shoulders.
High fiving Ian.
"Shit." Alex says.
We start laughing.
