"You..."

Amelia suddenly didn't know how to explain when she saw Jackson like this.

She was wearing James's clothes, which completely covered her body.

However, her red and swollen lips and the hickeys on her neck hurt Jackson.

His eyes were red, and his hands were trembling. He wanted to touch the places James had touched, but Amelia avoided his hand.

For Jackson, the action she instinctively avoided was more hurtful than the sound they made when James violated her in the room.

He took a step back in disbelief and looked at the woman
standing at the door motionlessly.

Until this moment, Jackson realized that what five years apart meant was not amnesia but loss.

After his brother pretended to be him and gave Amelia two hard kicks, he completely lost her.

Tears welled up in his bright red eyes, making it impossible for him to see clearly what Amelia looked like.

He staggered forward step by step, walked up to her with difficulty, raised his hand, and pulled her into his embrace.

He hugged her and used all his strength as if he wanted to rub her into his bones and blood.

But even if he held her in his arms, he couldn't feel any response from her.

In the past, as long as he hugged her, she would smile and put her arms around his waist.

Then, she snuggled in his arms and acted like a spoiled child. "Ryan, can you stop being so busy with work and spend more time with me?"

Amelia had asked him to spend more time with her. But he had never had time to accompany her in order to give her a better future and life.

When he had time, she and he had missed each other because of a car accident.

This regret gripped his heart, suffocating him to the point of being unable to breathe. Even if he were to take in large mouthfuls of air, it would not be able to alleviate the pain in the slightest.

When the cold liquid fell into her collarbone, Amelia was shocked.

She wanted to raise her head, but his big palm grabbed her.

"Amelia, don't look at me..."

His last trace of pride did not allow her to see him in such a sorry state.

Amelia stopped moving and allowed him to hug her, but her mind went blank.

Today, Jackson was acting too abnormally. It was as if he had changed into another person.

"I'm sorry."

He buried his head in her neck and apologized in a low voice.

"It's my fault. I'm useless. That's why you sold yourself to save me."

"I couldn't accept that you sold yourself, and I broke down emotionally and made you sad."

"I didn't want to go back home. I had a car accident on the way and suffered a serious head injury, which made me forget about you..."

"I'm sorry, Amelia. I just remembered. I'm really sorry..."

Hearing his sincere words, Amelia couldn't help but choose to believe him.

So he suddenly acted so abnormally because he remembered what had happened in the past.

In other words, he had not lied to her. He had really lost his memory.

He said that he lost his memory on the way home, but when she went to the Imperial Capital to find him, he clearly didn't lose his memory.

Amelia was very confused and wanted to ask him what was going on. But he suddenly let go of her and took a photo from his pocket.

"This is my elder brother. Look, do I look like him?"

There were two people in the photo taking it side by side.

The man on the left was in a black suit, while the man on the right was in a white casual suit.

They wore different clothes, but their appearances were exactly the same as if carved from the same mold.

Amelia suddenly raised her head and looked at Jackson in disbelief when she saw this photo.

"What's going on?"

Jackson's eyes were red as he smiled bitterly at Amelia.

"My brother didn't want you to pester me, so he deliberately impersonated me to hurt you.."

"I only recently discovered what he did to you five years ago."

"I'm sorry, Amelia. I didn't protect you well."

Jackson paused, his red eyes full of guilt.

Amelia's heart stopped beating instantly, and her face, which was as pale as paper, turned paler little by little.

In other words, Ryan had never considered abandoning or killing her.

His brother was the one who had been ruthless to her and said those harsh words back then.

Ryan had never changed, and she had never loved the wrong person.

The resentment that had lingered in her heart for many years was completely released when she knew the truth.

All of a sudden, she stopped struggling, feeling sad, or resentful. There was only relief for the past.

She heaved a deep sigh of relief. When she looked up at Jackson again, she had never felt so relaxed.

"It's not your fault. This misunderstanding was caused by our fates."

"It's all in the past now. You don't have to apologize for it."

Her relaxed tone made Jackson's heart ache even more, and even his fingers ached.

Did it mean that she had let go of their past and him?

"You... you don't want me anymore?"

Jackson's voice was trembling as he asked.

Amelia raised her hand and touched her neck, covered with kiss marks from James. With her like this, how could she be with Ryan again?

She hid the emotions in her eyes and looked at Jackson with a smile. "As you can see, I'm no longer pure..."

Jackson stared at her for a long time. Suddenly, he plucked up his courage, raised his hand, and tried to wipe away the hickeys on her neck.

"I'll clean it up. It's okay..."

His fingers were trembling when he wiped her neck.

Seeing him like this, Amella couldn't help but cry as well.

How possessive has Ryan been in the past?

Every time she talked a little more with other men, he would be furious.

He cared about her very much and would not allow anyone to touch her.

That was why he had collapsed after learning that she had sold herself.

After witnessing her sleeping with another man with his own eyes, such a man actually said that it was fine.

He feared that she would abandon him, but she couldn't be with him again. They had already missed each other.

Amelia raised her hand to stop him. "Ryan, I'm sorry. I've been with him for the past five years. It's been more than once."

In anger, she signed the agreement and handed herself over to James.

Even though they had cleared up the misunderstanding, it was still a fact that she had betrayed him.

She was not worthy of Ryan, who only had eyes for her.

"I know."

"Jackson nodded and said indifferently, "As long as you're willing to come with me, it doesn't matter..."

He would no longer be as childish as before. He would protect her and not let her suffer any more harm.

His firm gaze made Amelia's heart tremble slightly.

Ryan really loved her. She had degenerated into such a state, and he was still willing to accept her.

Amelia opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but a strong force behind her suddenly pulled her away.

Her back slammed into a sturdy chest, and her soft body was held in James's arms.

"You want to leave? Did you ask me?"

James's voice was as cold as ice, which made Amelia stiffen.

Amelia lowered her head and covered the complicated emotions in her eyes with her eyelashes.

Seeing that she didn't resist, James's expression softened a little, but his eyes were full of coldness as he looked at Jackson.

"Mr. Collins, why do you want to take over the woman I had slept with thousands of times? You are truly deep in affection and loyalty..."

These humiliating words made Jackson suddenly angry.

He clenched his fists and rushed forward, wanting to punch James hard.

However, Jackson, who was seriously injured on the back of his head and drenched in the rain, was no match for James.

Before his fist could even touch the corner of James's shirt, James lifted his leg and kicked him to the ground.

"You're overestimating your abilities!"

James raised his hand and flicked his sleeves. He snorted at Jackson on the ground.

He didn't care about Jackson's life at all, which made Amelia more and more disappointed.

With a cold face, she pushed James away, rushed to Jackson, and squatted down to help him.

"Ryan, Did you get hurt?"

Seeing that she was worried about another man, the hostility in James's eyes rose sharply.

It was as if something important had been stolen, and he could not help but want to take it back.

"Come here."

His self-cultivation and rationality would not allow him to snatch it.

He just stood there, looking down at the pair of infatuated men and women.

His expression was commanding, warning, and oppressive, suggesting punishment would be inflicted if she didn't obey.

Looking into his eyes, Amelia felt extremely tired. She didn't want to go over at all.

But she knew his character. He wouldn't let her and Jackson leave safely if things didn't go as he wished.

She didn't care. She had been under his control for five years, but Jackson was still injured, and he had to go back for treatment.

Amelia sighed heavily, helped Jackson, and placed him on the sofa. Then, she spoke softly to him and said, "Ryan, wait for me here. I'll talk to him, and then we'll leave together, okay?"

Jackson didn't want her to return to James, but when he heard she would go with him, he couldn't help but let her.

"Okay."

Jackson nodded obediently. Like when he was young, he would believe and agree to whatever she said.

After giving him a gentle smile, Amelia turned around and approached James. "Mr. Evans, you must have heard what we just said, right?"

James pursed his thin lips and didn't say a word, indicating that he had heard it. Then Amelia continued.

"We did grow up with him, and we fell in love. We promised to be together for a lifetime. But he spoiled me and let me get away with anything. I even got angry with him on the street and caused him. to get hit by a car. The thing I could do was sell myself to raise money for his surgery. You heard about what happened later because of his amnesia and elder brother, I misunderstood him, and that's why I signed that agreement with you in anger."

James interrupted her long speech in a cold voice, "Do you mean you're unwilling to stay with me?"

Amelia nodded. "That's right. I didn't spend your money in the past five years because I didn't want to owe you anything. Now that Ryan is back and the misunderstanding has been cleared up, I want to go back to him and be with him. Mr. Evans, can you let
me go?"

Her eyes were clean and clear, without distracting thoughts about him, only pleading.

All the blood in James's body was cold, and his little comfort after touching her collapsed instantly.

His heart was torn open, and his whole body was in pain,
including his palms.

James clenched his fists and tried to suppress the spreading pain, but he couldn't stop it.

That kind of pain was something that had never happened before.

It traveled all over his body and hurt his limbs and bones.

"Mr. Evans, thank you for helping me when I was most helpless. Otherwise, Ryan wouldn't have survived."

"I'm very grateful to you, but my feelings for you are limited to this."

"That's enough!"

James let out a cold snort, causing Amelia to shut her mouth.

She didn't dare to look at him. She lowered her head and waited for his wrath.

However, after waiting for a long time, James did not respond.

Amelia slowly raised her head and saw his cold and disappointed eyes.

Her heart felt like it was being grabbed by something, and it hurt so much that she had difficulty breathing.

Men were good at controlling their emotions. At this time, James had already calmed down.

After five years, there was nothing else besides gratitude for this.

For such a woman's sake, he lowered his status and went to find her again and again.

However, she had ruthlessly told him repeatedly that Ryan was the only person she loved. He was nothing in her heart.

If he continued to pester her, he would appear to be ridiculous.

James put away the disappointment in his eyes and glanced at Amelia coldly. His voice was unprecedentedly cold.

"Get lost!"

He only said two words, not a single extra word, which meant he let her go.

Amelia should have been happy that she had achieved her goal but she was heartbroken.

She looked deeply at the arrogant and cold man, gritted her teeth, and walked toward Jackson.

When she helped Jackson leave, she couldn't help looking back.

James had already turned around and returned to the bedroom, leaving her lonely back.

The moment he fiercely closed the door, it indicated that all of this was over.

Frustrated, Amelia couldn't catch her breath. Her hand that was holding Jackson was trembling in pain.

"Amelia, what's wrong?"

Her face, full of despondency and emotional breakdown, made Jackson realize something, but he didn't dare to think more.

"I'm fine."

Amelia shook her head. "Let's go."

Jackson nodded, held her hand tightly, and left the villa.

When James upstairs saw them leave, his face became
increasingly gloomy and cold.

He stared fixedly at the petite figure, unable to describe his feelings.

He just had an impulse to rush forward and carry her back.

But the words she said pulled him back to reality.

She was just a woman who did not love him. It was not a big deal. Why should he miss her?

He withdrew his eyes, but the pain in the body's marrow suddenly hit again at the sight of his torn clothes on the ground.

He must have gotten used to her body, so his mind was full of the image of her lying under him and begging for mercy. It must be so!

Jackson and Amelia supported each other out of the villa. There were a few cars that Jackson had brought.

The people in the car were all bodyguards, and their faces were all injured.

Before Jackson went in, they had already fought with James's bodyguards.

Jackson brought too few people and did not beat James's people, which forced him to call the police.

Seeing Jackson come out safe and sound, the bodyguards breathed a sigh of relief. One of them opened the door for the two.
