— CHAPTER FIFTY NINE
❝I WANT YOU TO STAY❞
— HARMONY —
I WAKE up with the biggest smile on my face. Turn over to my left to see Jude sleeping peacefully beside me. He looks so cute like this. Still kind of surreal that he's here and I'm here and we're together.
Told the girls all of the details immediately. They were freaking out for me in the best way. Happy we finally got together. Chloe told me Gio's been a crying mess since Jude told him. That he's convinced he's the reason we're together.
I comb through his hair with my hand as I smile at him. He's the most gorgeous man on the planet. I reach out, poke his arm just to make sure he's real. Still finding it hard to believe he's here in my room after not seeing or speaking to him for two months.
He stirs awake when i do, his eyes slowly fluttering open. He immediately smiles at me, yawning a little.
"Good morning." He smiles sleepily, pulls me closer to him.
I giggle at the sudden movement. Rest my head on his arm that's stretched out behind my head.
"Morning." I smile
"Why are you poking me in my sleep?" He laughs as he plays with my hair.
"Trying to make sure you're real." I shrug nonchalantly.
"There's another way to find that out." He smirks leans in and kisses me passionately. Nothing I love more than the feeling of his kisses.
I laugh, gently push his face away from me.
"Just realised, you haven't actually asked me to be your girlfriend yet." I comment
"I thought that was already clearly implied after the I love you's." He laughs
I glare at him. "Mhm no."
He laughs again, shaking his head.
"Harmony Simmons-" he starts
"Yes." I grin cheesily
"Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asks looking over at me.
"Hmm..." I pat my chin as if I'm contemplating it.
"Not really sure." I joke with a shrug
It's his turn to now glare at me.
"Okay. I mean if you won't I'm sure hanna will." He jokes smirking at me.
My smile drops. Not funny. Now I have to make an even better joke because that's just how we are.
"Go right ahead. I think Aaron's waiting around somewhere." I shrug grinning at him.
"Think I have his email actually. From booking the skiing. I'd be happy to pass that on to you. Think you two would look amazing together." He nudges me playfully
"Great! And while you look for that email I'll dm liana and see if she can send me hanna's instagram. You can slide into her dms and the two of you can live happily ever after." I smile widely letting out a over exaggerated sigh.
"Oh thank you so much. Been meaning to get in contact with her." He grins.
"Hey, maybe we can even do a double date soon?" He adds looking over at me.
"All four of us?" I ask
"Yes. Me, you, hanna banana and dr Shepard."
"Sounds wonderful." I joke
"Mhm I think so too." He smirks
Me and him hold eye contact for a little, both of us trying not to laugh, but we eventually do.
"I like this." He says
"What?" I ask
"Us. Our dynamic."
"Yes. Keeps the relationship alive." I laugh
"So we are in a relationship then?" He smirks over at me.
I roll my eyes fighting back the biggest smile.
"I guess—because I have to..because you're here and you look like that...I'll be your girlfriend." I tease
"Music to my ears." He grins picking my hand up and kissing it.
"Can't believe that after six months of pretending to date we're actually dating." I smile as I look down at our intertwined hands.
"Who says we stopped pretending." He jokes
"Oh so you still hate me then?" I grin over at him
"Yes. So much. Find you really annoying actually. Only here in your bed because I couldn't be bothered to drive back home." He says sarcastically. Shrugging.
"Yeah I figured." I laugh softly
"How about you? Still hate me?" He asks jokingly
"Of course I do."
"Good." He cracks a smile.
"Great." I smile looking down.
He pushes some hair behind my ear and strokes my cheek with his thumb.
"I'm hungry." I sigh
"Let's order breakfast then." He says stroking my hair as he looks at me.
"What do you want?" He asks
I crack a devious smile which makes him connect the dots. He knows exactly what I want. It's literally my brand at this point.
"No."
"Please!" I plead. Didn't think that now he's my boyfriend i'd still be having to beg Jude to get McDonald's.
"No. Harms you eat that all the time. There's so many other breakfast places. That are nicer to get breakfast from." He sighs
"But I like McDonald's." I pout. Manipulation tactic. He'll crumble soon. I know it.
"I know. But there's so many other places, don't you want to try them?" He asks
"No." I fold my arms over my chest. Turn away from him.
"Harms."
No response
"Harmony." He says again softly, tapping my shoulder but I'm ignoring him. He's going to crack.
"Come on Harms." He pleads but I continue to ignore him.
He lets out the deepest, most tired sigh.
"Fine. We'll get it." He says giving in. Knew he would.
I whip my head towards him. Smiling the cheesiest smile ever.
"Can we get iced coffee too?" I bat my eyelashes
He glares at me unimpressed.
"Yes." He says begrudgingly.
I beam, wrapping my arms around his neck and planting lots of little kisses on his cheeks. After a while he laughs.
"I'm buying you a coffee machine tomorrow so you never have to ask for coffee again." He states
"Tomorrow?"
He nods. "So while you're here you can have coffee."
"And what makes you think I'm not flying back tomorrow?" I grin. I'm not. But I want to hear his answer.
"Because you're not. You're staying. At least for a few weeks." He declares
His eyes go soft as he looks at me.
"I want you to stay Harms. Please stay. Even if it's just for a week. I want a week with you. Just you and me spending time together. We lost too much time. We need to make up for it." He cups my cheek.
"Okay. I'll stay." I smile softly.
He smiles brightly as he leans in and kissed me softly.
"I love you." He says
"I love you too." I reply. I really do.
