"Did you find it, yet?" I felt the panic in my underling set in as soon as he heard my question. And of course my voice. Leaning against the kitchen counter I stared at the view that the window wall provided while my entire attention was solely focused on the call.

"We are still looking around, sir," the leader of the team replied hesitantly. There were some noises in the background, not that I cared but I then another thought came. How would she react when she sees the condition of her apartment after my men have been through it?

The range of emotions that she showcases is the polar opposite of what usually women show. And that is what pulls me towards her. That brain of hers, makes me want to claim her completely.

The silence of mine seemed to have put the team leader on edge.

"Call me as soon as you find it," I heard a feeble sigh of relief from the other side before I ended the call. I need to decipher how her brain works. Where in the world could she have hidden that file? It was indeed a really good excuse to justify my actions, though I knew well that none of my family members were going to be happy about the surprise I have in store for them. I would be more at peace if mom doesn't literally have a heart attack this time, after the last time about how things progressed with Rynah.

"You are home early," I turned to find Daksh standing behind me with a girl I had never seen before.

"Yes, had some work here," I kept the reply to the point as I observed the girl who would even fall into the 'beautiful' category of the human perception who was staring at me and my brother with a giddy and dreamy smile. If things went south, what is the possibility of this girl causing damage to our reputation or perhaps even help Natasha out of here? Did it have to be today of all days that she had to be when I had my wild kitten locked upstairs? Would I have to be lock this widely beaming girl in another room? Or scaring her to death by locking her in a dark trunk of a car would be better?

While all these thoughts were going on in my head, Daksh as if remembering his manner introduced the two of us to each other, "Brother, meet Shanaya Rao, one of my mentees and Shanaya, this is my elder brother, Vikrant Raivardhan."

I don't know why exactly my brother brought her here, but I'm not sure if she will be going back home tonight. Good thing, she wasn't a mind reader, I don't think she would be smiling so brightly after hearing my thoughts.

"Oh my god! The Vikrant Raivardhan? Great to meet you in person, Sir," Shanaya grabbed hold of my hand in a handshake and shook like some of the crazy fans out there that don't let go of it easily. I just regarded her with baffled raised eyebrows because the last time I checked, Doctors were more interested in human anatomy than the stock market and shares.

"My grandmother keeps talking about you and your accomplishments, you see she's a budding entrepreneur," Shanaya explained her source of knowledge about the field that was not related anywhere to her specialization.

"You mean your grandmother runs a company as well?" I asked politely while simultaneously snatching my hand back from her hold while she got distracted with further explanation.

"Avva and run company? That would be a really good joke, right now she is running a little gym that she opened to find a suitable groom for us but I always kept telling her that it was unnecessary because she couldn't find my groom there. I will be the one to find him and stay beside him, exactly like now," giving what looked like a shy giggle, the girl's eyes fell on the ground as she swung her shoulders while standing in her place. But her words actually gave me a chill down my spine making me exchange a confused look with Daksh asking him telepathically, 'she's talking about you, right?'

While his gaze looked, 'what do you even mean?'

You have got to be kidding me... This guy had no idea about the feelings of this too cheery mentee of his.

'Get this diabetes-inducing-sweet pug out of my face before I end up making it a black day for her family', I conveyed through my eyes to still confused looking Daksh.

"Um, yeah, let's head to the library. I'll get you the case material I worked on," Daksh scratched the back of his ear, trying to get back to the purpose he had brought her home for. I just waited as I watched them disappear around the corner before exhaling out loud. Though I had got rid of an over optimist and perhaps even the happiest person on the earth for the moment, she still remained in the house for the time being. And that was exactly what could derail my plans. The faster she is out of here, the less the damage will be incurred.

And just as I had thought that everything was going well, a little too well, the alarm went off in the house. A headache threatened to pinch at my mind making me close my eyes in annoyance and opening them a second later. My body reacted reflexively, and I was already hurrying towards the one place I was desperately hoping that it wasn't the place from where the alarm had went off. I was halfway there when I felt two more presence along side. Daksh and Aaryan were right at my heels as they were heading towards the same place. Aaryan had switched the alarm off from one of the iPad control units of the home.

"Where's your mentee?" I asked quickly glancing around so as to not leak anything before an outsider who was as weird as an alpaca in a stable of horses.

"I asked her to stay put in the library before rushing here, what's going on?" Daksh asked with a frown.

"Join the club, brother. The number of times I've been asking that question the entire day, it's surprisingly isn't surprising to hear the alarm go off," Aaryan scoffed from my other side.

"That weird day?" Daksh entertained the curiosity he was harboring. Well, what can I say, I felt amused too but did not comment on it. I had another issue to mind.

"Might as well become a millionaire if I collected a rupee for every time I asked that question, especially after the interviews of the prospective manager for the house," Aaryan gave a tight lipped smile to our surgeon brother.

"For your kind information, you already are a millionaire. Don't be greedy," Daksh taunted back making the headache that had been pinching in the side to resurface.

"Give it a break both of you," I hadn't intended the anxiety to seep through his tone making me clench my jaws as I closed my eyes for a second to compose myself before any of my brothers could read my emotions.

"What's wrong, Vikrant? Is there something you want to tell us?" Daksh seemed to have already grasped that there was something in store for them with how serious he had turned as a flip of a switch.

"Nothing much to worry about, she couldn't possibly jump out of the window from the third floor for her death. She's not that crazy," my vague explanation caused the other brothers to halt and pull me back to a stop.

"Wait? What do you mean by she couldn't possibly jump out of the window? Who is not that crazy?" Daksh asked, his eyes seeming to know the situation without me telling.

I couldn't help but sigh loudly while running my hand through my hair and answered, "don't freak out, just listen to me completely. I had locked Natasha in the servant's room-" I couldn't even complete it when Aaryan interrupted in the middle and questioned, "Who Natasha?"

"My former PA-" and that was all Daksh needed to hear before he cut in the middle, "Woah woah woah! No wonder it felt like a Déjà vu."

"You know, we better hurry to the room since the alarm has gone off. We need to check is someone is hurt or not," Aaryan pointed out stopping us from wasting anymore time.

We resumed walking. I don't know what to expect, just that she hasn't hurt herself.

As soon as we reached the door, I unlocked it but the door didn't budge.

Clever girl, must have somehow blocked the other side to get more time.

"Aaryan, help me out here," I commanded hurriedly as both of us started to slam into the door as hard as we could. The door burst open, sending us tumbling in. She had wound a piece of cloth tightly around the doorknob and the cupboard handles to prevent it from opening. I must say, I was impressed but at the same time I felt anger boil inside of me.

The next thing that I noticed was what looked like a rope made out of cloth, tied to the leg of the bed and over the broken window that shook every now and then.

Without further ado, all the three of us rushed towards the window.

"Oh shit!"

Hearing Aaryan shocked cursing, my wild little kitten looked up at us while hanging from the bedsheet rope and the first thing she did was roll my eyes.

I didn't know whether to be amused, or worried or furious at the stunt she had managed to pull.

And she got the guts to speed down descend.

I don't know about how others saw her, but I felt my little buddy down there come alive.

"Go down!" Instead I commanded trying to keep my desire at bay as I narrowed my eyes into slits at her and handle the situation.

Damn...

The smirk on her face as she slid down a little before halting to look at me challenging definitely turned me on.

"Not you!" I couldn't help but growl before looking at Daksh who stood frozen beside me making me call him out, "Daksh!"

Thankfully, he came back to his senses and ran out of the door. For he was the fastest in terms to running among all of us.

Somewhere from below, I heard Neel exclaim in surprise, "What the hell!?!"

At least, there was someone down there ready to catch her if she proceeded to descend.

And beside him Daksh had manage to reach the place on record time.

Not wanting to risk it further, I jumped over the window sill, ready to climb down the rope after her. Might as well grab her while I can before the gears in that mysterious mind of hers starts working again.

Before I could do what my mind was telling me to do, Aaryan grabbed me back as he exclaimed while looking incredulously at me, "Have you lost it? That's a bed sheet not stainless steel to hold both of your weights!"

There was some discussion going on between the twins, not that I could hear much of it but they had managed to undo the knot of the last bedsheet from the rope and stretched the bedsheet open below her.

My kitten looked distracted with whatever thoughts that were distracting her as she gritted her teeth.

Taking the chance, I signaled Aaryan to help pull the rope back up.

Without wasting my time, we rapidly pulled the rope before she could comprehend and we grabbed her upper arms and pulled her back in.

She didn't waste any time reaching behind her and pulling out the piece of broken mirror before swinging through the air adorably, as if that could hurt any of us. I tried grabbing her hand only to end up getting my palm slice open for underestimating her.

I hissed in unexpected pain and tried to reach for her little nails that she had grown to use as a weapon.

Thankfully, there were some rags wrapped around her hands to prevent her from getting injured.

I looked at Aaryan who nodded subtly as I pretended to grab her shard of mirror again which she tried to move it away from my reach only to have Aaryan knock it off her hands.

Youngest advanced to grab her, completely unawake of how shrewd she could be because the very next second he was on his knees, crying in pain as he held onto his balls that he has always been so proud of. Poor thing, that must have hurt his pride and reduced their size a bit. At least, no one had seen me in that situation earlier today.

I could feel his pain but also I found the situation to be hilarious, not that I could laugh at the time being when my blue-eyed kitten was now growling in my direction. As soon as my glare landed on her face, she immediately took off, trying to make a run out of the room before I end up kissing her. Nevertheless, I grabbed her by her elbow and pulled her back.

"Let go of me, you jerk!" she gritted through my teeth before bringing her heel onto my toes with force. I must say, she sure was strong for that petite body of hers.

I hissed letting go of her and watched her run into Daksh.

I don't know what he was thinking when he stepped aside and cleared my path making me growl, "Daksh! Catch her!"

"I am not participating in another episode of kidnapping a girl, just to hear earful from mother. I've been in this type of mess before and don't want to be part of it again." Daksh raised his hands in surrender and turned around to leave as he added, "I'm sorry, count me out of this."

That only ended me with yelling in frustration as I yanked and tore a piece of the bedsheet and wrapped it around my bleeding hand, "she has the file."

"That was what we believed about Rynah," Daksh argued.

"I have the video evidence and the courier guy confirming otherwise. And I checked the entire footage to find no one else touching it," my words made Daksh to take a U-turn and run after her. Knowing Daksh, he could still catch up to her with his speed as I ran after them.

"Oh my goodness!" A shriek of a girl came from downstairs making me facepalm.

This was the only thing remaining...

Daksh's mentee was going to be troublesome to be dealt with.

Soon after I heard a "Fuck!" from what sounded like a strangled voice of Neel's. I hurried down the stairs, jumping flights together of them when needed only to find Neel on his knees with angry tears in his eyes as he struggled to get up.

"I will kill that bitch!" He growled getting up on his feet.

On the other side of the room, Shanaya was standing with open mouth while looking at us in shock. This was really giving me a headache now.

"Catch that thief!" Aaryan came down the stairs thundering before running after us.

I could see Natasha's petite figure running towards the garden.

"Call the guards," I ordered running after her.

Just as she made her way towards the driveway Daksh blocked her path.

She looked over her shoulder to find Neel, Aaryan and I spread around, to surround her completely.

The way that her eyes moved trying to find a weak spot, automatically, I went into a defensive position. So did Neel and Aaryan, as we closed onto her.

As if a devil had whispered into her ear, she ran towards the one brother of mine that had no idea what she was capable of. Daksh.

As the sixth sense of all three of us went off making us yell in warning for Daksh which seemed to have come a little late.

She lunged towards him like some fighter with her fist in the air that Daksh was more focused on blocking while her knee swiftly came in contact with the poor unsuspecting pair of family jewels.

"Ouch," Aaryan voiced the pain that had remained us experiencing the same at different point of time by the same inducer. Daksh who had reached to stop her tiny fist, ended up on all four with his mouth wide open in silent grief. My lower part ached for two different reasons now.

My devilish little kitten, did not wait even for a second as she ran towards the winding driveway with me following her suit. There must be something wrong with my head as my family keeps saying because I loved chasing after her like this while enjoying her back view.

Her steps seemed a bit hesitant before the sight before her came into my sight. The guards Mohit and Vishwas had finally come outside for the call that they had received only for them to end up frightened at the sight of the one who had done a number to them that very afternoon. Mohit held his head where he had to get stitches and Vishwas held his swollen black eye that didn't look like it was going to get fixed before next week.

Observing the way she was preparing that bony tiny knee of hers while running, I warned them, "Look out for your manhood, she's a kicker. Catch her."

The guards took the warning seriously, albeit with wide eyes, and moved out of her way only to grab her waist and legs and lifted her of the ground.

"What the hell!" her frustrated yells echoed were loud and attention grabbing and of course, her tendency to continue to fight no matter what the situation. If I didn't restrain her arms, there was going to be a lot of people needing tetanus injection after this ordeal.

"Quickly, fetch a piece of rope or handcuff or something," I ordered the confused looking guard by the door who scurried back in trying to follow the order. I stood there admiring her fighting spirit as she pinched, punched, scratched and slapped whatever part of face of the guard her hand could reach, in the hope of freeing herself.

She sure is a wild kitten, slipping out of our fingers and wreaking havoc all around her. More than a kitten she was a tigress. My tigress.

"I can't believe that she managed to crack the nuts of four martial artists, just like that," Aaryan grumbled to himself as he slightly limped towards us, followed by the twins who were still recovering from the impact they had got physically as well as to their egos.

"Sir, didn't find a rope or the cuffs but found this," the guard grabbed my attention as he handed over a few zipties to me.

"Perfect," I smirked finding my violent little kitten frozen and grabbed her hands and tying it behind her back. The guards let go of her as it they touched lava as soon as she was tied making me grab her by her upper arm.

"You sure are one hell of a hellcat," I taunted unable to hide my smirk at which she seemed like she wanted to beat me up for.

Her glaring into my eyes was so entertaining and turning me on at the same time that I almost cursed when Neel's phone rang interrupting it. I had to gag her with my good hand to prevent her from making any noise.

"Hello, yeah. Now? Outside the gate? Okay will tell the guards to let you in," Neel ended the call before striding towards us in urgency, "My client is coming. She's at the gate."

"Now? Can't you postpone it for tomorrow?" Daksh groaned still in pain, it was going to take some time before he would be able to walk normally without making a face.

"Had I known before about this trouble, I might have but it's too late now, she had called me an hour ago requesting to visit me," Neel eyed the growling little cat in my arms with hostility.

His eyes read, 'this is all her fault!'

Adjusting my hold over this amazing creature as I humored the situation, "So what do you want us to do? Disappear from the face of the earth?"

"I don't know what you are going to do but contain that kitty-cat-with-nails-out, inside. I can't risk this lady witnessing another circus," Neel below out angrily as he conveyed with his eyes, 'this is important client. We cannot risk to mess this up.'

Before I could react or respond, the situation went down another path. Aaryan winced as he whined, "Kitty? You call that kitty? That's a nutcracker! A wild dangerous Chimera in human form! A nutcrack-Chimera-kitty! She's an abomination to the cat family! Awww! My family jewels!"

And the person who I had completely forgotten about, reminded of her presence by opening her mouth and saying something as absurd as, "so, I am getting kidnapped too? If yes, can you lock me in Daksh's room? By the way, I'm Shanaya. Shanaya Rao. Nice to meet you all!"

I so badly wanted to drag my hand down my face at how everything has turned out to be but instead I ended up giving her 'are you serious?' look.

Well, it was just not me, but looks like everyone gave her the same look.

"What? I did witness a kidnapping here," Shanaya grinned looking from face to face. This is going to be a completely another head

ache to handle. I might have to lock her up in that dark car trunk to let her have the intensity of the situation to sink in.
