The day where Kaedehara Ryota became the PRO of the Student Council.

Two years ago. Ryota's POV, Shuchiin Academy.
My name is Kaedehara Ryota, 16 years old, and I'm currently a freshman in a prestigious academy.
From what I heard, the students here hailed from rich and powerful families.
To be honest, I could've studied in a public high school or to the same school that Saya was attending.
But....
My father received a letter of admission to Shuchiin itself. The letter was actually addressed to me, and who knows what the heck is going on.
Yet my Dad said to take this a chance for me to expand my horizons and all.
I mean, I just barely arrived in Tokyo after being in the countryside for years.
So, I was a little bit late when I began studying here in this academy. So far, my life is peaceful. I never knew that rich kids can be carefree and stupid as well.
At the end of the day, everyone in this academy are still kids who are growing up and being nurtured.
I noticed that a few people began talking to me. Namely, the granddaughter of the former Prime Minister of Japan, Fujiwara Chika.
Then, another one was Shirogane Miyuki who was actually the former PRO. Recently, he became the Student Council President of Shuchiin Academy.
If I remember it correctly, the President is only one being elected by the Student Body, while the other positions......
The President is the one who recruits the vacant positions.
As of right now, I'm chilling on one of the benches......while eating the sandwich that my mom made for lunch.
Ryota: It's nice spending time all by yourself.
Ryota: No troubles, just you and yourself.
Not to mention, I already became a member of the music club and became one of its core members.
We've been doing concerts and other music related stuff.
I enjoy it to be honest.
Then, people somehow began approaching me. Asking me for advice or if there is something I could help.
I usually give what I can help and do. In fact, there are things that they are hiding it, but not from me. I can sense they are hiding something through their body language or when they became agitated or something like that.
But now......
I'm just chilling here, having the time of life.
Ryota: I wonder how things are going on back at the café? I'm sure things are hectic as it is.
But as I'm thinking about things, like new recipes, advertising our cafe, new events......
???: Kaedehara.
Ryota: Hm?
I then found myself being approached by none other than the Student Council President himself, Shirogane Miyuki.
Ryota: Prez?
Miyuki: Ah, no need to be on guard with me, Kaedehara.
He takes a seat beside me.
Ryota: So.....I believe you're here for a reason, right?
Miyuki: Sharp as always, I see. Then perhaps you already know the reason why I am here.
Ryota: No way, you can't be serious. There's no way—
Miyuki: I haven't even told you your job and yet here you are declining it.
Ryota: There's no way I could be in the Student Council. There are much better candidates than me, you know.
Miyuki: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, your sharpness and awareness is what the Student Council really needs.
Ryota: What?
Miyuki: I saw how you helped those who were troubled by giving them friendly advice or encouraging them.
Miyuki: But you also never held back in showing them the harsh and painful reality of this world.
Miyuki: We need a man like you in the Student Council.
Ryota: Why?
Miyuki: Like I said, you can read people like it's child's play. You can give a chance to others to peek through reality and find the strength to solve their problems or find any alternatives in impossible misfortunes.
Miyuki: We need a wise counsel in order to keep us balanced.
Miyuki: That's why.......
He stands up......faced in front of me.......
Miyuki: On my authority as the Student Council President......
Miyuki: I elect you as the Student Council's PRO—
Ryota: Sorry, I have to decline.
Miyuki: Eh?
I gave him a smile.
Ryota: Sorry, but I really can't. You need to find someone much better than me—
Miyuki: But—
I stood up as I finished my sandwich.
I'm just giving you a glimpse of reality here, Prez. I'm not worthy.
But that was just the beginning.
The Prez once again offered me a seat in the Student Council for the second time.
He was stubborn in fact. He even asked me the reason why I declined, it is all because there was someone in the Student Council I can't trust. In other words, Shinomiya Kaguya.
I never trusted her at first all because I can see nothing but hatred and darkness all around her. When I first saw her, I immediately take note that I should not get involved with a person like her.
When he finally knew what was the reason, he persuaded me......yet it didn't work.
Until.......for the third time........
Once again, he offered me a seat to the Student Council.
Ryota: The hell? You just really won't give up, do you?
Miyuki: As if I'd let someone as talented as you walk away? I won't let you waste such a talent!
Miyuki: So again for the third—
Ryota: *sigh*
Ryota: The dignified Student Council President.........
Miyuki: Please, I beg of you!
And speaking of beg, that is the majority of what's been doing for the past three days.
I don't even know what the hell is wrong with that guy.....?
He's.....
I can't believe he can be this stubborn.....yet I can saw that he really wanted me to join the Student Council.
The determination hidden behind his eyes.......
I am a man who respects those with great determination.
So, I finally conceded.
Ryota: Alright, fine. You win, Prez.
Ryota: I'll join the Student Council.
Miyuki: Wait, really!?
Ryota: Dude, you already asked for it the third damn time.
Ryota: And even if I reject it for the third time, you won't stop pestering me about it!
Yet on that day, I knew that Miyuki will become a great Student Council President.
So that's the reason why I decided to join the Student Council, to support him in whatever way I can.

The story of Ryota joining Student Council was compared to Liu Bei's Three Visits to the Thatched Cottage.
Just like Liu Bei who heard Zhuge Liang's wisdom and knowledge, wanted such a man to join him and become his strategist. So Liu Bei visited Zhuge Liang in his thatched cottage for three times, before the legendary strategist decided to accept the position by witnessing Liu Bei's sincerity.
The same goes by how Miyuki persuaded Ryota three times to join the Student Council. Ryota saw how the President is willing to go.......
So that's the reason why Ryota accepted it.
And even until today......
Ryota always knew that Miyuki will always go above and beyond expectations.
That was also the day where the Legendary Duo of Shuchiin came to be known throughout Shuchiin Academy.
