"Because the last time I left you alone you seemed to have too much "fun"!" my mom shouted at me as she got her coat on and ready for a "girls' night out".
Y/n: Oh! So you can get drunk and get funky with your friends and I can't!?
Mom just gave me a death glare which made me finally shut up. "If you're done, it's not any of your business if I do get "funky". And for your information, this babysitter doesn't take much to anger, so don't. Make. Her. Mad." mom said to me before grabbing her purse.
Y/n: Yeah yeah. Just... tell me if you're staying the night at Liza's house, I'm concerned about you... sometimes.
Mom smiled at me and kissed me on the head, "I will don't worry. And it's nice to know you do care about me, I thought I was just being used. See you later, sweetie." mom said and kissed me on the head again.
Y/n: Shouldn't you wait until the babysitter gets here?
"That shouldn't be a problem, kiddo." I looked back and saw Calcium Man standing there, or "Sans" as he's called.
Y/n: Oh, Mr Sandman is babysitting me?
"I said "her" if you were listening." mom replied with a smile. "Good luck, kiddo," Sans said before a girl suddenly appeared. Mom then left the house and Sans disappeared which left the girl and me alone.
The girl appeared to be wearing some brown shorts with black leggings and a green and yellow sweater over a white t-shirt.
Y/n: Uhhhhh, hey-
"Let's get this over with." the girl said before grabbing the collar of my grey t-shirt and throwing me on the sofa.
Y/n: Oi!
"Shut up." the girl replied before going into the kitchen and coming back with some chocolate. She sat down next to me and simply put the TV on as she started to watch it.
Y/n: Well damn, alright.
I crossed my arms in a huff and watched the TV knowing this was going to be boring.
Y/n: Could you at least tell me your name?
"... Chara." the girl replied before taking another bite of her chocolate. I looked at her and noticed that the chocolate she took was MINE.
Y/n: Hey, you're... eating MY chocolate.
Chara: So?
Y/n: Keyword: "MY".
Chara:... Well, did it have your name on it?
Y/n: Well, no-
Chara: Then finders keepers.
Y/n: Hm, I bet you would've taken it anyway.

Chara glared at me, but it was nothing like mom's glare.

Chara grew flustered and hit my arm before looking at the TV.
Chara: Shut up.
Y/n: Uh-huh. Well, I'm gonna go do something else.
Chara: No.
Y/n: No?
Chara: They said I can't let you out of my sight.
Y/n: "They"?
Chara: My friends if they want to forgive me.
Y/n:... I shouldn't ask this.

Y/n: Well, I was gonna go jerk off, so you'd have to watch.
Chara instantly looked at me with a glare, she then slapped my face and finished eating my chocolate.

Chara stared at me and it became a stand-off. I put my hands on my body and slowly took them down to the black trousers I were wearing. Chara seemed to be watching me and looked away when I started to unbuckle my belt. I threw my belt onto the ground and grabbed my trousers before-

Chara grabbed my hands which made me stop and smile at her.
Y/n: Ok? Like we'll do it upstairs?

Chara took her hands off mine and sighed before giving me her full attention.
Chara: Y'know Mount Ebott?
Y/n: Mhm.
Chara: And you know Monsters obviously.
Y/n: Mhm. I already knew they came from there.
Chara: Well this'll be easy. So, to start, many years ago I got bullied for my eyes and jumped into Mount Ebott to kill myself. But the King and Queen's son saved me and brought me to their castle where I became a family with them. But... I got ill after eating buttercups and my brother took me to here, the Surface. However... he... he got killed because the Humans thought they killed me...
Chara: But years later... this Human called Frisk, y'know?
Y/n: Yeah, the one I don't like.
Chara: Wait, why?
Y/n: Uh-uh, you first.
Chara: Ugh. Well, after he freed the Monsters, he Reset the world and went on to kill the Monsters because he was "curious". And thanks to that, I was awakened and killed him at the very end of their little journey. But they Reset the world again, freed the Monsters, and somehow revived me. At first, everyone was happy, except the comedian who tried to kill me for the Genocide.
Chara: And guess what!? They all had the decency to believe I was the one who made Frisk kill everyone! Which he revealed! But thanks to Toriel, I was given a chance. So I was given a whole task list to do which included looking after a Human.
Y/n: Ah, and why me?
Chara: Hey! I didn't want to! Especially a weirdo like you! But Toriel and your mom were in cahoots!
Y/n:... That bitch.
Chara: Yes! Exactly!
Y/n: Well, you don't have to look after me.
Chara: No-no, I do.

Chara instantly laughed at the nickname I gave Sans and I smiled. I let Chara laugh and she eventually calmed down by taking a deep breath.

Chara: I like Calcium Man! Sounds like a shitty superhero!
Y/n: Which he is.
Chara: Yeah... I hate that comedian.
Y/n: So he's not watching?
Chara: No.
Y/n: So how would they know?

Chara then slapped me on the face but I dodged and grabbed her before dragging her over me. She was now pinning me down with a glare on her face.
Y/n: Woah, buy me a drink first.
Chara grew flustered and immediately got off me. I sat up and looked at Chara, she looked away and watched the TV.
Y/n: I'm gonna get something to drink, want anything?
Chara remained silent, so I stood up and went to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and picked out one of my favourite fizzy drinks before taking another one out. I walked back into the kitchen and tossed the other fizzy drink to Chara who caught it. I then sat down and took a sip of my drink. I heard Chara open hers which was followed by a slurp.
I watched the TV but could hear Chara mumble about "having energy" and "fun" which just confused me. When I finished my drink, I put it on the coffee table next to Chara's already-finished drink. I then looked at Chara and saw her shaking on the spot.
Y/n: You alright?
She then instantly snapped her head to look at me, she appeared to have a big =) on her face.
Chara: Yes! Fine! Fine! Fine!
Y/n: Why are you shaking?
Chara: It's just been so long!
Y/n:... Since I've seen my son?
Chara: Lost to the man!
Y/n: Heh, behind the slaughter.

Y/n: Since you've drank anything fizzy?
Chara: Mhm! And it's been so boring! But now I can have some fun thanks to you!
Y/n:... Fun? I have an Idea.
Chara: Oh! Like what!?
Y/n: Heh... it's a game called "kiss and/or consequences". We have to move our faces closer to each other and whoever chickens out gets a free kiss and gets to tell the other person what to do.
Chara: What if neither of us is chicken!?

Chara thought about it before shaking her head and slapping me.
Chara: No! I won't give in!

Y/n: Ha, alright.
Chara: But that game you said sounded fun.
Y/n: The kissing one?
Chara: Mhm. How about if I put on a scary movie, the first one to get jump scared has to do what the other person tells them.
Y/n: Oh! Hell yeah!

I got up and went into the kitchen and made some simple microwave popcorn. I also grabbed some bags of chips (crisps) and took them into the living room with the popcorn and fizzy drinks. I set it down on the coffee table and saw Chara was ready with the film. So I turned the lights off and joined her on the sofa.
Y/n: The deals also lasts until midnight.
Chara: Good thing we have a while to go.
Y/n: Which movie?
Chara: A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Y/n: Heh, cool.
Chara: Prepare to be humiliated.
Y/n: We'll see about that.
Chara started the movie and I made sure to keep my focus on the movie to not be jump scared. And to make sure I didn't catch Chara cheating, I would look at her out of the corner of my eye to see her just eating the popcorn. I then grabbed a big packet of chips and started to eat them as I watched the moving.
Halfway through the movie, I had come close to being jump scared but managed to keep my composure. I looked at Chara and saw her smiling as she watched the movie, she then took a sip of her fizzy drink. Wait, she's cheating! She's watched it before! Or she enjoys it!
I let out a huff of annoyance and just went onto my phone.
Chara: Oi, watch the movie.
I looked at Chara.
Y/n: No. You've watched this before or enjoy it, so it's cheating.
Chara: Seriously?
Y/n: Mhm, you know what to expect.
Chara: Actually, I've never watched this before. And I like scary movies.
Y/n:... Really?
Chara: Yes, so stop being-
*SCREAM!* A loud high pitched girl scream then came from the TV. I saw it made Chara flinch, but I didn't jump. I put my phone away and chuckled.
Chara: That doesn't count.
Y/n: I think it does.
Chara: No! You distracted me with your salt!
Y/n: Nothing stated in the rules I could "distract" you! And you could've ignored me.
Chara:...
Y/n: I'll give you one more chance, but if I jump then the challenge is off.
Chara: Ok, fine.
Chara and I went back to watching the movie. We were both intently watching it so we weren't jump scared. However, what I didn't expect was for Chara to cling to me when Freddy jumped through the mirror and pinned the girl to the bed. I looked at her and she looked at me before letting go.
Y/n: If you are scared then you can cuddle.
Chara: And have you touching me!?
Y/n: Chara, if there's one thing I won't do, is touch someone inappropriately. I'll keep my hands to myself, I promise.
Chara went silent but cuddled up to me a minute later. She clung onto my arm and I just wrapped my arm around her to keep her close.
Y/n: So...
Chara: So?
Y/n: I won, right?
Chara: I guess so...
Y/n: Well, I won't go too far, I promise.
Chara: Just... shut up and watch the movie.
Y/n:...
Chara: Could we do this more often?
Y/n: What? Hang out?
Chara: Mhm. Like, we do this every week.
Y/n: So you "babysit" me whilst my mom goes out and your friends start to warm up to you?
Chara: Mhm.
Y/n: Ha, then it's a deal.
We both went silent and continued to watch the movie, but I noticed Chara pull a blanket up and put it over us which made me smile. And as the movie came to an end, I was now laying on the armrest with Chara laying on top of me. Once the credits started to roll, I looked at Chara and she looked at me. We stared at each other and I put my hand on her soft cheek.
Y/n: Well, I enjoyed that.
Chara: Mhm. Now, what are you gonna make me do?
Y/n: I've got to be honest, I do have friends, but none of them are girls. So... we're friends, right?
Chara: Hmm... yeah.
Y/n: Alright, cool. And as for your command? I don't know. Do you need to be home?
Chara: I think it comes down to your mom.
Y/n: Oh, right, lemme see if she's told me her plan.
I checked my phone and saw I had received a text from my mom.

Y/n: Yeah, and I didn't have anything planned to make you do things.
Chara: Oh, alright.
Chara got off me and I got off the sofa. I then took her upstairs and to my room. When we went inside, she looked at the posters of my favourite video games on my walls along with looking at my computer desk. She noticed the box of tissues and pointed to it.
Chara: That obvious?
Y/n: For your information, I blow my nose with them.
Chara: Oh. Then how do you... do it?
Y/n: Why? Why do you need to know?
Chara: I-I... shut up.
Chara grew flustered and I sat on my bed. After she had finished looking around, she sat down next to me.
Chara: Your room is nice.
Y/n: Thanks, Chara. Do you have a room?
Chara: I share one with Frisk.
Y/n: I'm sorry about that.
Chara: It's fine. But... all I want is to be trusted, y'know?
Y/n: I get that. Many years ago, I was a prankster in school, going around causing chaos. But after my dad... was gone... I decided to change and get my grades up. 'Cause when my dad was around, my parents could easily deal with my chaos. But after, I knew mom wouldn't be able to handle it, so... I decided to stop.
Chara: What happened to your dad?
Y/n: He died in a bank robbery because he was an accountant.
Chara: And you don't hate Humans for that?
Y/n: Well, the robbers were caught and sent to prison. But no, I don't. I learned that... life isn't the best at times. Just when you think everything is going so well, it can all be stripped away from you the next day. That's why we have to look on the bright side and keep going. It's not as easy as that, but if one person cares then it'll make all the difference.
Chara:...
Y/n: Chara, you don't have to prove your worth to your friends. List them off to me, who are they?
Chara: Asgore, Toriel, Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, and Mettaton.
Y/n: No Frisk?
Chara: Nope.
Y/n: Well, what did Asgore think?
Chara: He was happy that I was back mainly, he also was the first to forgive me. So he and Toriel are in my good books.
Y/n: I won't ask about Sans.
Chara: Yeah, don't go there.
Y/n: Papyrus?
Chara: He's good, he believed there's still good inside of me.
Y/n: Ok, Undyne?
Chara: She... didn't like it that I was here instead of Asriel, my brother.
Y/n: Oh... Alphys?
Chara: Never had beef with her, so she's neutral.
Y/n: Mettaton?
Chara: Annoying, but his shows keep me off my boredom.
Y/n: So it's Sans, Undyne, and Frisk you don't like?

Y/n: Have you thought about ignoring them or their opinions?

Chara then took a piece of paper and opened it. The piece of paper then went all the way to the floor like it was Santa's naughty list. I took the list and looked through it. I saw "Talk to a Human", "Do something nice for a Human", and "Help a Human" crossed out along with many other things. I saw "Look after a Human" had yet to be crossed out, I also saw "Become friends with a Human", so I crossed both of them out with a pen I grabbed from my desk.
I looked through the rest of the list and saw more things to do. But one of them said, "Reveal to the Humans what you did". I also saw "Gift something to a Human", "Not eat chocolate for a week", "Make a 5-course dinner for us", and the most outlandish one was "Go to jail, you dirty sinner". I grit my teeth in anger and gave the list back to Chara.
Y/n: Have you seen all of them?
Chara: Yeah...
Y/n: How did that get past Toriel and Asgore?
Chara: The group can create anything they like and not have it removed. They can also keep adding to things.
Y/n: Chara, I need you to stop this list, I can see you've done enough to have forgiveness.
Chara:...
Y/n: This isn't right and you know it. I want to help you and I will.
Chara: But Frisk-
Y/n: OH! IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT FRISK!
This made Chara jump and fully turned to look at me.

I held Chara's hands softly and kissed them. Chara looked at me before sighing.
Chara: Ok, fine. But if you do die... then I'll hate you.
Y/n: Fine by me. How are we gonna split it in half?
Chara: With this?
Chara then took a knife out of her pocket. I was surprised but only chuckled. I then focused and made my purple SOUL appear, Chara grabbed it carefully and quickly split it in half before putting one of the halves into her body. My SOUL then flew back into my body and I watched as Chara's SOUL took half of my SOUL and turned it red when connecting it to her half SOUL.
Chara grabbed her chest whilst breathing heavily and eventually calmed down. She then looked at me and I smiled.
Chara: It... it worked?
Y/n: Seems so.
Chara: How aren't you hurt?
Y/n: I Persevered to receive no pain, and it worked.
Chara:... So I'm free?
Y/n: Maybe.
Chara: I hope so.
Suddenly, two bars then popped up in front of Chara, they said "SAVE" and "RESET". Chara pressed Save and then the options then spun around to me.
Y/n: What?
Chara: Y/n, press "SAVE", it'll regenerate your SOUL.
Y/n: How?
Chara: Because I made it give you the option. It seems I also have the power to Reset and Save, so please, SAVE yourself.
I did as Chara said and pressed "SAVE" which made the bars disappear and a weird feeling went through me. I checked my SOUL and saw it was now back to normal. I looked at Chara and smiled at her.
Y/n: Well, this was interesting.
Chara: Thank you, Y/n, I can now live a normal life.
Y/n: If that's the case... wanna go out sometime?
Chara:... Sure.
Y/n: Wanna chill here?
Chara: Yeah.
I then lay down on the bed and Chara lay down next to me. I looked at her and she smiled, I smiled back and moved onto my side. I put my hand on her cheek and rubbed it softly.
Y/n: Can I say, your eyes are beautiful?
Chara: Really?
Y/n: Mhm, it makes you even more special.
Chara: That was such a corny thing to say.
Y/n: But it's true.
Chara smiled and we both stared at each other. She moved my face closer to mine and closed her eyes I leaned in and-

I heard Chara's phone go off and she reopened her eyes. She then took her phone out and looked through it before sighing.
Chara: I have to go, Toriel doesn't trust me much yet.
Y/n: Oh, alright.
Chara: Well, I had fun strangely.
Y/n: Wait, gimme your number.
We both then sat up and we exchanged numbers. Sans then appeared and Chara gave me a hug before disappearing with him. I sighed and just got ready for bed. And once in bed, I decided to text Chara.
Chara <3
[Y/n]: Hellooooooo?
[Chara]: That was quick.
[Y/n]: Eh, I just wanted to check on you in case they did anything.
[Chara]: No, I'm keeping quiet about the thing we did. But luckily they saw we're friends so we can hang out tomorrow.
[Y/n]: Cool! I'll see you tomorrow! Gn! <3
[Chara]: Mhm, Gn.
I put my phone on charge and fell asleep a couple of minutes later.
Timeskip:
As time went on, Chara and I would hang out together every day. We even hung out at school which Chara had recently been going to. She would tell me about how the list and how she decided to stop filling it out so she could appreciate her new life which made me very happy. And at school, I even introduced my few friends to Chara who all liked her as well.
Soon enough, Chara joined our friend group and started to hang around with all of us. We would go around town together and generally have a good time. But I would always notice that Sans or Frisk were watching us which made me realise they were up to something. So I became protective over Chara even if I didn't need to and this caused my other friends to start to ship us.
We both denied the ship, but deep down we knew that we would cuddle every week because that was when my mom went to have fun. My mom even caught us one time, but was luckily too drunk to remember, and just told us about her fun night with her "BFF" or GF as I thought. Turns out, my mom was bisexual.
But anyway, after hanging around with Chara a lot, I had grown fond of her.
This brings us to today when Chara told me that I should go over to her house to meet her "friends". I accepted and readied my karate skills in case something happened. Oh yeah, I started taking karate to protect Chara.
I knocked on the door to Chara's house and waited a minute before it opened. There I saw was Chara in brown shorts with fishnet leggings and her usual green and yellow sweater. She hugged me and let me inside her house. I looked around and saw family pictures but only a few had Chara inside.
I then followed Chara to the dining room where Chara told me the others wanted to meet me. And when we arrived, I saw Toriel, Asgore, Sans, Papyrus, Alphys, Undyne, and Frisk. Mettaton was too busy to join us. But when my eyes set on Frisk, I just felt my anger building up at me because he gave me a smug smile. Chara told me to sit down and I did next to her.
Toriel: Hello, Y/n. It's nice to meet you!
Y/n: Suuuuuuuup.

Undyne: This is Y/n?
Chara: Mhm.
Undyne: Huh, alright.
Y/n: Why? Got a problem? I ain't here to cause trouble if that's what you're on about.

I looked at Frisk and just glared at him.
