After the World Cup, they all flew the New York since this week is the opening of both of Michelle's shows on Broadway. Right in time for pride month. So Christen took an extra week off (thank god they had no games) and all of them are in New York.
Aside from the opening, they are also going to be looking at the property Lola left them near Manhattan so while they are there, they would be staying with Scarlett and Colin in their house on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
//
"You're moving to Manhattan?" Harold asks from behind the camera.
Michelle shook her head and chuckled. "Nah, Los Angeles is still our home. But because there is so much happening in New York. The Outset HQ is here, the Six and The Prom, it doesn't hurt to have a house here. The apartment is just too small."
"This is Lola's property?"
"Mhm, apparently the old lady splurged her money when she found out she was dying. Unlike other people who would buy clothes, she buys properties apparently."
"Anyway, Santana called and now she's also looking for a house in the upper east side. Looks like we're gonna be neighbors up here too."
//
Right now, Michelle is in one of the last rehearsals for Prom and later she is going to run at the other theater so she could watch rehearsals there as well.
She couldn't help but smile when she realized they were finally going to officially open in a few days and it was going to be special, especially knowing it was Pride Month.
Michelle had her arms folded on her chest, a smile on her face as she watched the kids dance with huge smiles on their faces, just enjoying dancing with each other. She couldn't believe how energetic the whole room was. She would have thought that they would have been sick of it by now, but they seem to enjoy it more and more every time.
Beth Leavel, one of the "oldies" of the cast, turned to Michelle with a proud smile.
Noticing someone's eyes on her, Michelle turned her head and looked at Beth confused. "Yes, Beth? Is there anything you could do for me?"
"I remember seeing you on stage the first time when you were 4. And now look at you."
"41 years old and almost retired?" Michelle joked, giving Beth a playful look.
Beth scoffed and shook her head. "Knowing you, you are never going to retire." Michelle laughed and nodded her head in agreement. "But I'm proud of you."
"Save the sappiness for the opening Leavel," Michelle playfully punched the broadway veteran, not wanting to have this emotional confrontation this early in the week.
.
After 2 rounds of practice, Michelle left the Prom cast and ran over to the other theater a few blocks down so she could watch the production of SIX rehearse. This had been something she does ever since they started rehearsing in the theaters so people were kind of used to seeing the choreographer running around the Theater District.
Though that did not generally stop people from filming her every time. Michelle swore she saw a compilation of just her running around the same street the past month on Youtube. If there isn't one, she's pretty sure someone is bound to make it.
Ignoring the phones up and following her as she ran in her red stilettos, she went through the stage door, only to be greeted by their stage doorman, Vince. "Good afternoon Mrs. Press. There are some packages here for you. They're from Mrs. Johansson. Mrs. Santana opened one of the boxes and got the eye cream, I believe."
"How many times do we have to tell you, Vince, that you call us by our first names." Michelle playfully but sternly scolded the younger man but gave him a thankful smile after. "They must be some Outset stuff, thank you so much, Vince."
Having heard that Santana opened one of the packages, which she didn't mind because they were for them anyway, she already knew that Tina, Mercedes, Quinn, and Britt were here with her as well since they would usually come to the theater together.
"There's our runner, there's our track star," Tina playfully greeted Michelle making her chuckle as she showed a new video of her on Instagram running in her stilettos.
Mercedes looked at the video and chuckled. "I don't know how you run in those death traps."
"The same way Santana sleeps with a full face of makeup on." The three of them looked at the Latina, who was talking to the band.
"I don't understand why she does it."
"Forget that, I don't understand how she doesn't have any pimples."
Michelle chuckled and nodded her head. "She wears it just in case something happens and she needed to go out all of a sudden. A kidnapper? A robber? At least she's going to be robbed looking pretty kind of mentality I guess."
Brittany noticed the younger girl, so she made her way toward Michelle and gave her a hug. "I missed you."
"We saw each other yesterday Britt."
"Still."
Now that Michelle is here, they rehearsed the whole thing from the top. Michelle took some notes, made minor changes, and then they were done for the day.

All of the Presses got to visit the property that Lola bought for them, the same property she decided to give to Christen in her will. Were the rest of the family on Michelle's side happy about it? No, they were not. But they couldn't really hate Lola for giving it to the head coach of ACFC because she is a really lovable person.
I mean, who could hate on Christen Press?
It also wasn't a surprise during the reading of the will that almost everything would be going to Michelle and her family since it was well established that she was the favorite. Lola didn't even try to hide it really, but also, they couldn't hate her for it. With the hand she was handed, she deserved all of it.
The house was big, it was a mansion. There were 5 bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, 2 living rooms, and a dining room. There was also a bar (of course), a barbeque pit, and a rooftop.
Christen looked around the house in awe. "And this is only a few streets down from Scarlett? Did your Lola ask where she lived or something? Or is this just coincidence?"
"Knowing Lola," Michelle answered, also looking around. "This wasn't a coincidence."
By the end of the house tour that Lola's real estate agent gave them, the twins and Isabella had already picked their room while Michelle and Christen were getting the master's bedroom. It was a big level up from their condominium back in New York, but this was a bit farther from everything so they are going to have to drive instead of walk like they would usually do when they were in New York.
Not really in the mood to completely move in some of their stuff yet, the 5 of them went back to Scarlett and Colin's house.
//
"We're not moving in-moving in ya know. We just want to have things here as well so when we travel we don't have to pack," Michelle shrugged. "It's exhausting to have to keep packing and unpacking when I split my time here and in LA anyway."

The cameras pointed at Isabella and Ariana, both of them in the zone as they both acted out the scene where Anita saw Tony and Maria in her room after confirming Bernardo's body back at the morgue.
They were both complimenting each other's acting, bouncing lines naturally, and seeing both the actresses cry like that really warmed the crew's heart as they watched the scene firsthand. It was time to sing "A Boy Like That/I Have A Love" and they were clinging onto each other by the end of the song, tears streaming down both of their faces.
Ariana and Isabella:
When love comes so strong,
There is no right or wrong,
Your love is your life!
"He will never be safe here."
Isabella sniffed, regaining herself for her next lines. "Si, lo se. "
"And no one will ever forgive him."
"Will you?"
She watched Ariana "think" before shaking her head. "YOu can't ever ask me that."
"Will you forgive me?"
"Te quiero, mi nina, but he will have to go away. And you will have to go with him."
Ariana started walking away while Isabella leaned on the bed. It wasn't until they heard the word "CUT!" being called out that they bounced towards each other and gave each other a tight hug.
"You were so good."
"Oh my god, you were amazing."
Steven watched the two young actresses talk to each other, smiles on their faces acting like they did not just give the performance of a lifetime in front of all of them. He smiled and shook his head in amusement.
His Anita and his Maria.

SIX The Musical opened first before The Prom, only being 2 days apart but people filled up both the theaters. It was draining, to say the least, since it was back-to-back nonstop partying. Christen was beside Michelle the whole time since she wanted to be a supportive wife.
While Isabella took Ariana as her date to the premier (making it clear to everyone that it was all platonic) since Hailee is back in Los Angeles working on some things though she did send Michelle flowers (and maybe slipped in a few roses for Isabella).
The twins were living their best lives, looking at the performers in awe as they dominated the stage. It was their first time seeing the full productions and all they could talk about that week was how they wanted to do what they were doing. And Michelle was (scared) happy that they were leaning towards Theater and she was ready to support them (after asking them a million times if they were sure they wanted to really do it... they were).
And Theo... well she had no idea what was happening but a lot of people were giving her attention so she was straight up chilling (unlike Michelle who was stressing over her children wanting to be child actors... in Broadway... but she was fine... after a few drinks).
And that was the beginning of 2 amazing shows that changed a lot of people's lives.

Broadway's The Prom Celebrates Opening Night
There were a lot of flashes as everyone tried to take pictures of everyone arriving. Lin Manual-Miranda and his wife were on the carpet, alongside Niel Patrick Harris and Shelby Corcoran. It didn't take long for the cast to arrive, all of them stopping for pictures and interviews.
An interviewer set Beth Leavel aside for an interview, flashing the camera a very charming smile as she tried to listen to what he was saying despite all the noise around her.
Beth: HEY THEATER MANIA!! I am Beth Leavel and welcome to the opening of Prom on Broadway. I hope you enjoy our show just as much as we enjoyed preparing it for you guys!
What would be your ultimate prom theme?
Brooks: Speedo prom
Chris: Speedo prom
Brooks: That would be at A-list
Chris: Wow... wow.
.
Isabelle: Harry Potter-themed. everybody comes in like, the colors of the houses. You have grand ol' time and drink butterbeer.
.
Caitlin: I have been asked about this a couple of times now and I would want it to be like boho, sheek, like, there are pillows all over the floor and we just chill and hang. That would be my ideal prom.
How was your prom experience?
Michelle: Junior prom I went with Lin Manuel-Miranda, he was my date. Senior prom I went with Quinn Fabray and our prom had a dinosaur theme.
Interviewer: dinosaur? Sounds like a lot of fun.
Michelle: It was, Brittany had that idea cause she was the president. It was interesting, to say the least.
.
Isabella: I didn't go to prom, I was homeschooled
Ariana looked at Isabella shocked.
Ariana: Really?
Isabella: Yeah, so I sadly hadn't ever been to prom.
Ariana: We need to find a prom to gatecrash
Isabella: Hell yeah! Count me in!
How do you envision your prom to be?
Aquila: I want it to be a masquerade. Mom took us to see Phantom of the Opera and I want it to be like that. Big ball gowns, masks, and people not knowing who is who. I think it would be interesting.
Interviewer: How about you Diana?
Diana: Masquerades are fun, but Las Vegas.
Interviewer: Las Vegas?
Diana: Yeah, I want it to have so many lights. It's themed red, black, gold, and all of these playing cards. We could even add an Elvis impersonator.
.
Theodora: *Incoherent babbling*
Christen and Michelle laughed, looking down at their youngest daughter with a big smile on their faces.
Christen: I guess that's what she wants for her prom
Michelle: We'll get an interpreter and get back to you on that, she's speaking a language non of us peasants understand.
Theo let out an excited squeal, making the couple giggle and wave goodbye to the interviewer.
