"The best things happen unexpectedly"- Krishnendu Gupta.
In the afternoon:-
After a long labourious day, the sun also became tired. It started it's journey towards the horizon. The afternoon sun casted long shadows on the ground. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. The roads shimmered in the heat of the midday sun. The sunlit skyscrapers pierced the hot blue sky. The afternoon sun bathed the buildings in its warm light. Tiny specks of dust seemed to dance in the shaft of afternoon sunlight, that slanted through the window.
In the house of Gupta family:-
After completing the day-shift duty, both Krishnendu and Haripriya returned to their house.
Both of them were very excited to know about the surprise from Raghvendra and Rouhi. By completing all their necessary works, both of them went to the personal chamber of Raghvendra and Rouhi.
Krishnendu:- Bhaiya, please tell us, what is the surprise for our parents which both of you have planned?
Raghvendra:- I won't tell you about that! I will show you!
Haripriya:- But bhaiya, please give us some hint! What is the surprise all about?
Rouhi:- We will take you to that place, then; you will understand by your own!
Krishnendu:- As you prefer to be the best!
Raghvendra:- Do you want to go now? Are you both tired, then, we can skip this plan till Sunday!
Haripriya:- No bhaiya, we are absolutely alright!
Krishnendu:- Exactly! We can sleep at night also, now, I am dying to know about the surprise!
Rouhi:- Okay! Then, let's move on!
After deciding everything, four of them went out, by taking permission from their parents and grand parents. They started their journey. After doing journey for two hours, all of them reached there. They got down from the car. Both Krishnendu and Haripriya couldn't understand what was happening around them. Suddenly, their eyes fell on the Brobdingnagian mansion in front of them.
Both of them became stupefied by looking at the palace.
Krishnendu:- Bhaiya, what is this? Whose palace is this? What are we doing here? Where is the surprise? Why you have brought us here?
Raghvendra:- Krish, krish! Relax! Calm down! If you ask so many questions in one attempt, then how will I answer?
Krishnendu:- Okay, but please tell me, whose palace is this?
Rouhi:- It is the mansion for all of our family members!
Haripriya:- What are you saying, didi? What do you mean by our mansion? We have left our house behind! Isn't it so?
Rouhi:- Your brother and I had planned about this one year ago, to give a proper gift to our parents with our eligibility and our effort!
Krishnendu:- Bhabhi, we can't understand anything, whatever you are saying! Can you please tell us in details?
Haripriya:- Exactly didi! Please tell us!
Rouhi:- It was about one year ago, we have planned to give a beautiful gift to our parents and grand parents! They are the mortal Gods for us, for their children! But, we don't usually care about their happiness, their sadness; moreover their sacrifice for bringing up their children! We always focus on our happiness and our entertainment, so, we want to give this mansion as a gift to them!
Krishnendu:- Oh my God! Both of you have planned so many things for them! Lovely! But, why didn't you tell us before?
Haripriya:- Absolutely didi! We would have helped you in this matter!
Rouhi:- Actually, we didn't get much time to inform anyone! Your brother doesn't live here for the whole year. So, I have to take care of the construction! All of the labours were instructed to do night-shift work because, I have to go to office in the day time, that's why!
Krishnendu:- That means bhabhi, you often get scoldings from maa and papa for your late return at night into the house, because of this?
Rouhi(smilingly):- Yes! But still, I didn't really have any other options left with!
Raghvendra:- It is almost complete, krish! Only the interior decorations are left! We have also contacted with one of the best interior designer of the city! They will complete this within two or three weeks!
Haripriya:- And when are you planning to give them this splendid surprise?
Rouhi:- On the marriage anniversary of our parents; which is on the next month!
Krishnendu:- Okay! Then, give us this responsibility to complete this rest of the work! Please! Please! Priya, what do you say?
Haripriya:- Undoubtedly! Please bhaiya give us this chance! Didi, please!
Rouhi:- But, both of you have many works in hospital! How will you do this extra pressure?
Haripriya:- It will be our pleasure to do something for our parents and grand parents! It won't become burden for us!
Rouhi:- Raghav, what will you do? They aren't going to listen to our words!
Raghvendra:- But, what about their works in the hospital?
Rouhi:- Exactly! That is what I am also telling, but they aren't ready to listen!
Raghvendra:- Okay fine! But, we are planning this inauguration on our parents' fortieth wedding anniversary, which is on the next month! So, please make sure that all the works become finished within this month!
Krishnendu:- Don't worry, bhaiya, bhabhi; everything will be completed within this time!
Haripriya:- Yes! You can be relaxed now! We will look after all these works!
After discussing about these, all of them returned to their house. The interior designers had already started to decorate the mansion according to the plan. Krishnendu and Haripriya were selecting the colour of the curtains and inner walls.
Night came with the arrival of infinite number of stars. At about, 8:30pm Saubhaagyashree returned to their house from the law office.
Kailash, Katyayani, Prakash and Prapti were sitting in the dining room. They were having a familiar conversation with each other.
Prapti:- Sona, how was your day?
Saubhaagyashree:- It was wonderful, grandma!
Kailash:- What about the case of Jamuna Mehta?
Saubhaagyashree:- Tomorrow, there will be the last hearing of the case!
Prakash:- So, our princess is going to win this case, right?
Saubhaagyashree (smilingly):- Hope so, grandpa! All the evidences are ready in my hand!
Prakash:- That's like my princess! I know, you will win this case also!
Prapti:- Do you think that Sona can be defeated by other lawyers? Not at all!
Katyayani:- Sona, go and fresh up! You must be tired!
Saubhaagyashree:- No maa, I am alright!
Kailash:- Once you complete washing your hands and feet; please come here once! We need to have an important discussion with you!
Saubhaagyashree:- Okay papa! I am coming in few minutes!
Saubhaagyashree went to her personal room. After that, Prakash and Prapti went to their chamber. By completing all the necessary activities and changing her attire, Saubhaagyashree came into the dining room.
Saubhaagyashree:- Yes papa! Tell!
Kailash:- Sona, look at this picture once!
Kailash gave Saubhaagyashree that photo of Arjun, which was given to him by Ekahans, on the engagement day of Krishnendu and Haripriya.
Saubhaagyashree took the photo and looked at it. A stunning smile adorned her beautiful face.
Saubhaagyashree:- Who is this, papa? Why have you given this photo to me?
Kailash:- This is Arjun Sharma! Director general of CBI!
Katyayani:- Sona, we are planning for your marriage! This is the groom, we are thinking about! Please tell us your opinion!
Saubhaagyashree:- Whatever you both think to be perfect! I don't have any problem in this!
Katyayani:- But Sona, you have to take this decision by your own! It is your life! We can help you, but we can't take decisions for you! Please tell something, dear! What is your opinion about Arjun!
Saubhaagyashree:- Maa, I am no one to judge a pers, merely by looking at his photo! But yes, if both of you are that he would be the right person for me. Then, there is no need for further arguments against it! Because, I know whatever you will choose for me, it will surely become better than best!
Kailash:- Okay! Then, we are inviting them in our house for marriage proposal!
Saubhaagyashree:- Okay papa! As you wish!
Katyayani:- But Sona, tell us one thing, what do you think, is Arjun handsome or merely acceptable?
Saubhaagyashree (smilingly looking down):- Yes! He is very handsome!
By saying that, Saubhaagyashree left from the dining room with a shy smile on her face, leaving that photo behind on the tea table. Kailash and Katyayani smiled at her behavior.
Katyayani:- Kailash, Sona is ready for the marriage! when will you call them?
Kailash:- On the next week! Work pressure is high now! I will be be till the next week, it will be better to have marriage related conversation with a free mind!
Katyayani:- Alright!
