"Everyone y/n is here" Yeosang your older brother called In happiness as you entered the garden.
Your friends smiles grew wider as they approached you. "So nice to see you" "you look amazing" "there's my bestie" they called as they brought you into a group hug. Laughing amongst yourselves you pulled away, "you guys look amazing." You complimented as you looked at their outfits.
Today was the annual summer bbq at Yeosang's house. Every year yourself, your friends and the boys would gather together and celebrate a fun day.
San would be in charge of the games
Yunho and Mingi would be in charge of decorations
Yeosang, Jongho, Hongjoong would be in charge of getting the food, along with everyone else chipping in of course.
And finally Wooyoung and Seonghwa, those two would be in charge of buying drinks along with topping them up throughout the day.
Wrapping his arm around your bare shoulders Yeosang brought you over to the small bar which was placed in the corner of the garden.
"What are you going to have to drink?" he asked kindly as he stepped behind the small counter. "I'll just have a soft drink for now Yeo."
"A soft drink?" a girls high pitch voice spoke in shock, turning around you saw Yeosang's girlfriend Hallie, who was now one of your bestest friends. Ever since the day Yeosang introduced you both, you had been stuck to the hip ever since.
"Yeah a soft drink for now" you spoke putting emphasis on the words 'for now'.
Grinning happily Hallie watched closely as her boyfriend fixed you up your drink.
"For now" Hallie tutted, "later on you, me and the girls are having cocktails." Nodding in agreement she wrapped her arm around you, "so what's new with you any boys on the scene?"
Yeosang coughed loudly grabbing your attention. "Baby I'm right here" Hallie shrugged her shoulders, "what? I'm just asking your sister if she's found anyone yet?" "She's not having a boyfriend till she's 50!" Yeosang said sternly.
"Ignore him" I whispered as I turned back to Hallie. "But the answer to your question is no."
"Not even Wooyoung?" she asked discreetly.
Turning aside you saw Wooyoung talking to the oldest of the group Hongjoong and his girlfriend.
If you couldn't already tell you and Wooyoung were the only single ones at this gathering.
"I thought you both got on really well at Yunho's birthday party?" Swirling the broken ice in your glass you looked away from her gaze.
"Y-yeah we did but he said he didn't want anything serious between us. He thought it would be awkward as Yeosang's my brother."
Hallie scoffed aloud causing a few heads to turn our way. "Screw the sibling crap, if you want to be together then do so."
"But that's the thing, he doesn't want anything between us." Biting my inner gums I fell silent, "what if?" Hallie suddenly spoke, "what if what?" I asked in curiosity. "What if you pretend you've gotten yourself a boyfriend? That way we can see how Wooyoung reacts."
"I can't lie Hallie."
"It's not a bad idea you know" Yeosang suddenly agreed making us jolt in fright, he was listening this whole time?
"Let's all pretend and see how he acts. I know what you see in him baby sis" Yeosang smiled. "If he gets jealous then we know he likes you, if he doesn't well then we will find you someone who does." Hallie added as she grabbed her cocktail.

Once the gathering was underway everyone came together and began chatting about their relationships.
Looking down to your glass you somewhat hoped no one would ask about you, but that was quickly changed when Hongjoong's girlfriend called upon you.
"Y/n." Lifting your head you looked over to her. "Any men on the scene? It's been too long since your past relationship you need someone in your life." Hongjoong nudged her gently, "there's no rush" he intervened.
Making brief eye contact with Yeosang you spoke up.
"Actually" you paused, "I do have someone on the scene." All the girls gasped in shock "who is the lucky man?" "I'm so happy for you" they smiled brightly.
"Me and Hallie met him last week, he's a great guy for my baby sister" Yeosang smiled as he added to your statement. "He's even got the brothers approval, I like the sound of him." Seonghwa grinned.
"Why don't you invite him over? Would be lovely to meet the guy that's making you happy" your closest friend Abigail chimed. "Oh he's working today, maybe another time" you replied sounding disappointed.
"Is he though?" Hongjoong's girlfriend teased, yet earning another nudge from her boyfriend. Rolling your eyes you let out a chuckle, "he is, but maybe another time you guys can meet him." "I can't wait. Having another guy join the group will be fun" Yunho commented.
"He will ruin it" Wooyoung suddenly added making all of us turn to him. "How so?" Yeosang bluntly asked. "New people just do" Wooyoung replied with a shrug of his shoulders.
Scanning my eyes over to Hallie a smirk formed on her lips, I think her plan was actually working.
Later On
Taking a seat by the pool you removed your sandals before letting your feel delve themselves into the crystal blue waters.
Swaying your feet back and forth you soon felt a warm presence beside you. "Want some company?" looking up you saw it was Wooyoung, a happy smile showing on his face. "Sure"
Removing his trainers he propped them behind him before sitting beside you. Hearing a satisfied sigh Wooyoung's legs dived into the pool. "You sound relaxed" you spoke with a chuckle. "I am indeed" he smiled.
"So" Wooyoung called breaking the awkward silence. "How did you meet your boyfriend?"
Rubbing your hands together you began to speak, "I met him through work, my managers boss came to inspect my store and he turned up too. We immediately clicked the moment we shook one another's hands."
"Is he nice? Does he treat you well?" Wooyoung asked back to back. "He does" you assured.
"Hey everyone" San shouted grabbing everyone's attention. "I hope you all brought your swimwear as
the first game of the day will be in the pool, any guesses."
"Volleyball" you and Wooyoung answered in sync causing you both to laugh in shyness.
"Correct, so please gather yourselves into two teams and then we will begin."

As you removed your dress you couldn't help but feel a pair of eyes glued to you.
"Is there something admiring about my baby sister?" Yeosang asked Wooyoung causing him to turn away in an instant. "I-I wasn't looking" he stated as he scratched the back his neck.
"You've got an admirer" Hallie teased as she linked her arm in yours. "What makes you say that?" you asked in confusion. "Duh Wooyoung was so checking you out back there, Yeosang even caught him in the act. He's definitely onto you girl, no doubt about it by the end of the night you'll be making out."
You turned your nose up at her comment. "I think making out will be a bit too much. And anyway let's get on with the game."
After battling it out at five games of Volleyball ball the boys team were winning by far.
"This is so unfair" Hongjoong's girlfriend groaned "I say we move the teams around a little."
"If you impose" San added, "let's change the teams boys, the girls are crying from loosing" he shouted causing us girls to scoff in annoyance.
Once everyone swapped around we began to play the final round.
Hitting the ball over the fence it began fo fly through the air, aiming for the back of the pool.
As you started to lift your arms into the air to celebrate the ball was suddenly flying back towards you.
Before you could react it hit you straight and hard in the face, causing you to let out a small squeal. In the mean time Wooyoung stood with shock on his face.
"Oh my god y/n are you ok?" Mingi asked in panic as he swam over to you. "Y/n are you ok?" "What happened?" the group asked in worry as they all surrounded you.
"Guys I'm fine" you reassured, but the moment you removed your hand away everyone's eyes widened. "Shit y/n you have a bruise on your face." Yeosang stated in panic, "come on let's get you an ice pack-" "let me, I'm the one at fault" Wooyoung intervened as he took hold of your arm.
Nodding softly Yeosang watched closely as you and Wooyoung got out of the pool, heading into the kitchen to sort yourself out.
Taking a seat at the dining table Wooyoung gently held a ice pack against your bruised cheek. "Thank you" you smiled as you placed your and on top of his. "I'm really sorry again y/n, I didn't mean to hit you" you laughed a little "it's okay, accidents happen."
Sitting close you looked into his eyes as his grip on the ice pack released a little. "The redness is going down which is a good thing, just keep this on for a little longer I'll be in the garden if you need me."
As Wooyoung stood from the chair you instinctively reached out your hand, wrapping it around his arm. Turning back a gasp escaped from his lips, "s-sorry" you whispered once you saw his expression. "Can you with me please? I don't wanna be left alone"
Re-taking his seat he intertwined his fingers with yours. "I'll stay for as long as you want me to."

"Food is ready" Jongho chimed from the BBQ.
Handing you a small plate you followed Wooyoung over to the BBQ, where the majority of the group had already began to surround.
"One hotdog bun for you and one hotdog bun for me" Wooyoung spoke as he placed them onto each of your plates.
Blushing ever so slightly you headed over to where Jongho was standing. As he placed the cooked food onto your plates you then headed over to another table were all the sauces and side dishes were placed.
Squeezing your favourite sauce over your hotdog you grabbed some cutlery and took a seat at the table. Feeling the same warm presence from earlier on you saw Wooyoung taking a seat beside you.
"Thank you for the food guys" Yeosang called making everyone else agree.
"Yes thank you"
"Tastes so good"
"Also thank you Yeosang for today, it's been great." Yunho smiled.
"You're most welcome, it's our annual thing we can never miss it, now dig in before your food gets cold."
Once all the food was eaten and everyone had begun to tuck into some dessert a small idea came to mind.
Grabbing two bowls of icecream you spotted Wooyoung sitting on the garden swing at the back of the garden.
"Want some company?" you asked, also mimicking his words from earlier this afternoon.
Looking up a smile formed on his lips once he saw you, but the smile grew even wider once he saw you holding two bowls.
"You can't miss out on icecream" you stated as you took a seat beside him.
Handing him the bowl your finger tips graced one another's "thank you."
"Today's been fun" you spoke as the swing began to sway back and forth. "It definitely has, this gathering has to be one of my favourite days" Wooyoung commented making you smile.
"I'm also sorry about hitting you-" "hey" you interrupted "It was an accident, stop apologising" you taunted. "Sorry" he apologised yet again making you both giggle.
"I'm sure your boyfriend is missing you" he spoke up with a slight saddened tone in his voice.
Placing your spoon into your bowl you set it aside.
"I don't have a boyfriend. I lied...we lied" you admitted making him turn to you.
"Hallie thought it would be a good idea for me to pretend I had a boyfriend to see how jealous you got. I'm sorry Wooyoung" you sighed out as you stood from the swing.
"Well you passed for sure" he spoke up making you turn to him. "In the future no more games."
Also setting his bowl aside he lifted his body up from the swing. "What do you mean?" you asked in confusion.
Looking into your eyes he cupped your cheek. "As your boyfriend that's my job to play the games."
Resting your hands onto his hips your lips soon collided with one another's, sharing a soft kiss you couldn't help but smile into it.
"Finally!"
Pulling away you were greeted with everyone's stares.
"So much for pretending" Yeosang teased, "well they kissed didn't they?" Hallie tutted.
"We did indeed" you grinned as you and Wooyoung kissed once more.
