What I love about Michelle
Michelle smiled at the person behind the camera, who happened to be Christen, giving her a smile that is only reserved for her wife. She had this certain sparkle in her eyes as she leaned back and laughed at whatever Christen was doing.
She makes people comfortable even about embarassing things
Giving the woman approaching her a warm smile, she leaned closer as the woman showed her the clipboard.
"Do you like animals?"
Michelle grinned and nodded her head.
"Yeah, I love them. We actually have a dog at home, she's great."
She really listens when someone is talking
Nodding her head when the woman started explaining about the petition, her eyes showing intrigue and interest on what the woman was talking about, which she really was.
"So, would you like to sign this?"
Giving her an excited smile, she nodded her head and signed her name.
"Yeah, of course. Hopefully the dogs will be okay."
"With your help, I'm sure they will be."
She knows me too well, knowing when to push me and when to leave me alone.
Feeling pissed at her performance during the training after a long time, Christen walked into the room. She laid on the bed, just looking at the cieling. Michelle followed in quietly, giving Christen the space she needed.
She went around the room, fixing things and washing her face before looking back at the bed where Christen was still in the same place as before. Trudging towards her wife, she pulled up the sheets and slid in, cuddling with the forward (or ex forward).
She's a great gift giver, like really knows what to give you.
Christmas time, and they were all gathered as a family in the living room, watching as Isabella opened her gift.
"Mom! You didn't!"
She held up the keys to Isabella's brand new car that was parked outside. The 19 year old stood up and hugged her mom.
"I know you were planning on buying your own car, but you were taking too long and I know this is what you wanted and shit."
"I love it mom."
Christen smiled at the two while she sat with the twins, who were playing with the gift wrappers.
She is a mother who plays, really plays.
Christen watched from the door with a grin on her face as she watched her wife play with Aquita and Diana.
"Then Mr. Bwue dwives into the sea."
Michelle gasped in shock as the twins recreated the scene, pushing the bear that was on a toy car into the blue part of the carpet.
"Noooo, Mr. Blue, you will forever be missed."
The twins giggled before pulling the bear out, and showing him to their mom.
"Nooo, it was a jokkee. Mr. Bwue is okay. He knows how to swim wike mommy."
She never steps off playing, or says it's too much
Michelle ran around the grass as she chased the twins around. Hearing them squeal because their mom was gaining on them (though Michelle for sure is just walking at this point)
"Mama mama help."
"Come here you little monsters."
"Noooooo, Mamaaa."
... and it must be too much, most of the time.
Sighing tiredly, Michelle plopped on tne bed beside Christen as they started getting ready for bed.
"You okay honey?"
Michelle gave her wife a smile before turning to her.
"Yeah, the twins just didn't want me to leave the room. I read them 3 books and sung them 2 songs."
She's competative.
Michelle puffed her chest as she looked at her wife, black paint on her cheeks as they got ready to play dodgeball.
"Oh you're going down Chrissy."
She's AMAZING at opening jars, because of her strong arms, which I always found attractive.
Walking into the kitchen, Christen held out a jar of pickles and handed it to Michelle, who was on the dining table, getting some work done. She grabbed it without needing to look at Christen and opened the jar, her muscles flexing.
Christen stopped for a while to stare at her wife's bisceps before reluctantly grabbing it back from Michelle.
She keeps the fridge over full, feeding the family and then some.
Isabella walked in the kitchen, grabbing another piece of cake, ignoring the other cake that was sitted on the counter. Christen looked at her eldest confused.
"You were eating the other one right? Why are getting another?"
"Oh don't worry Mama, Aunt Britt and Aunt Tana is coming over in a few, Owen, for some reason, really loves eating the things on the table."
She looked at the 19 year old confused and concerned.
"Okay? Is this something his moms know?"
"Yeah, he's the person who eats leftovers at their house."
Michelle entered the kitchen and chuckled.
"Something we're trying to stop him from doing, which is why the refrigerator is always full."
Michelle gave Isabella a stern look, but she just shrugged her shoulders.
"I swear that boy is going to grab spoilt or poisoned food on a table and fucking die because of that habit of his."
She can drive a stick... she can drive period, something I couldn't do. Did you know that she used to race back then? Hot.
Christen watched from the bleachers as she watched her wife step out of her race car. They were shooting for the film she was doing and Christen decided to join them for the shoot. Michelle grinned at her, ruffling her own hair, before pulling her wife into a kiss.
"Want me to teach you how to drive this?"
"You sure?"
"I mean yeah, we have insurance so... nothing to worry about."
"For us or the car?"
Christen sent her a look while Michelle smirked.
"Both? I'm more concerned about the us part though."
"I hate you."
"Love you too baby, but you can't drive for shit."
After her whole career taking off with the albums and directing and stuff, she stayed in Manchester with me, moving all 3 of us there for a year until she got pregnant and we moved back to LA, where most of the people we love are.
Michelle went around the room, greeting everyone as Christen's family started coming in. Christen couldn't stop the grin on her face as she saw Michelle pull her grandma into a conversation.
She's brave.
"You really think this should all be in a song? Doesn't this seem so personal?"
Michelle shrugged and gave Mercedes a look.
"I want to be real with my fans, I have nothing to hide."
She has been through a lot, yet here she is. Still standing.
Craddling Michelle in her arms, they rocked back and forth as Christen whispered soft nothings into her ear.
She had been having these nightmares again, specially the night her own father kidnapped her sister and shot her.
"Hey, everything is okay. Everything is gonna be okay."
She's a great dancer.
Walking into the middle of the room, she shimmied her way to the middle and started laughing when people joined her. Santana and Britt easily following her, dancing a made up on the spot choreography Michelle did for the song that was playing.
Infectious.
Christen watched as her wife threw her head back, laughing with Tina and Quinn as she pulled the two women (who weren't in the mood to dance) and dance, the two eventually giving in and laughing with the dark haired girl.
She makes me wish I could dance.
Making eye contact with Christen, Michelle walked over to her with a huge grin on her face.
"Hey love, wanna dance with me?"
She listens to me, makes me feel seen. Not brushing my opinions out, actually taking it into consideration and putting it into action.
"I really think we should do this for the next capsule."
Michelle leaned closer, resting her chin on Christen's shoulder as she looked at computer screen in front of them.
"Yeah sure, I think that's a great idea. Go for it."
"You really think so?"
"Honey, I'm sure that even if you sell rags and carpets for your next capsule for your next capsule, people would be lining up to buy it. That's an awesome idea. Go for it."
It's great seeing my ideas come to life, and I really appreciate her for that.
Looking at the finished product, Christen and Michelle looked up and stared at the wall in her office. The beautiful painting Michelle did of a bunch of flowers (and Chris helped with emotional support... and maybe one or two flowers) on the wall, elegantly placed on the wall.
They gronned at each other and high-fived.
"We make a great team."
"We really do."
Hearing my ideas are her favorite things to do, no matter how busy she is. She listens.
"Yeah, we could get this shot in this angle? We need this shot done while there is natural light."
Julia nodded.
"Do you want his here of he-"
She was interrupted when Michelle's phone rang. Michelle gave Julia an apologetic smile and her employee just nodded in understanding.
"Hey my love."
"Hey baby, are you busy? I kinda need you for something."
She looked back at Julia, putting her phone by her chest somshe could talk without Christen hearing.
"Let's move the shoot to tomorrow morning, it's about to get dark anyway."
"The wife needs you?"
Michelle hummed and gave Julia a cheeky smile.
"Yeah, duty calls. Tell everyone they have to be here by 7 sharp. I have to go."
She taught me the importance of being my authentic self.
"If people don't see you as this amazing person as you are, fuck them."
Christen smiled at her wife, who had been ranting for the past hour or so about all the one negative comment she saw about Christen on her instagram.
She is undaunted. She never lets other people's opinions and other problem keep her from what she want to do.
"This is literally impossible to do Michelle."
Rolling her eyes, Michelle walked in the helicopter with a confident look on her face.
"I'll make it possible."
She's my favorite person.

What I love about Christen
Christen followed behind Mitch, listening to what the woman was telling her about the dogs, looking just as intrigued as her wife.
Her smile, her infectious smile that she wears all the time.
Christen jogged back over to the field, a smile on her face as she subbed in for Pinoe. Michelle couldn't help but smile at the beaming smile her wife had on her face.
It could light up the whole room.
Ashlyn nudged Michelle playfully as she watched her best friend look at her wife with a lovestruck expression, staring at a smiling Christen Press.
"You are so inlove, it's disgusting."
"Shut up, you look at Ali the same way."
Her positivity, when I start doubting myself and the project that I am working on, she's there telling me that everything was going to be alright.
Christen walked towards Michelle with a determined look on her face.
"You could do this, you hear me? You could do anything and everything. You're Michelle Press for goodness sakes. Everything is gonna be alroghr, you're a legend."
Michelle playfully rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"I am not a legend, stop exaggerating."
"You. Are. A. Legend. Now shut up and kiss me."
"Yes ma'am."
And everything was, because I'm right beside her.
I sighed in frustratiom as they, once again, cancelled on me. They got the dates for the studio mixed up and decided to just stop the shoot at that location for the third time.
"Hey."
I felt Christen intertwine our fingers together, making me relax a bit more.
"Everything will work out fine, trust me."
She listens to all my crazy ideas.
"How do you feel about me jumping off that helicopter?"
Christen looked at Michelle concerned, reasing back over the script she wrote.
"Uh... I think it's unsafe and incredibly stupid, but it will look cool... can I do it with you?"
She's incredibly neat, and I rely on her to keep things in order.
Christen walked into the kitchen, her hand automatically going over to the mug on the counter that Isabella left and walking over to the faucet, cleaning it up. She went on to fix the cupboard, listing things that they were running out of because she was going grocerh shopping after tpshe takes a bath.
Stepping back to look at the clean kitchen, nodding her head in satisfaction.
She's energy consious.
Walking into the room Michelle was in, Christen's hand uncously went over to the light switch, turning the light off.
"Uh... babe, still in here."
Christen stepped back and gave her wife a cheeky smile, turning the light back on.
"Sorry honey, force of habit."
She's is literally the most adorable human being ever
Wobbling into the room, Michelle couldn't help but smile as Christen made her way over to her.
"Babe?"
Michelle hummed, running her hand through her hair as she gave her her full attention.
"I missed you."
Michelle grinned and pecked Christen's lips.
"I missed you more."
Minus our children of course.
She rarely cooks in the kitchen, when when she does, it is to die for.
Moaning in delight, Michelle finished up the food that Christen cooked for them.
"Ugh, this was so good Chris. You should cook more."
"Shut up, you're my wife, you're obligated to say that."
She can't drive for the life of her, but atleast she's trying, right?
Michelle gripped on the door handle of the car as Christen, once again, missed a turn.
"Baby, you're going the wrong way!"
"Oops sorry."
"The wall! That's the wall!"
They ran into the wall of the track as Michelle just kept her eyes close. Once she opened her eyes, she looked over to her wife who just looked around wide-eyed.
"That was... you are never driving this car again."
Christen takes my mood in subtly, she doesn't give into them or make me feel bad. Especially with all my mood swings when I was pregnant.
Oh the mood swings.
"You are not about to eat that chocolate bar."
Michelle stopped mid bite as she looked back at Christen.
"But I want it."
"No, put it down."
Michelle huffed and put the chocolate bar down.
"Fiiineeee."
She's a great dresser, she never dresses embarrassing, something that runs in the Press household I guess?
"Ayeeeee girly, work it. Twirl for me."
Christen grinned and gave her wife a twirl, showing off the sage jumpsuit she was wearing.
"Oh you flatter me honey."
"I'm your wife, it's my job."
She's very competitive.
Giving Michelle the stink eye back, holding the red ball aand holding a smirk, Christen looked like she was ready to kill.
"No, YOU satch out Martins."
"Oh, so I'm Martins now?"
"I'll go back to Press if you let me win."
Michelle chuckled and shook her head.
"Not a chance baby."
"Oh okay, fine then... Martins."
Which makes the game nights at our house rather interesting.
"You can't do that!"
Mitch chuckled and grabbed another ball, finding the right angle so she could hit her wife.
"Yeah I can!"
"Fine, I'm doing it too then!"
Christen charged over to Mitch and stole the ball from Michelle's hand.
"That's not what i did though!"
"Yeah it was!"
"You're breaking the rules!"
"We're playing by my rules now."
"All I did was catch the ball."
"And all I did was catch you attention because I want a kiss."
She loves being a mom, she loves all the things you're suppose to hate
Christen's smile was as bright as it usually was as she watched her children use the potty sit.
"You're doing a great job bubs."
"Mama, I done."
"You sure?"
Aquila waited for a second before shaking her head.
"Nope."
Like the tantrums, the waking up at night.
"Mama... Mama wake up."
Christen groaned and opened an eye, staring sttaight into the bright emerald eyes of her youngest daughter.
"Yes Di?"
"I can't sleep. I need cuddles."
Chris looked back at Michelle, who was sleeping, before standing uo and carrying Diana with her.
"Okay then bub, let's get you back to bed. You want me to sleep with you?"
"Yes pease."
Christen is self made. Her dad, oh how I love her dad, treated Isabella and I like family the first time we met them, everyone did.
"You should eat more."
Michelle watched in amusement as Cody started putting more food on her plate.
"I'm okay Cody, I promise."
"Still, eat."
Including her mom.
Mitch smiled at her phone as a picture of her, Stacy, Isabella and Christen was on the screen.
She missed the older woman a lot.
She came in my life like flash basically, time flew by so fast with her. But I felt like we knew each other since forever
Michelle watched with a grin as Christen leaned her head back, laughing at the joke Mitch told her.
And a plus side? She was able to catch up with the fast paced lifestyle I had set up for myself.
"You have a meeting at 9 with the music producers and the label, lunch with the girls, then after, a shoot with Tana."
Smiling at Christen greatfully, Mitch leaned in and gave her wife a kiss to show her appreciation.
"Thank you so much for reminding me baby, Steph isn't in today."
"No problem my love, now drive safely."
"Well, I am a great driver, unlike you so..."
"Oh shut up."
Getting along with the people that are basically family to me.
Mitch and Christen were at lunch with Scarlett, Santana, Britt, Quinn and Mercedes and Michelle watched with a grin as Santana as Christen told stories and laughed with each other.
She's good at that, creating family with whoever is around.
For the longest time, Michelle has been looking for a woman who was easily going be accepted by the people she sees as family (especially Santana) while being able to handle her lifestyle and someone Isabella sees as a parental figure.
Finally, after 11 years, she did. And that same person had stayed in their life for 8 years now and for sure would be staying forever.
Around her, you just feel... safe.
Christen hooked her arm around Michelle's as they walked back to the car after a long day, they were finally gonna drive home and have a relaxing evening.
She's my safety blanket.
Michelle looked back at Christen with a content smile on her face as they both cuddled.
"What?"
Mitch shook her head and leaned forward to connect their lips together.
"Nothing, I love you."
"I love you too."
She's my home.

And together, we are the Presses.
"Fourth time doing this guys, let's make it the best."
They wore pastel colors this time, with Christen and Isabella wearing pastel blue dresses and Michelle, Aquila and Diana wearing pastel pink dresses. They decided that for the family picture this year, they would be doing it by the pool at the back, honestly a bad idea.
"Okay... 3... 2..."
Isabella leaned closer. She accidentally stepped on her own dress but she lost her balance, falling into the pool.
"...1"
The camera went off and it caught yet another disastrous family photo.
Isabella was halfway from falling into the pool, Christen leaned down to try and help Isabella, Michelle trying to stop herself from laughing, Diana was just clapping while Aquila was looking at their sister like she was crazy.
"Steph, remind me to never have the photoshoot by the pool."
"I did, but you didn't listen."
"Okay but in my defense, I didn't think this was gonna happen the fourth time."
