Isabella started pacing around the living room, biting her nails as she clutched onto her pencil tightly. They were just waiting for Christen and the twins to finish getting ready because Michelle wanted to bring the whole family to Isabella's test center.

"There were a few major setbacks during my preparation."
Her mind drifted to what went down with Dinah during the beginning of the year, making her cringe and shake her head.
"But I have been preparing for this moment the whole year last year and I won't let those horrid events stop me from doing my best. I got some tips from Aunt Scarlett and a bunch of our teammates in the national team and they had been helping me during camp and the whole CONCACAF Tournament. I think out of everyone there, Tierna helped me the most. It was kind of fun, it became our bonding time. "

Christen and Michelle sat excitedly on their chairs, the twins sitting on their laps.
"This has officially became a family affair."
"She's homeschooled, this is one of the first times that she gets to see a real-life highschool. It's very exciting actually."

"How are you feeling about your Mom basically bringing the whole family?"
"I am too nervous to protest and too nervous to drive so can't really do anything about that. Plus she claims that they have to go grocery shopping but I know for a fact that the 4 of them would be waiting in the parking lot for 4 hours."

Michelle watched her daughter basically burn a hole on the living room carpet.
"Hey, don't stress yourself out too much. This test doesn't define you, you and I both know that."
"What did you get when you took the SATs?"
"1600."
Isabella sighed and looked at her mother exhaustedly.
"You got a perfect score?"
"Whattt? Noooo, nobody is perfect Isabella remember that."
"Except for youuuuuu."
"What? I'm not perfect."
"Your SAT score says otherwise, Mom."

They finally arrived at the testing center where there were a bunch of students roaming around, probably there to take the SATs too. Michelle turned back to Isabella and gave her a reassuring smile.
"You have everything?"
Isabella went over her checklist before nodding her head.
"Yeah, I'm ready."
She gave her Moms a determined nod before turning to kiss the twins on their cheeks and scooting herself out of the car. She gave them one last wave before going into the building of the high school.
They waited until she was out of earshot before bring out their phones to contact a bunch of people that would help with Isabella's surprise birthday party.

"Due to recent events, because of an asshole, my daughter Isabella has been feeling under the weather. She told us that she didn't want to have a party for her birthday but we think otherwise."
Christen nodded her head.
"She has been working her ass off, using training and studying as a means to cope with all of the emotions that she currently is feeling. She overworks herself and puts up a front in front of everyone, claiming that she is fine but we all know she isn't. She deserves to unwind."
"Yeah, plus this isn't going to be like, super big. Just a bunch of close friends and people she hasn't seen in a while. We feel like she needs to be surrounded by other people aside from us for a change."
Christen's eyebrow rose when she heard Mitch say that this wasn't going to be super big.
"You sure about it not being super big?"
"I mean.... how would we define big anyway right?"

"So you free on 15?... yes it's in 2 days. YES! Thank you so much I love you. Byeee see you."
Christen looked at Michelle, waiting for her confirmation. Michelle nodded causing Christen to grin.
"Yesss!!"
"Yeeaash!"
Mitch and Christen looked behind them to see the twins also cheering despite not knowing what happened causing the couple to giggle at how cute they both are.
"You guys are adorable."
"Adoble."
Diana nodded at Aquila, acting like she knew what that word meant.
"Ugh, I love you girls so much. Now to call 25 more people."
And Isabella's prediction was right. They stayed there for 4 hours, planning and calling people. They even packed a bunch of snacks for the twins incase they got hungry, half of which Michelle stole.

4 hours had passed and so far everyone has been on board. Isabella came bouncing out of the doors of the high school (everyone staring at her, as they should, at this point, she is used to the stares since people had been constantly staring at her since she was 11 because of the status of her mom (actually even before Mitch joined the team). She opened the car door and smiled at her family.
"Hellooooo I'm baaack from hell."
Christen turned around as Michelle started the car.
"How was it babes?"
"It was fine, I feel confident I will get a high score but not confident that I will get it perfect but that's fine I guess. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks."
"I'm sure you did amazing sweetie."

It's already the 15th and so far Isabella has not been picking up the stressed aura both her parents are goving off, especially Michelle's.
Right now Isabella is out with Bailey, Sean and Kaycee for a little birthday photoshoot and brunch before they head over to the studio for another class but this time with Matt. The 3 of them have been trying their best to distract Isabella from first, thinking about Dinah, second, stressing over her SATs and third, the surprise birthday party her Moms are arranging.

"I am super excited because a bunch of people are flying in to celebrate Izzy's 17th birthday with us." Michelle said with a huge grin on her face as she and Christen sat in front of the cameras.
"Yeah, we found a great hotel near the beach with a beautiful hall that we turned into a disco, we set up a stage for a bunch of performers and everybody is on their way to help set everything up."
"I'm so excited."

Sam Evans walked towards Michelle, who has a checklist on her hand as she looked around at the decorations.
"The balloons are up, the speakers are set and Isabella has no clue about this."
Mitch nodded and checked the speakers and balloons.
"Is Santana and Pinoe back with the disco ball?"
Sue looked at Mitch and shook her head.
"Nope, knowing them they got sidetracked with shopping or whatever."
"Can anyone please call them? We still have to ask the staff to put install it and shit."

The 4 of them just got finished with the class so theu decided to go grab some ice cream while they waited for the text of Christen saying that they should head over to the house where there are clothes laid out on her bed for the birthday girl, knowing how Isabella has a thing for dresses.
She doesn't get to wear it as often as she likes, choosing comfort over style, but she loves them.
"Where are we going after this?"
Bailey shrugged as they walked side-by-side behind their best friends, watching both Sean and Kaycee goof around in front of them.
"Probably back to your house, I accidentally left my Airpods there."

Isabella playfully rolled her eyes and bumped shoulders with the dancer.
"You always seem to forget stuff."
"Not when it comes to you though."
Isabella eyed her challengingly, and Bailey returned the look.
"Oh really? What time was I born?"
"9:35 pm, making you Pisces Sun, Scorpio rising and your moon sign is Sagittarius." (A/n: this be my big 3 tho lmao)
"Damn, didn't have to expose my birthchart like that. I didn't think you were listening when we were talking sbout those."
Bailey shrugged and wrapped an arm around Isabella's shoulder.
"I always listen."
"Okay then, Ms Listener. How many birthmarks do I have?"
"2 but they faded away once you reached puberty."
"Pets aside from Bambi?"
"Nome because Aunt Mitch really didn't want you to have one in the first place but you somehow finessed your way into adopting Bambi."
Isabella grinned proudly and nodded her head.
"And now she is a vital part of our family."

"Bambi, get down from there please. Oh my god why did I let Isabella finess me into adopting a dog?"
Christen giggled and shook her head.

"Who? Bambi or Isabella?"

Michelle laughed, leaning her head back and covering her mouth.

"I swear to god, Michelle thinks that Christen is the funniest person alive. I mean she has her moments but she's not THAT funny."
"Yeah, just the way you lean your head back and laugh like a fucking hyena after she tells you a joke is just... disturbing."
Michelle playfully glares at the both of them.
"I laugh that way because I think what she said was genuinly funny. Plus, I see Sue and Ali laughing at both of your jokes all the time even if it's fucking dry as hell."
They both looked at Mitch offended.
"Take that back."
"No. I just spit out straight facts. You guys are just jealous I never laughed at your jokes like that."

Becky went over to the table where Michelle and Christen were and gave them a smile.
"A few more guests are here, and Pinoe and Tana are back with the disco ball."
Just as Becky finished informing them, Pinoe and Santana strutted in, holding a big disco ball and a bunch of other paper bags, obviously having gome shopping before coming back to the hotel.
"We got the best disco ball ever. It could open up and lights come out."
"You're welcome."
Mitch gave them a thankful smile before going to one of the staff who grabbed a ladder and started installing the disco ball. Just as he finished, Scarlett came in with Colin, Little Rosie and the rest of the USWNT.
"Damn, this is looking nice. If this is what her 17th looks like, imagine her 18th."
"Isabella wanted the theme for her 18th to be suits and corsets so might be a bit victorian era themed."
"Damn."
They stood back to admire their work until the door opened, revealing some of the guests.
"Wait a damn minute."
"Is that who i think that is?
"Oh my god."

Isabella eyed her 3 bestfriends when they started acting weird.
They were on their way back to the house since Christen had texted them that it was go time.
"Are you 3 okay?"
Sean and Kaycee looked at her through the rear view mirror since Sean was the one driving them before glancing at Bailey who sat beside her, clearly avoiding eye contact.
Looking at them, she already had a clue about what is about to happen.
"You guys are bad actors, bot for the sake of my parents and the people involved, I am gonna brush this under the rug."

"It was pretty obvious when we got in the car. I wouldn't have had a gut feeling about all this if they didn't start acting suspicious in the car ride back home."

When they arrived at the house and the three let Isabella go up to her room to get dressed before they went to the other guest room where they put their clothes in.
They finished changing before Isabella did so they sat on the couch to wait for her.
They heard heels clinking down the stairs making them look up, their curious face turning one of full of awe.
"Wow."
Isabella gave them a shy smile, giving them a playful twirl before grabbing her phone. She walked beside Bailey, who couldn't keep her eyes off of her.
"You look beautiful."
She gave her a wide smile and winked.
"Not too shabby yourself Sok."

Arriving at the venue, Isabella looked around with a content smile on her face. She had never been to this side of the beach before, and it was beautiful. Not a lot of people hanging around.
They pulled up at the hotel and Bailey helped Isabella out while Sean helped Kaycee. They were led to a hall, when they opened the door, the lights opened and everyone screamed 'Happy birthday' making her grin and immediately rush to her mothers and gave them a hug.
"Thank you guys."
"You deserve a break bubs."
"Teee? Up up?"
"Me up!"
Aquila and Diana lifted their arms up, signalling their older sister that they wanted to be carried so she did. She felt herself smile looking at everyone around her.
Scarlett and her family were here, so were the LoPierces, the whole USWNT including Vlatko and of course Sue and Kling (they are a package deal with Pinoe and Tobin), RDJ , Florence, Elizabeth Olsen, RDJ, Victoria Pedretti and Chris Evans.
All the people she had grown so close to over the past few years.
"Wait til you see the lineup?"
She looked at her mother confused and that's when she noticed the make shift stage in front. She looked at it curiously until the lights dimmed, showing off the disco ball Santana and Megan bought.
"Let me hear you say, hey Miss Carter."
Everyone started screaming while Isabella looked at the stage in disbelief, looking at her godmother who was in her performance clothes.
"Hey Miss Carter."
"Say heeeeeey Miss Carter."
"Heeeeeey Miss Carter!"
"Before we begin, I just wanna greet our favorite person, Isabella Press, a very happy birthday!!
The beat to Yonce started playing making everyone start dancing to the beat of the music. Mitch and Chris grabbed the twins from Isabella when Beyonce went up to her and asked if she wanted to go on stage. Dancing with the choreo since she still memorized it.

Alycia started strutting into the stage, giving Isabella a smile and a wink and the now 17 year old could feel her heart burst out kf her chest. These are the people she had been missing the most simce they don't always get to hang out, and now they are here just to celebrate her birthday.

"I didn't know I could sing either. I just chanelled my inner Beyonce."
They glanced at Queen Bee and grinned.
"Imagine if she could hear you."
"Oh, I am not ashamed of my love for her."
They giggled and went back to dancing with everyone since they all started pulling people up.
"You look beautiful by the way babes."
"Thank you Leeshy, you look beautiful too."
