Ayesha pov.
Me Soph, Di and Sydel were just laying on the floor with face masks on. We decided to go to her house early to have a bit of girl time. Stephen and the guys had basketball practice so we were alone.
"Your dresses are amazing" Sydel gushed
"I know"
"What time does the dance start"
"9pm. So we have about 5 hours to get ready"
"What do you think Vanessa is gonna where"
"God, I bet she is gonna come in a fucking bikini" Soph said
"That or a thong and a bra" Di added. We all died laughing
"I've heard bout that girl. She actually made Stephen realise he had a crush on someone" Sydel chimed in. ( ) = What Stephen said
I cocked my eyebrow in confusion "How?" I asked
"I remember one time Stephen came home from school in a weird mood. The whole night he was just uneasy." Sydel said.
"What does Vanessa have to do with it" Di asked
"So basically, once he got back from school he went straight to the game room and I was there. I asked him what was up and he said that( there was this girl who kept on bothering him and throwing her self at him.)He said (her name was either Vanessa or Anessa.)Then he was like. (she got into a fight with a girl.)" Sydel continued
"Who was the girl" I asked
"Well he was about to say her name but stopped himself and continued telling me the story."
"Go one keep telling us girl!" Soph said way to invested in the story
"He said ( the girl Vanessa was fighting with made him feel different). He didn't really expand on that. It was funny because it was clear he had a crush on the girl she was fighting with. I asked him what he meant and he just said (that he knew the girl well and that the feelings he was experiencing were new.) I was like if a girl was throwing herself at you isn't that a good thing"
"I always thought it was weird Stephen didn't ever take her up on the offer" Di said
"Same!" Soph said
"Soo you gonna let me go on orrr..." Sydel drawled
"Oh yeah go on go on" I said
"Anyway once i asked that, he was like( no it's not a good thing because ever time she does I feel guilty and it's weird because I have no reason to be.) I said to him it was obvious he had a crush on this mystery girl. He denied it and said ( no absolutely not!) and said (it was impossible because the girl was more an enemy.)" once Sydel finished Diana chimed in
"Oh my god! It was Ayesha gosh it is sooo obvious. You and Stephen 'hated' eachother and look at you now." She said
"I mean he said he liked me since first grade so..." I said
"WHAT!" They all screeched
"What?" I questioned laughing
"He has liked you since you were SIX. You guys are 19 now. THATS 13 YEARS." Soph screeched
"Well shit, I didn't even know yall knew eachother in 1st grade" Di said
"They've known eachother since kindergarten never mind 1st grade" Sydel said completely unfazed
"Did you like Stephen since then?"
"Sorta" I answered in a small voice. What have I got myself into.
"You a liar. We have asked you over 100 times if you liked him and always denied."
"It was obvious during family dinners they would always talk to eachother, if it wasn't about cooking it was about basketball." Sydel said
What about you 3. You guys ain't. Told me bout your love life" I said changing the subject
"That's because it is non existent"
"But- " I stopped myself as I knew this was going no where.
" Let's start getting ready" I declared
"Oh my god. We look amazing" I said as we looked in Sydel's large mirror
"I know. Sydel you can really throw it down when it comes to makeup"
"What can I say I'm a woman of many talents" she said causing us all to chuckle
"Plus I needed guinea pigs to test this new brand"
I had a smoky eye with a plain dark lip. My hair had two braids leading to a bun with tendrils. The other girls had similar looks because we had similar dresses.
Stephen pov.
Me and the team were at basketball practice, I was late because Mr Alexander wanted to have a chat with me a little earlier since Ayesha was over at mine with Sydel.
"Ok! Take a 30 minute break. Not a minute more or a minute less and come back here straight away!" Coach shouted.
We all walked into the locker rooms and sat down.
"Hey What did Ayesha's dad want to talk to you about." Dray asked
"He wanted to make sure that-" I shifted uncomfortably before continuing "- if we were having sex to use protection" I sorta whispered the last part.
Klay laughed at this."Wow. That must have been awkward"
"Yup"
"So. Have you?" He asked
"Have I want" I asked genuinely confused
"Nigga you a dumbass. Have you done it." It took me a while to process what the fuck he was on about. I didn't want to just come out and say yes, so I just nodded my head slightly.
"Yo! When, was it the time I interrupted you two" Dray asked
"Shut the hell up! And no it wasn't." I said. They just laughed and went to re-tie their laces.
"Yo Stephen. Are you and Ayesha permanent." A guy from the basketball team asked. Dray And Klay's heads immediately snapped upwards and looked at me then back at him.
"Why the fuck You wanna know!" I spat
"Dude chill. I'm just asking. What a girl like Ayesha can't have options, I'm sure it won't be the first time she has looked else where for a little pleasure." He said raising his hands up. I was actually confused, this mother fucker had the nerve to step to me and diss MY girl, knowing what happened to the other nigga who tried fucking with me. Bruh! I looked over to Klay and Dray and they were just as mad as me. Ayesha was like a sister to them so I can only assume they wanna fuck him up to.
"Don't you know what happened to Chris" klay asked. As if on cue Chris walked in towel around his neck and a 'not so faint' outline of man whore on his forehead.
"Yo Timbers. Why don't you remind that prick over there what happened when you tried and failed to diss Steph and his girl" Dray said smugly
"I ain't gonna say shit." He said walking out of the locker room
"Yes me and Ayesha are permanent so don't do shit. Aight! And even if we weren't, if you so much as layed a finger on her, let's just say that gigantic head of yours will no longer be attached to your body." I said glaring at him. That Shut him right up. Klay and Dray patted me on the back before we walked out the door.
