Chapter 20

TW // blood, hospital scenarios/settings (? I'm not sure if this is also applicable but sometimes there are people who get traumas because of hospitals)

I never thought in my entire life I'd be this scared. The girl that I love was right in front of me, helpless and covered in blood. I felt like the time in my own world stopped when I heard what happened.

"Bright! Blue was beaten up- she's.. she's covered in blood!" Shan came to the music room, shaking, panicking and crying. When I heard what happened to Blue, I felt my whole world fall apart. I ran as fast as I could, then I saw her.. carried by the paramedics, in a bad state.

I wanted to get mad, I wanted to find those people who did this to her. But all I felt in that moment was fear, I don't want to lose her. I couldn't bear to lose her. Hell, I might even give up my own life in order for her to live.

"Blue, please.. hold on.. stay strong, please? We believe in you." Bright pleaded while holding her hand. Shan and him were the only ones who were allowed to be inside the ambulance while going to the hospital. Their hearts were breaking while looking at Blue in her current state. They felt weak but they needed to be strong for her.

"Blue, I know you can hear us. We're here for you, alright? Don't leave us, please. We'll be waiting for you to wake up." Shan cried loudly. Too much blood was lost from Blue, the impact of the fall was strong. The two hope that they will arrive at the hospital in no time so that Blue could get the blood that she lost. "Who did this, Bright?" Shan asked.

"I'm sure it's Beam who's behind this. Damn it, that psycho!" Bright gritted his teeth. "Your ex?" He nodded. "Why did she go this far? She deserves to be punished!" Shan clenched her fists. "She wanted to get back at me but I didn't know she's capable of doing this. Fuck." Bright cursed.

In a short while, the ambulance arrived at the emergency room. Bright and Shan were stopped by the doctors when Blue was brought to the operating room. "Please, wait outside." The two begged the doctors to do everything they can to save Blue. Then, they found themselves on their knees, they couldn't help but to sit on the floor.

"Bright, where's my daughter?!" Mr. Noppachorn arrived a few minutes after Blue was rushed into the operating room. "Uncle, she's inside. They're doing the operation now." Blue's father rubbed his face out of anxiousness.

"I'm sorry, uncle. It's my fault. My ex did this to her, she wanted to get back at me. I didn't know this is what she's gonna do. I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect Blue." Bright broke down in front of Mr. Noppachorn. He kneeled and begged for his forgiveness but Mr. Noppachorn insisted him to get up.

"Bright, stand up.. don't do this, it's not your fault. We'll make the real suspect pay for the consequences, alright? Let's just hope that Blue's operation will be successful." Mr. Noppachorn hugged Bright and Shan. His tears were also falling non-stop but he assured the two that they don't need to feel guilty for what happened.

Hours passed, the Chiva-arees and P'Moon also came to the hospital. All of them couldn't stay put in their position. "Damn it. How many hours have passed now?" Bright couldn't help but to grunt. P'Dark calmed down his brother. "Calm down, Nong. She'll be alright." Everybody kept on praying for her fast operation. After a long time of waiting, the doctors came out of the operating room.

"Are you the family of Blue Noppachorn?" The doctors asked. Blue's father agreed. "Your daughter fought hard, sir. Her vitals have been going unstable during the operation but she made it. Good thing she's been rushed to the hospital as soon as possible, she's lost so much blood and if she's been brought here minutes late, then she could've died. There have been a total of 20 stitches at the back of her head."
