I didn't go back home, but instead decided to go to uni and see whether David or Irina could be of any help. Even if they couldn't figure out the riddle, it would be nice to see them.

When I walked into the uni, there was nobody at the security desk- that was useful. I quickly stepped past it, and made my way upstairs to David's office. I knocked once, and then opened the door and saw David sat at his desk, on the phone.

"Yes, that's not a problem." He was saying, and motioned for me to come in. I went and sat on the sofa. "Okay, sure, I'll sort it. Bye." He said, and then hung up.

"Well, what can I do for you today?" He asked me.

I smiled. "Um, I might need your help with something." I said, and pulled out the piece of paper with the riddle written on it. I then handed it to him.

David read it, frowning, and then looked at me. "What is this?" He asked.

"When I was at home, I had an... experience, I guess. With the light." I said. "That's what it told me. That's how I get rid of the darkness."

David's eyebrows went up. "Oh." He said. "It couldn't just tell you straight?"

I laughed. "Nah, that's not really how it likes to work."

He laughed, and then puffed his cheeks. "Well, I can certainly look into it." He said, and then read it again. "Irina is probably better at this kind of thing- have you shown her yet?"

I shook my head. "Not yet."

"I think she's in a lesson at the moment." He said. "You can wait, or I'll let her know that you stopped by." He then took a picture of the riddle I'd written down. "I'll show her this."

"Thanks." I said. "Just... watch your back, okay? Haydn tried to get to my family, and ended up getting to Stella's instead. He would have killed them."

"What?" David asked, shocked. "Are they okay?"

"They're fine." I said. "But they were very close to not being fine."

"And your family?" He asked.

"Work is gonna send out protection." I said. "Hopefully, they won't even know anything is wrong."

He nodded. "That's good." He said. "I'll let Irina know, too."

I smiled. "Thanks, David."

"Anytime." He said, before I left.
