Once again, I was up early to get ready for school. I grabbed a banana and made my way to the bus stop, and half an hour later, I was shoving my way through the science corridor again.

"Hey, Mollie!" Amy called when I walked into the classroom. Nora and Lena waved me over, too. "We pulled up a chair for you."

"Thanks." I smiled.

"How did your art go?" Amy asked, motioning to the large sketchbook in my arms that didn't fit in my bag.

I pulled a face. "I don't know- I think I'm gonna have to speak to our teacher today."

"Let's have a look, then." Nora said.

I chuckled, and opened out my sketchbook to the first page. Our topic was human condition, and so I thought it would be good to start with the human part of things. I'd sketched out a number of faces, all pulling different expressions.

"Mollie!" Nora exclaimed. "These are amazing!"

I could feel my cheeks begin to blush.

"They are seriously good." Amy said in agreement, and turned the page. I'd only managed to fill two pages, but then again, I thought it was a decent start considering the book was A3 sized. "I don't think Mr Harrington will have much more to tell you, other than to keep it up."

I smiled. "Thank you, guys."

"In fact, he'll be surprised you've made a start, seeing as you haven't even had a lesson yet." Amy added.

"Well, I have you to thank for that." I said.

Amy smiled, before Miss Tavern called out the register. We then had to go to assembly, where Mr Eaton spoke for twenty minutes, although I couldn't tell you what he was speaking about- I blanked out after the first few words.

Then, I walked with Amy to art. We had to walk up a lot of stairs to get to the classroom, although it seemed that we were the first to arrive. When we walked in, there was a young man sat at the computer desk- Amy had told me that his name was Mr Harrington.

He looked up when we walked in. "Hi, girls." He said, and then looked at me.

"This is Mollie." Amy said. "She started here yesterday."

I smiled. "Hi."

"Oh, right- I didn't realise we were having a new student." He chuckled.

"Well, you won't be disappointed." Amy said, and once again, I could feel my cheeks begin to flush- I didn't bother using the ice to try and hide it. Stark had advised me not to do things like that, so that I appeared more human, apparently.

"Is that right?" Mr Harrington asked.

"Yeah, take a look at her sketches." Amy said, giving me no choice but to show him my work.

"These are amazing." Mr Harrington said quietly, having sat down with my book. He then looked up at me. "You have any ideas about what to do next?"

I shook my head. "I was gonna come and ask you today, actually."

"Sure thing." He said. "We'll do the lesson, and that way you might pick up some ideas from the others' discussions. If you're still not sure, then stay behind at the end."

I nodded, and smiled. "Okay, thanks."

And so I sat down next to Amy, waited for the rest of the class to turn up, and the lesson began.

__________

As it turned out, the class was only made up of about ten students, two of whom didn't even turn up. The lesson consisted of everyone discussing their ideas, and showing what they'd done so far, in order to help me pick up the topic a bit better and try to come up with some ideas.
