I became busy this whole week in the office with a hectic schedule as my mom strictly ordered me to wrap all my work before the marriage rituals begin. So here I'm engrossed in meetings and concluding the deals even on weekends. I couldn't even talk properly to Khushi because of this work but, she never forgets to message me. It feels good to know that there is a person who cares about us, who inquires that we had our meals or not, and also waits for our short good morning and good night replies. A small knock abrupter my thoughts, dragging me again to the files which are waiting for me on my desk.

"Come in," I said, expecting my secretary with another client detail but met with the girl whom I'm tending to see.

"Hey, I hope I'm not disturbing your work. Mom, I mean, your mom said that you are even working on Saturday, so I brought food, therefore, we can have our lunch together and also to meet you," She said all in one go, making me chuckle.

Closing the door, decreasing the distance between us, I hugged her, nuzzling her neck, which surprisingly quieting my stress.

"Missed me," she asked, holding me in her embrace, there was a mischievousness in her voice. Missed her?? Yes, I missed picking up her from the hospital and dropping her at her house, her chatter- patter throughout the ride, her blushing cheeks, even seeing her eating aur tika wala panipuri, damn I missed her everything which makes me smile heart fully.

"A lot, I even thought to come to your room at night today." I snuggled more, grasping the entire week void.

"No, please, ha, last time you're so closer to get caught to bhabhi. Do you know how much I struggled to stop her from entering my room? I can't take the risk." She replied by retiring from my hold with a horrific expression.

"Let her!! Nothing would have happened. We're officially engaged." I told, intertwining our hands and showing her our engagement bands.

"What would you have said then?? Oh, nothing Bhabhi, we kissed and slept cuddling all night..." she stopped her ranting, realizing what she blurted out with a blush on her face.

"All night, what Kittu??" I teased her, pressing her to the wall and hovering close to her.

"Atharvaa, move, food is getting cold," she stuttered, and I smirked, seeing the effect that I have on her.

Not to tease her more, I moved aside. Holding her hand, I took her to the lounge. Settling herself, she began serving for both of us. I moaned, tasting the morsel of chole bhature.

"Did you like it?? Mom said that you like chole bhature, rajma chawal, and Gajjar halwa, So I prepared them for you." She started calling maa as Mom from our engagement day as maa ordered her with a fake glare.

"You prepared it??" I exclaimed. She nodded as yes with a smile.

"Not bad going to be Mrs. Singhania, I don't know that you could cook this tasty!!!"
