Cassidy's POV:

My memories of Hogwarts could never do the actual castle justice.

After narrowly avoiding Peeve's ice-cold buckets of water that were to be poured on us, we sat at the Gryffindor table.

We were all still soaking wet from the rain and storm outside but the trio even more so since I didn't warn them about the Peeve's attack.

Nearly-Headless Nick, the Gryffindor house ghost, also visited us at the table and talked with us.

     "Good Evening!" He had greeted

"Says who?" said Harry gruffly as he took off his shoes to empty the water that had been inside of them.

I simply did a quick spell over the trio and they were all dry again, then did the same with myself.

"Thanks. I hope they hurry up with the Sorting. I'm starving," Harry said as he settled himself into his seat.

"Hiya, Harry!" said an over-enthusiastic kid. I assumed this was Colin Creevey since he seemed so awestruck when talking to Harry.

"Hey! You're Colin, right? I hear your brother is going to be here this year! I also heard that you like photography!" I said smiling. I couldn't help but feel a pit in my stomach as I remembered him dying in the Battle of Hogwarts.

He beamed and looked at me, "Yes! My brother, Dennis! He's really excited! I just hope he is in Gryffindor! Keep your fingers crossed!"

I nodded my head while smiling, "I'm sure he'd be great in any house."

He smiled and walked away to go sit down in a seat towards the end of the table.

"I'm guessing you know who that was," Ron said.

"Yeah," I said quietly avoiding their gaze. I looked over to the staff table and saw that there were multiple empty seats.

"Where's the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher?" Hermione asked.

"Waiting for the perfect dramatic entrance," I said while rolling my eyes.

'Mad-eye Moody' was going to be the new DADA teacher and I couldn't help but feel that this was going to be a hard year if I couldn't expose him. Then I thought about the fifth year and shivered. Blegh...

"Hey, where's Seamus and Dean? I need to make sure I get my winnings from them," I grinned.

I was going to do my best this year to live in the moment and actually experience Hogwarts while also focusing on the tournament and the events that will happen with that.
